Mastering Lightning from Hogwarts
#258 - College Meeting (II) (Seeking monthly ticket recommendation)
The question Anduin posed left the crowd below looking at each other, their eyes once again filled with confusion. What did your appointment as Head Boy have to do with them? Moreover, you're a war hero, so being appointed as Head Boy is perfectly justified. As for why you locked us up here for this ridiculous meeting, who knows what you're thinking. →
"Because..." Anduin's gaze towards the crowd grew colder. "Because you are all a bunch of good-for-nothings!"
Whoa!
The crowd erupted in an uproar, buzzing with conversation. They thought Anduin would give some profound speech, but who knew he'd start by blasting everyone? Even Head Boys like Louis were stunned by his words, completely unable to figure out what he was trying to do.
"Silence!" The chilling words, laced with the Fear Charm, emanated from Anduin's mouth. Stunned by his intimidation, everyone present snapped their mouths shut.
"Did I speak incorrectly when I called you all good-for-nothings? Take a good look at yourselves. What makes you worthy of Slytherin? You're all like walking corpses."
"Heh, if it weren't for you lot, never failing to disappoint, how could Headmaster Snape waste my precious time on you?" Anduin sneered, mercilessly mocking them.
"You, how can you say that? How are we unworthy of Slytherin?" A rather flamboyant pure-blood wizard said indignantly.
"Oh? You're fourth-year Joey Hickman, right?" Anduin raised the hand holding the clipboard and glanced at it. "Looks like you're not convinced? Then tell me, what have you done for Slytherin, and what have you accomplished for yourself?"
Anduin shifted his gaze to Joey, speaking without pause, "You received three detentions last year alone for fighting with Gryffindors, causing the house to lose 55 points. And you failed four subjects on your end-of-year exams."
"At your current rate, I suspect you won't pass a single exam next year. To be honest, I should apologize to you. You're not just a good-for-nothing; you're worse than a good-for-nothing!"
Joey Hickman, singled out by Anduin, turned red with anger but couldn't find any excuse or reason to refute him.
"Joey is indeed unworthy of Slytherin. These pure-blood wizards tried to suppress the other half-blood wizards the year before last; they're already useless. But you can target them, these pure-blood wizards; why say that about us? We haven't lost any points for the house." A wizard next to him glanced coldly at Joey, then retorted somewhat impolitely to Anduin.
"Fifth-year Jim Ferry." Anduin glanced at the clipboard again, smiling at Jim. "I can see you don't have much love for these pure-blood wizards."
"Besides causing trouble every day, what else are they good for? Don't forget how they treated us the year before last. Anduin, you're a Muggle-born wizard; don't you hate them? I say, now is the time to settle accounts with them." Jim Ferry glared at Joey again, still saying it with some indignation.
As soon as Jim's words came out, the faces of the surrounding pure-blood wizards changed drastically. This Jim had indeed been bullied by them a few years ago. Could it be that they were really going to be targeted now?
In comparison, Anduin seemed to have a better relationship with those half-blood wizards. Thinking of this, many pure-blood wizards' legs began to tremble because they knew Anduin's methods, so they felt even more desperate.
"Settle accounts with them? Wouldn't that just become another 'Pure-Blood Committee'?" Anduin shook his head with a cold laugh. "Besides, even though you haven't lost any points for the house, it still doesn't change the fact that you're a good-for-nothing."
"What do you mean?" Jim felt something was wrong with Anduin's words and looked at him with some annoyance.
"Jim Ferry, you didn't lose any points for violating school rules last year, and your grades were also pretty good, with your Potions grade being among the best." Anduin nodded, looking at the data on the clipboard, and Jim raised his head somewhat proudly.
"However..." Anduin raised his head and coldly swept his gaze over the other party, "Although you haven't lost any points for the house, you haven't thought about adding any points for the house either. The only time you added points was when Headmaster Snape favored you and added them for you."
"If it were just that, then you'd only be considered lacking a sense of collective honor, but in addition to not valuing honor, you even thought about secretly plotting against students in your own house!"
"At the Easter banquet, you secretly put castor oil laxative in the drink of sixth-year pure-blood wizard Leo Malcolm because he broke a music box when he checked the dorms in third year."
"And another time, several Slytherin students encountered a prank by Gryffindor students, and just as they were about to retaliate, you secretly reported them to Filch, which ultimately led to two Slytherin students being caught."
"The reason was that one of the pure-blood wizard students, in order to protect another half-blood wizard student from being hit by a dung bomb thrown by a Gryffindor, pulled the other to a dead end in the corridor, only to be caught by Filch, resulting in both being punished with detention. The pure-blood wizard who protected the student from the same house was indeed Joey Hickman, the one you look down on."
"You, how did you know?" Hearing Anduin reveal his secrets so directly, Jim's voice trembled with surprise, his face turning pale instantly.
"What? It was you? No wonder I had diarrhea for so long after Easter. I thought there was something wrong with the school's food."
"I knew Filch came so conveniently. So that's how we were caught. You're crazy. Why target your own people?"
Leo and Joey, hearing that the person who had harmed them was actually from their own house, immediately turned red with anger and glared at Jim.
Jim also lowered his head indifferently, no longer as confident as before.
"Do you want me to continue?" Anduin's gaze swept past Jim, coldly surveying the circle. "If you want me to continue, it will only make you seem more like a good-for-nothing."
"Arrogant, mean, stupid, indifferent, lazy, vain, mutually hateful, selfish, devoid of any sense of honor. That's what I see in you. Maybe you think you can prove you're worthy of Slytherin with these things. Hmph!" Anduin spared no effort in mocking everyone.
This time, under his ridicule, the little snakes present lowered their heads in silence because they knew that what Anduin said was true. Although his words were heavy and excessive, they were unable to refute him.
