Mastering Lightning from Hogwarts
#321 - The chatterbox girl (asking for monthly ticket recommendation)
“Hey, you should have said so earlier.” After seeing the money pouch in Anduin's hand, Vivian's eyes instantly turned into the shape of '$$'.
“Boss, just tell me what you need. From the day I met you, I knew Anduin Wilson was a righteous and conscientious outstanding young man. He would never forget his good brothers when there are benefits.” Vivian's face changed faster than flipping a book. She was just complaining a moment ago, but now she has transformed into a bootlicker.
“Alright, alright, just say a few words less.” Anduin sighed helplessly. If he didn't have a choice, he wouldn't want to find this gossip girl. Wherever she is, it instantly turns into a marketplace.
“So, what kind of work do you have that you need me to do? You didn't explain it clearly in the letter. With your strength, you definitely don't want me to fight, right?” Vivian chuckled, then began to examine the surrounding environment.
“Wow, you said you got a house in Diagon Alley, is this it?”
“You didn't even think to invite me over to visit for so long, you have no conscience.”
“Whoa, your place is opposite Gringotts? This environment is not bad. Is it very convenient to shop in Diagon Alley?”
“By the way, can I stay at your place for a few days? I haven't seen the night view of Diagon Alley yet.”
Vivian completely ignored Anduin's advice and began to explore his house on her own, touching this and looking at that, even sticking her head out the window to admire the scenery of Diagon Alley.
To be honest, Anduin was already regretting it. Having a Hogg at home was annoying enough, and now there's another chatterbox.
“Enough, I have serious business to discuss with you. If you can help, we can talk about whatever you want to do later.” Anduin quickly stopped Vivian from touching everything. Her hand was holding a chicken leg earlier, and it was greasy, smearing his curtains.
“So, just tell me what you want me to do. But I'm telling you, I won't do any manual labor. As a lady, I won't do anything that would be unbefitting.” Vivian said with a sense of self-importance.
Your so-called lady, is that when you swing a bat and knock someone down during Quidditch? Anduin rolled his eyes and couldn't help but mutter in his heart.
“Don't worry, this matter is very simple for you. You just need to help brainstorm ideas, it's about business.”
Anduin briefly told Vivian about the difficulties he was currently facing. She came from a large family, and she was also a half-blood witch. Plus, she usually liked to gossip and have fun, so she had more insightful ideas about both pure-blood and half-blood wizards.
“So, you opened a company during the summer vacation? Good, you actually opened a shop secretly while we weren't paying attention.” Vivian's thought process was quite peculiar. Compared to helping, she was clearly more surprised that Anduin had opened a shop.
“I mentioned this to you a long time ago, but you were always absent-minded and didn't pay attention. Who told you to be late and leave early every time during training? And I'm asking you for help, not to complain.” Anduin glared at Vivian.
“Is that so?” Vivian looked at Anduin blankly. She vaguely remembered Anduin saying something to her, but she had completely forgotten about it after the summer vacation started.
“Okay, so you mean, let me give you advice on your products and see if there's room for improvement?”
“Only in terms of appearance. The product's functions are already complete. You've seen the things I sell, they're the alchemy tools I asked you to test.” Anduin breathed a sigh of relief, finally getting to the point.
“Okay.” Vivian recalled slightly, then nodded, “Then take me to see the finished products first. Let me tell you in advance, I won't refund the money if you're not satisfied with my ideas.”
Anduin nodded helplessly, then took Vivian to the shop on the first floor. Due to the dismal business yesterday, he specially closed the shop today, preparing to reopen after making adjustments.
As soon as Vivian entered the shop, she looked around with curiosity, not like she was there to help at all, just like an ordinary girl shopping.
“Wow, this raven magic lamp is really interesting. Aren't your products quite interesting? They look very desirable.” Vivian's attention was immediately attracted by the small props on the counter, and then she looked at Anduin with a puzzled expression, aren't your products pretty good?
“Uh, that's just a lamp I made before to help with lighting, not a product.” Anduin said awkwardly.
I'll develop the magic lamp into a product later. Even Vivian can see that the magic lamp has more market potential. Why didn't I have any reaction before? Am I really not suitable for doing business? Anduin was starting to doubt himself.
“Instead of selling those dangerous violent weapons, you might as well sell this, I'm sure a lot of people will like it.” Vivian stabbed Anduin again without any tact.
“I know, stop staring at the lamp and help me look at something else.” Anduin changed the subject.
“Okay.” Vivian pouted boringly, then looked around, “Your decoration is very unique, are you sure you really have no sense of aesthetics? By the way, how did you get the magic patterns on the shop walls and seats, they're so beautiful.”
“Why don't you just sell furniture? Someone would definitely buy your chairs for 3-5 Galleons!” Vivian stroked a small table with her small hand, her eyes shining brightly.
“No, these furniture will lose their effectiveness after being moved out of this house. The reason they have magic patterns is because the entire house is connected to magic. After losing the magic supply, the patterns on them will naturally fade.” Anduin shook his head.
These furniture constantly showing their aura comes at the cost of constantly consuming magic power. They themselves are only made of ordinary wood. Even if they are engraved with runes, they won't last long, and adding magical materials as accessories will increase the cost.
“I see.” Vivian pouted helplessly, then finally turned her attention to the products.
“You only sell so little?” Vivian looked at the heavily homogenized shelves around her, her eyes widening in disbelief.
“I remember you developed quite a few alchemy tools, what about your tactical vest, the magic-suppressing handcuffs, why aren't they displayed?” Vivian asked strangely.
“Those products are more dangerous and can only be purchased by professionals, they cannot be sold to ordinary wizards.” Anduin explained to Vivian.
