Mastering Lightning from Hogwarts
#197 - Electric numbness
As soon as he finished speaking, Anduin's eyes sharpened. He looked at the 10 people opposite him, his mind racing as he quickly analyzed the battlefield situation.
"Ten people, standing in two rows of five, front and back. I saw that some of them were dragged here by Avery, so their fighting will is definitely uneven. If I want a quick victory, I can't give them time to react. I need to seize the initiative before their formation can effectively spread out."
Having made his judgment, Anduin's entire body surged with magical power. Then, dozens of ravens rapidly emerged from beneath his long robe, whirling around him. It was his improved 'Flock of Birds' spell, the Raven Art.
This large group of ravens surrounded Anduin's figure, obscuring everyone's vision, only allowing them to vaguely see what he was preparing in the middle.
Avery sneered at the sight. "You want to use this childish spell to duel? How ridiculous."
"Come on, Avery, just finish the fight. It's embarrassing enough to bully a child. We agreed, I'm just here to make up the numbers. You guys handle the fighting," a wizard in the back row urged.
"Indeed, I'm too ashamed to gang up on an underage wizard," another wizard echoed.
In fact, among the wizards who stood up with Avery, three or four were simply there to make up the numbers. They never thought they would lose, but they came out of friendship and were now just drawing their wands to make a gesture.
Avery knew he couldn't count on them, but he wasn't worried. With just the few in the front row, a few spells would be enough to teach this little bastard a lesson.
"Petrificus Totalus!" "Stupefy!" "Expelliarmus!" "Immobulus!" "Diffindo!"
The people in the front row didn't waste any time, quickly launching an attack. It was clear that they weren't holding back at all. Each spell was fast and urgent, not caring if they seriously injured their opponent.
But as soon as these spells appeared, the ravens surrounding Anduin reacted quickly. Two to three ravens directly crashed into each spell, instantly perishing with them.
And Anduin's spell, which he had been charging, was now ready.
"Aguamenti!"
Just as Avery and the others were about to attack again after their spells failed, they saw a huge column of water erupt and shoot out from Anduin's position, surging towards them.
"Use Impervius, Protego, and Impedimenta!" Avery reacted quickly.
Avery had previously dealt with Yaxley and knew that this kid had a combination attack of the Water-Making Spell and Freezing Spell, so he responded quickly.
Although he kept mocking him, he was actually prepared. Whether Anduin used Misty Cloud, a Disillusionment Charm, or some kind of sonic alchemical item, he had strategies to deal with them.
So Avery made a decisive decision and quickly cast 'Impervius' on everyone. Lucius immediately stepped to the front, raising a Shield Charm in front of him, while the others cast 'Impedimenta' to block the impact of the water.
"You're well-prepared. Did you analyze my past battle records? But unfortunately, you're going to miscalculate. I don't plan to use my old tactics and alchemical items this time. Today, I will crush you in full view of everyone," Anduin said with a stern smile, then quickly flicked his wand.
The rushing water hit the barrier formed by the 'Impedimenta', like a huge wave surging onto a dam, ready to roll back, but under Anduin's constant control, the water that was supposed to flow back continued to flow, defying the laws of physics.
Some of the rolling water extended directly along the barrier wall, over the barrier, and some bypassed it from both sides, still spreading straight towards the crowd. Several people had already been washed over by the surging water.
Although they were protected by the Impervius Charm, these water currents were like things that had been subjected to the Transfiguration Charm, like tentacles climbing on them, then sticking tightly to them.
"Scatter!" Avery shouted loudly. He didn't understand what these harmless water currents were for, but he knew he couldn't let the other party's plan succeed.
Then Avery quickly cast a 'Body-Bound' spell on himself, wrapping his whole body, preventing these strange water currents from spreading to him.
At this time, the water currents had already stuck to the other people in the front row. The people in the back quickly scattered and retreated to avoid the water after hearing Avery's warning. Four wizards avoided it because they were already relatively far back, but one person was still entangled by the water.
Then Avery heard a 'crackling' sound, and the people next to him seemed to be having cramps, with electric sparks flashing on their bodies. Lucius was even worse, actually lying straight on the ground. It turned out that an electric current had paralyzed them along the water flow.
This was the work of Anduin's lightning magic. Although he hadn't immediately studied the ancient lightning rune recently, he had seriously studied the basic lightning runes to prepare for research in advance. He did have a high affinity for this series of runes, and his progress was rapid.
"As expected, the voltage of ordinary lightning runes is still a bit low, only a slight paralyzing effect," Anduin shook his head with some dissatisfaction, but his next movements were still quick.
"Stupefy!"
Several spells instantly blasted the paralyzed wizards away, including Lucius, who was lying on the ground due to paralysis.
Seeing Anduin instantly defeat several people with just a few spells, the surrounding wizards and reporters exclaimed in surprise.
"My God, what on earth happened? Aren't those wizards protected by the Impervius Charm? Why can the water still cling to them? And how did they suddenly seem to be frozen, and were knocked down with almost no resistance?" A reporter exclaimed in confusion.
"The 'Aguamenti' spell was transfigured, so it could entangle people who were under the 'Impervius' spell, and then use the electrical conductivity of water to use lightning magic to paralyze them. Spells can be used like this, as expected of Anduin."
A voice suddenly came from beside the reporter's feet. He looked down and saw a short figure, but it didn't look like a goblin. After carefully identifying it, he recognized it as Professor Flitwick from Hogwarts School.
Professor Flitwick, who was watching, had just arrived at the scene and didn't expect to see such a wonderful duel. His eyes were shining as he looked at the arena.
At this time, Avery had just realized what had happened.
