Mastering Lightning from Hogwarts
#442 - Interrogation (asking for monthly ticket recommendation ticket)
"Yes, sir!" Hogg responded crisply, before promptly springing into action.
He first took out several tourniquets and tightened them around the Thunderbird's wounds to ensure the creature wouldn't suffer excessive blood loss. Then, he retrieved a box from his spatial equipment. Judging by the cold air that emanated from the opened box, it clearly had refrigeration capabilities.
Following that, Hogg used his dog paws with surprising dexterity to operate a syringe, drawing blood from the Thunderbird's body. He extracted a full two dozen vials, even forcibly administering two bottles of blood-replenishing potions and a healing potion in the process.
The usually lackadaisical Hogg now presented himself as a professional nurse, tending to the injured with considerable skill. This even sent shivers of alarm through the Thunderbird, who was sprawled on the ground.
What exactly was this dog planning to do to him?
Meanwhile, Anduin was tirelessly working to clean up the scene. He used 'Reparo' to restore the blasted ground to its original state, then used his mastery of control magic to retrieve the landmines and Exploding Spiders he had buried earlier.
He had set quite a few traps for this battle, using up almost his entire stock prepared over the year. Just setting up the scene had taken him a whole day.
There were also dozens of jammers and Portkey blockers. So, it wasn't by chance that the Thunderbird was captured so easily.
Perhaps this Silver Spear's raw strength was greater than Anduin's, but he was far too complacent when facing a well-prepared alchemist.
With Hogg tending to the Thunderbird and Anduin cleaning up the scene, the efficiency of the pair, one man and one dog, was remarkable. Before long, Aubusson was restored to its original appearance, as if no one had ever been there.
"Sir, all done! 200cc of blood extracted. Tests show no contamination, and the Thunderbird's vital signs are normal," Hogg reported quickly, wagging his tail.
"Excellent. Here is my blood. We'll set up camp right here and perform the bloodline transfiguration on the spot," Anduin said, handing two vials to Hogg.
"Set up camp here? Won't that expose us? Didn't we decide to return to the inn to do it?" Hogg asked, a little puzzled, as he took the vials from Anduin.
"That inn isn't safe. Its owner is suspicious. It's too risky to go back," Anduin said, remembering that the Thunderbird had mentioned Martin's name. He had to be careful.
He then pointed to a clearing nearby, "We'll set up camp there and deploy enough shielding jammers around the perimeter. That'll eliminate the risk of exposure."
"Understood." Hogg had been with Anduin for so many years that he knew his master valued efficiency above all else when it came to serious matters. Without another word, he darted off, retrieved his tools, and began pitching the tent.
"What exactly are you going to do?" After some time, the Thunderbird finally regained consciousness from the excruciating pain of his wounds. He looked at Anduin, who hadn't killed him directly but had even treated his injuries, and asked in confusion.
"You'll find out soon enough," Anduin replied coldly to the wretched Thunderbird, before gathering the items he'd taken from him.
As a high-ranking member of the Silver Spear Club, the Thunderbird didn't carry many items.
Besides his aspen wand, mask, and Portkey, he only had a skin pouch on his person that had been enhanced with an Undetectable Extension Charm.
From this pouch, Anduin found over a thousand Galleons in cash, as well as several potion bottles. Most of these were common tonics and healing potions.
However, one potion in a delicate crystal bottle was quite special. It contained half a bottle of scarlet liquid, and its smell was extremely pungent. Anduin was quite knowledgeable, but he couldn't identify its ingredients or purpose at all.
Besides these potions, there were only a few pieces of parchment left in the pouch. One of them was identical to the black market invitation he had received from Aselia. It seemed that Sphinx had also given him one, but the address of the black market was thoughtfully noted on the back of the invitation.
Another of the parchment was a record of magical creature smuggling, which matched the one he had obtained from the werewolf wizard.
The remaining parchments contained detailed information about the American black market, including black market locations, owners, and a list of collaborators.
This was an unexpected gain. Anduin examined them, stored them away, and then took out the bottle of scarlet potion and looked at the Thunderbird. "What is this?"
When the Thunderbird saw Anduin take out the potion, his expression immediately turned ugly, clearly indicating that it was a very important item to him.
"Don't waste your effort. You won't get any information from me," the Thunderbird glared at Anduin resentfully, then closed his eyes and lay there, feigning death.
