Mastering Lightning from Hogwarts
#135 - Killing Curse
“Spread out, don’t get caught in his area-of-effect spells.” Yaxley finally realized that clustering together only made it easier for Anduin's magic to hit them, and their attack spells were all coming from the front, reducing the pressure on the opponent's defense.
Upon hearing the order, the others immediately moved to the sides, occasionally firing off a few spells to harass him, but the flock of birds around Anduin was like an extension of his will. Whenever a spell came close, a bird would immediately fly up and sacrifice itself.
“Misty Vapors.” Seeing the others dare to scatter, Anduin resorted to his old trick.
“Damn it, quickly regroup, don't let him pick us off one by one, 'Gusting Gale'.” Yaxley was gnashing his teeth in hatred. As soon as they scattered, this guy pulled out this move, and they were helpless against it. Anduin was too strange; he was unaffected in the thick fog, while they couldn't see him, yet he could see them. He had no choice but to use the Hurricane Charm to blow away the fog and order everyone to regroup again.
After spending five or six seconds, Yaxley finally dispersed the fog, but one of his men was missing. Once everyone's vision cleared, they discovered that the 7th-year wizard had fallen to the ground only a few meters away from him. The remaining three stood there, their faces pale, feeling like their minds were about to explode.
“Ah…” Travers, tormented by Anduin, couldn't take it anymore and hysterically screamed while continuously firing spells at Anduin.
Fueled by fear and anger, Travers's spells had noticeably increased in power.
But unfortunately, his mind was in chaos. Having lost his composure, his aim was unreliable, and the intent and trajectory of his spells were too obvious. Anduin didn't even need to use the birds; he simply dodged all the attacks with a few movements.
Subsequently, Anduin cast a Stupefy spell that struck Travers, who was standing too far forward, sending him flying. Now, only two people were standing in front of Anduin: a 5th-year wizard and Yaxley.
The two were heavily panting, looking at the composed Anduin in front of them. Despite still having a numerical advantage, a sense of despair welled up in their hearts.
“Come on, round three, please.” Anduin lightly gestured with his hand, expressionlessly watching the two.
The two across from him exchanged glances, both seeing fear and panic on the other's frozen faces. At this moment, Yaxley could no longer maintain his initial composure and calmness.
Yaxley gritted his teeth and shouted at Anduin, “Anduin, you forced me to do this! Ah, Avada Kedavra!”
Yaxley, gradually descending into madness, no longer cared about the consequences of casting the Killing Curse on a young wizard. As if to encourage himself, he roared before releasing the deadly curse.
Heh, I thought you wouldn't take the bait. I didn't expect you to be so foolish.
As if prepared for the Killing Curse, the flock of birds around Anduin instantly gathered into a ball and collided with the incoming green light. Simultaneously, he reacted quickly, taking a step to the side to dodge the curse's trajectory.
At the same time, Anduin launched two Protego Horribilis spells at an extremely fast speed, sending the remaining two flying. The Killing Curse only extinguished a few of the birds it hit before losing its power. Of course, even if the curse could penetrate the barriers, it wouldn't have harmed Anduin, who had already dodged to the side.
The 5th-year wizard was sent flying high by the enormous force, his body covered in pain. However, his mind was still reeling from the scene of Yaxley casting the Killing Curse. How dare he openly use an Unforgivable Curse? This was simply courting death! But before he could figure it out, he lost consciousness.
Seeing that all the ambushing wizards had been taken down, plus Millie disguised as Vivian, a total of eighteen enemies were unconscious. Oh no, it should be seventeen.
“Accio Wands!” A dozen wands soared into the air, landing in Anduin's hand. The scene from Christmas two years ago was still vivid in his mind. Disarming them immediately after a battle was a lesson he had learned.
After collecting the wands, Anduin walked to a fallen figure, kicked him hard, and said, “Get up, stop playing dead.”
Rosier, who had been playing dead since the fog appeared, cried out 'Ouch' and quickly got up from the ground. “You didn't have to kick me.”
Although Rosier had been lying on the ground pretending to be dead, he had been paying attention to everything that had happened around him. Anduin had taken down the dozen or so attackers in an almost overwhelming manner, which made him both fearful and shocked. Luckily, he hadn't chosen to betray Anduin, or he would have suffered the consequences. He couldn't understand Anduin's current strength at all, and Yaxley dared to openly use the Unforgivable Curse, which no one had expected.
Standing up, Rosier looked at the people lying all over the ground, swallowed hard, and said, “What's wrong? You've already taken care of them all, aren't you leaving?”
From his understanding of Anduin, he would quickly clean up the battlefield and then retreat after each battle.
Anduin pulled out two potions from his pouch and threw them to Rosier, sneering, “It's not over yet, what's the rush? Drag these guys into that abandoned shack and feed them some of the potions I gave you.”
Rosier took the potion bottles with a bitter face. He had no idea what Anduin was planning, but in this situation, he didn't dare to disobey his orders and had to do as he was told.
After speaking to Rosier, Anduin took out a communication coin and slowly entered magic three times. This was what Anduin had agreed upon with Viren and Vivian beforehand. One signal meant nothing had happened, two meant there was an accident, and three meant everything was going smoothly and was also a signal for them to retreat.
After doing all this, he used the Levitation Charm to transport the young wizards into the shack one by one with Rosier.
Wilkes felt like he had a short but long nightmare. He dreamed that he was ambushing Anduin, who dared to despise pure-blood families, with Yaxley and the others, but as soon as the battle started, he was beaten into a pig's head by his own people's spells. Was this a dream or reality?
Wilkes felt his consciousness gradually returning, and then the pain all over his body began to flood his brain. It hurt so much, his head was so dizzy, who was he, where was he?
