Mastering Lightning from Hogwarts
#42 - Protection Fee
In Anduin's eyes, the game had become like this: the Slytherin Seeker was wandering around the field, trying to interfere with the other players, but just not trying to catch the Golden Snitch. Several times the Golden Snitch flew right in front of his face, but he just ignored it. The Gryffindor players, afraid that further offense would make the game even more distant and endless, huddled in front of the goalposts to defend. The remaining Slytherin players attacked while trying to open up the situation.
Anduin clicked his tongue. This game probably wouldn't end for a while, and he didn't want to waste his time here. He told Vivian beside him and left the field alone.
In the distant stands, Travers noticed Anduin leaving and smiled sinisterly. He whispered a few words to Randel Rosier beside him, and the two also left their seats and exited the field.
Anduin, walking in front, quickly noticed the movement behind him. The tracking of these little devils had no skill at all; it could be described as blatant.
Seeing this, Anduin knew that Travers must be looking for trouble. Since someone was courting death, he could only fulfill them. After a little thought, he changed direction, no longer heading towards Hogwarts Castle, but instead towards the owlery.
Travers and Rosier saw Anduin change direction and didn't think much of it. Instead, they smiled mockingly and quickly chased after him.
When the two saw Anduin approaching the owlery but not entering, instead going around the back, Travers guessed that the guy might have discovered them and was trying to escape, so he pulled Rosier and hurried after him.
But when the two went around to the back of the owlery, they found Anduin leaning against the wall, looking in their direction, as if waiting for them.
Seeing that Anduin was no longer running, Travers walked forward with a sneer and said, "You filthy Mudblood, why aren't you running…"
Before he could finish speaking, a spell flew over and directly knocked Travers away. He fainted on the spot. Rosier, next to him, saw that Anduin had attacked without saying a word and fumbled for his wand.
Anduin couldn't help but click his tongue at Rosier's flustered appearance. Coming to cause trouble without even drawing his wand was too amateur. How dare he try to bully people with this level of skill?
Anduin didn't immediately attack Rosier. Instead, he walked forward calmly.
On the other side, Rosier finally pulled out his wand, gripped it tightly with both hands, and shouted nervously at Anduin, "You, you stay away! If, if you come any closer, I, I'll…"
Anduin became even more contemptuous of Rosier's embarrassed appearance and said, "If I come any closer, what are you going to do? Are you going to commit suicide?"
Rosier became even more nervous upon hearing Anduin's words, thinking that Anduin was going to kill him. Did he lure them to this deserted corner to kill them and silence them? Under emotional stress, Rosier closed his eyes tightly and shot a spell with a 'ah' sound, holding his wand in both hands.
But the accuracy of this spell was too outrageous. It brushed past Anduin, several body lengths away, but the power of the spell made Anduin look at him with new eyes.
"Oh? It seems that tension and fear can also increase the power of a spell?" Anduin stroked his chin, thinking. Then he glanced at Rosier, who was shouting loudly, and said to him, "Stop shouting. Even if you shout your head off, no one will come to save you."
But after hearing Anduin's words, Rosier not only didn't quiet down but shouted even louder. The wand in his hand also fired spells wildly, but these spells all flew past Anduin.
Anduin was annoyed by this guy's shouting. He waved his wand and directly disarmed Rosier, then walked forward and kicked Rosier to the ground. Then, he stepped on his chest with his right foot, leaned over, pointed his wand at the other's throat, and said coldly, "Want to die?"
Rosier was in pain from the kick and couldn't breathe from being stepped on. He could only beg for mercy loudly, "Don't kill me! It's all Travers! It's all his fault! It's none of my business! I was just dragged here by him!"
Anduin took a deep breath, feeling a little depressed. Why were these pure-blood families so difficult to communicate with? Could it be that inbreeding had caused their brains to become stupid?
"Shut up! I told you to shut up! I don't want to say it again." Anduin's cold gaze made Rosier's hair stand on end. He swallowed and finally stopped talking nonsense, instead coughing frantically, probably because his voice was hoarse from shouting and his chest was being stepped on.
Seeing this, Anduin lifted his foot from his chest, squatted beside Rosier, and said, "Are you scared?"
Rosier gasped for breath and replied hoarsely, "Scared, scared!"
Anduin asked again, "Will you dare to provoke me again in the future?"
How dare Rosier say yes? He hurriedly said, "No, I won't dare. I will stay far away from you in the future. I will also warn Travers not to provoke you."
"Hehe, there's no need for that. If he wants to come and cause me trouble, you can encourage him to come. Don't be polite with me," Anduin said with a smile.
Rosier thought Anduin was saying the opposite and hurriedly replied, "No, I won't dare. I will drag him away from you in the future."
Seeing that this guy was already frightened, Anduin reached out and pulled Rosier up. Rosier's legs went weak as he stood up and he was about to sit down again. Anduin helped him stand steady with a strong lift, then reached out to pat the dust off Rosier's body, and said with a smile, "I'm serious. You don't have to stop this guy from coming to cause me trouble in the future, but if you're willing, you can tell me in advance."
Hearing Anduin say this, Rosier knew what he meant. He was preparing to make him an informant, but if he didn't agree now, he didn't know what Anduin would do to him. Looking at Anduin's increasingly unkind eyes, he could only say, "This, okay, but if I get caught, I'm finished."
"Don't worry, if you listen obediently, I will protect you, Rosier. Have you heard of 'protection money'?" Anduin looked at Rosier with a smile, as if he had seen a beautiful woman.
Hearing this unfamiliar word, Rosier was confused and could only ask nervously, "Protection money? What does it mean?"
Anduin explained with a smile, "It means you give me 10 gold Galleons every month, and I'm responsible for protecting your safety!"
Rosier shuddered all over when he heard this. Wasn't this extortion? And he called it protection money? Was there any justice left? But seeing that Anduin was smiling at him now, but the hand holding him was pinching him tightly, he could only ask nervously, "But what if I don't have that much money? What if I can't pay?"
