There were many people at the airport, and it was rather loud with conversations.

Cheng Wenru already changed her SIM card before she boarded the plane. She was now giving Old Master Cheng a call.

“You’ve reached?” Old Master Cheng picked up the call very quickly.

He was standing in the long hallway, playing with his parrot.

“I just got off the plane.” Cheng Wenru walked slowly and kept her eyes in the front, where Cheng Shui was speaking to Qin Ran.

Old Master Cheng nodded. “Did you see your brother?”

“He didn’t come.” Cheng Wenru found it strange. She scanned the surroundings but did not see Cheng Juan. She lowered her voice and said, “Dad, I want to tell you about the order yesterday.”

Cheng Wenru continued watching Qin Ran.

Old Master Cheng suddenly put the bird feed aside and turned to face the hallway.

Cheng Wenru continued talking, “Ran Ran was behind all of it last night. Although she didn’t say it, I’m pretty sure it has something to do with her.”

Cheng Wenru couldn’t guess how exactly she had a hand in it.

The orders were picked solely based on the interests of the older members in 129. Cheng Wenru heard that this person with the code name Morning Bird could reject an order worth 10 million yuan and accept one that was only worth 10,000 yuan instead.

Old Master Cheng was in deep thought.

“Old Master Cheng.” Butler Cheng furrowed his brows. “Third Young Master and the rest…”

Cheng Wenru spoke very softly, so Butler Cheng couldn’t hear her. He sounded a little anxious.

“Ran Ran and Wenru have gone to Continent M together.” Old Master Cheng turned around. He then said a little incredulously, “Wenru says that… the Giant Crocodile case might have something to do with Ran Ran…”

Although this was just her speculation, the fact that Cheng Wenru would share it with him meant that she was pretty sure.

Continent M, on the tarmac.

After talking Qin Ran through the general matters, he turned towards Cheng Wenru and greeted, “Eldest Lady.”

Cheng Wenru looked at him, seemingly a little shocked.

She hadn’t really seen Cheng Shui much before. Besides bumping into him a few years ago at their old hometown, she didn’t remember meeting him again. “Cheng Shui, you’ve always been in Continent M?”

A row of people was finding their way out of the tarmac.

A black car was parked nearby.

Cheng Wenru knew that Cheng Shui was under Cheng Juan, but that Cheng Shui had never really cared about the Cheng family matters. It had been so many years, and Cheng Wenru never actually knew where he had been.

She saw how familiar Cheng Shui was with this place as he led the way.

Cheng Wenru guessed that he had been in Continent M for quite a while by now.

“Mm, I’ve stayed here for a while.” Cheng Shui was always gentle and calm as he spoke.

Continent M was a messy place, and those who dared to walk about alone were usually not to be trifled with. The people around them—whether they were in a group or walking alone—were avoiding Cheng Shui and the people with him.

Cheng Mu appeared rather calm. And Cheng Wenru, having spent a long time in Beijing, didn’t notice anything at this point.

They walked to the car, and Cheng Wenru saw a small black flag hanging on the left-side mirror.

Cheng Shui started the car with Cheng Mu in the front passenger seat.

Qin Ran and Cheng Wenru took the back seats.

Cheng Wenru was looking out the car window.

The landing area here wasn’t quite like the one in Beijing. Cheng Wenru could see tall ancient-style buildings in the distance from here. Before arriving, she’d also checked out some information on Continent M and guessed that those were probably the auction and black market areas.

Beijing had those too.

But it was a lot more low-profile there. Cheng Wenru would go to the auctions every month, though.

In the corner of her eye, she saw Qin Ran open her haversack and take out some documents.

Cheng Wenru turned around and saw the first line of confusing words “The refraction of ray Y under…” She didn’t bother looking any longer.

Cheng Shui didn’t take the longer route this time. He parked the car in front of a villa.

Cheng Mu unbuckled his seatbelt and looked out. “This is it?”

He wasn’t familiar with the place.

He was still waiting to see Cheng Wenru get a shock.

Cheng Wenru and Qin Ran got out of the car.

Qin Ran wrapped her scarf around her neck, looked at a skyscraper a few streets away, and said, “That’s the International Police Headquarters.”

Cheng Mu nodded. “Oh.”

Cheng Shui, who was just about to explain it, turned to look at her in some shock. “You’re right. Boss will be spending all his time here for this trip back in Continent M.”

The stronger powers in Continent M all stayed in their own lane.

This was Matthew’s territory of control, so Cheng Shui and the rest wouldn’t usually be around here.

In the six months that Qin Ran had come previously, no one had taken her here too. They were spending all their time in the area under Cheng Shui’s control.

So, Cheng Mu had no idea where this place was.

But Qin Ran seemed rather familiar with the vicinity…

Qin Ran carried her bag and looked at Cheng Shui. “You think the Second Hall Master and the rest have been caught by them?”

“That’s right.” Cheng Shui pushed his previous thought aside as more important matters took over. He led them in while saying, “Based on what we found, it’s likely Matthew.”

“Matthew?” Qin Ran stopped in her tracks.

She looked at him.

Cheng Wenru had been scanning the surroundings. Upon hearing about the hall masters, she came closer and asked seriously, “Who’s this Matthew person?”

“An international police officer.” Cheng Shui explained to her, “The person in the highest power in that building you saw just now, also one of the greatest powers in Continent M…”

Cheng Wenru had no idea who Matthew was, but she’d looked up relevant stuff before.

She pretty much understood what Cheng Shui was saying.

“It’s them? Their place in Continent M is equivalent to the top four households in Beijing.” Cheng Wenru seemed even clearer about the picture now. “Why is the Second Hall Master being held by them?”

She had thought that the Second Hall Master and the rest had accidentally offended a small group of people. After all, the people with Second Hall Master weren’t exactly impressive or eye-catching in Continent M.

Who knew that it was instead Matthew, one of Continent M’s giant powers?