"A coward who was just begging for mercy is now acting tough? What a joke. You'll talk eventually," Anduin sneered, then fell silent.
Before long, Hogg had also set up the tent. The tent didn't look big, but it was clearly a spatial item enhanced with an Undetectable Extension Charm.
Anduin silently picked up the Thunderbird from the ground and walked into the tent. This calm atmosphere made the Thunderbird very uneasy. He still had no idea what this young wizard was planning to do.
But when the Thunderbird saw the scene inside the tent, he became even more uneasy. The inside of the tent had been transformed into a biological laboratory. In the center was a clean medical bed, and the surrounding workbenches were covered with alchemical instruments and tools he didn't understand. The air was filled with the pungent smell of disinfectant.
After entering the tent, Anduin 'threw' the Thunderbird onto the medical bed. He didn't say anything, but silently secured him and pulled out some wires with suction cups from a nearby instrument, methodically attaching them to the Thunderbird's body.
This silent atmosphere made the Thunderbird very uncomfortable, but he couldn't move. All his magic power had been drained by the two alchemical snakes, and he could only panic and try to shout, "What exactly are you going to do? Just kill me if you want! What do you think I am, the Thunderbird? I won't let you humiliate me!"
"Hmm, I know," Anduin replied calmly. "As a high-ranking member of the Silver Spear, asking you questions directly will certainly not get me the answers I want. And given the nature of your Silver Spear, Veritaserum and Legilimency are definitely useless. So, I can only torture you first. Sorry."
Anduin spoke with a calm tone that made one's hair stand on end. His candor even left the Thunderbird speechless, unsure how to respond.
"Let me explain. I will first secure your limbs, oh no, your left hand and two half-legs, and fit you with a mouth gag," Anduin said, putting something into the Thunderbird's mouth. "This is to prevent you from hurting yourself."
"At the same time, the wires attached to your body can monitor your physical condition at any time to prevent any physiological symptoms that might lead to your death. Don't worry, I will definitely keep you alive."
After saying these words calmly, Anduin looked at the Thunderbird with fear in his eyes and gave an evil smile. "Now, let's begin."
What followed was the longest half hour of the Thunderbird's life. His entire body was stiff with excruciating pain, but he could only watch as Anduin acted on his body as if sculpting a work of art.
Incredibly lucid, he watched as Anduin inserted tiny steel needles into his fingertips, and then watched as the other party stabbed red-hot steel nails into his thighs. Apart from a low moan, he was helpless.
At the same time, whenever he was tormented by the pain to the point of almost passing out, Anduin would thoughtfully slow down his actions and feed him tonics to restore his strength.
Not much time had passed, but the Thunderbird felt as if he had lived half his life. At this time, his eyes had gradually become numb from the initial panic, anger, resentment, and venom. He now felt that living was so painful.
But Anduin had obviously considered everything. The Thunderbird couldn't even bite his tongue to commit suicide.
After busying himself for a long time, Anduin finally stopped and gently removed the gag from the Thunderbird's mouth.
"The first half is over, Mr. Thunderbird. Is there anything you want to say to me now?" Anduin wiped the sweat from his forehead and said in a still calm tone.
"I'll talk, I'll tell you everything you want to know. Please don't continue. You're a devil!" After finally being able to speak, the Thunderbird immediately whimpered in a hoarse voice, even shedding tears as he spoke.
He really couldn't bear it. He had seen torture being used after failed interrogation, but this was the first time he had seen someone who didn't ask anything and just started torturing him. And looking at the other party's skillful movements, it was definitely not the first time he had done this. And looking at the spare torture instruments next to him, he knew that Anduin definitely had other methods he hadn't used.
"It's good that you're willing to talk. I thought you were a real hard bone to chew on with that tough mouth of yours," Anduin nodded in satisfaction upon hearing this. "Let's reintroduce your identity, Mr. Thunderbird. Your real name, nationality, date of birth, and usual disguise."
"My real name is Gerald Stevens, I'm German, and I usually operate as a bounty hunter. As for my age..." The Thunderbird hesitated for a moment when he said this. "I am currently 32 years old."
"Still trying to lie to me? Do you think I can't see through your lies?" Anduin had been using Legilimency all along and instantly realized that the other party's mind had become abnormal when he mentioned his age.
