Lord of Spells from Faerûn
Chapter 53 Necromancer
Late at night, in front of an old windmill.
Imrik stood in front of the door with the copper stove and Apollo. Imrik gently pushed open the dilapidated wooden door, and with a creak, the wooden door opened.
The house was dark, the walls were covered in graffiti and the stone floor was covered in trash and debris. The windows were empty shelves without glass.
The second floor is reached by following a curved stone staircase that extends 20 feet to the upper floor. The stairs were covered in bird droppings, broken tiles, dirt and mold.
Much of the roof on the top floor has collapsed over these roofs, leaving holes through which birds and rainwater can pass. The floors were littered with broken stones, bird droppings, damaged furniture and other detritus, and pigeons roosted in the moldy rafters.
The floor here is extremely fragile, and when Tong Luo's heavy body stepped on it, there was even a big hole in an old wooden board.
"Look! There's a locked door over there!" Apollo's eyes lit up. Sure enough, there was a door on the north side of the room not far away, and there was a brand new iron lock hanging on the door.
Tongluo walked up, took out an iron rod from his waist, and dropped the door lock with one push. Then he pushed the door open, and the three of them found two men in shabby clothes holding shovels inside, horrified. Look at them.
"Who are you!" one of the men said nervously.
The mage stepped forward, smiled and picked up a piece of paper with a portrait of Dexterous Wright on it: "Don't be nervous, tell me, have you seen it?"
The man rolled his eyes and said, "No, we haven't seen him before."
But what he didn't know was that Imrik had already started reading thoughts and heard his voice.
"You can't tell him that this damn thing has been taken away by Lord Loser. Damn it, you need to inform the Lord and kill these guys!"
Imrik put away his smile and raised a hand to point at the other person, trying to tell him to be honest.
Level 2 Psychic Power—Experience severe pain.
A ray of green light shot out from the mage's hand and shone on the man. An indescribable pain swept through his body. The man fell to the ground and screamed in pain, his whole body twisted, but this kind of mental pain made him no matter what. Nothing can be done to alleviate it in the slightest.
"Spare your life! Master Mage! What do you want to know! I'll tell you everything!" the man wailed in pain.
Imric stopped casting spells and asked again: "Give you another chance, tell me, where is it?"
The man lay weakly on the ground. Although there was no loss on his body, the severe pain made him feel exhausted after a disaster: "I was taken away by Lord Lotor."
Imric continued to ask: "Who is Lothar and where is he?"
The man took a few deep breaths and felt a little better: "Loser is also a master mage. Like you, he has been living underground and sent us to collect raw materials for him."
"Raw materials?" Apollo asked curiously.
"It's just the corpses. Master Lowther has been asking us to go to the Dead City to steal the corpses and bring them back. He will make these corpses into skeletons." At this point, the man swallowed, obviously, he was afraid of this.
"A necromancer." Imrik was wary. The undead creatures created by necromancers can exist for a long time and can coexist. Although they cannot control too much due to their professional level, it is said that some spells can Use clever ways to control many undead creatures.
For such a necromancer who has been stealing corpses to make undead, it can be said that the combat effectiveness depends on how many pets he has. However, this kind of human sea tactic is still not enough for the current Imrik.
"Does that clever Wright have a strange stone on him?" Imrik described the appearance of the Stone of Gorol to them.
The man thought for a while and said loudly: "I remember! Lord Lotor found this stone from it that day, and then took it away in one piece!"
The mage listened to his thoughts and found that they were exactly the same. He couldn't help but nodded with satisfaction. He gently raised his hand, and the man was lifted to his feet by invisible force.
"Take me to Loser. These gold coins are yours," the mage said with a smile and took out 10 gold coins.
The two men hesitated for a moment. After all, their fear of Lotor could not overcome the anger of the mysterious mage in front of them and the temptation of gold coins, so they nodded in agreement.
Several people came to the first floor. The man pointed to a wooden board that was the same as other worn-out floors and said: "This is right here. Open it and go down. After going down, keep walking along the passage and you can find him."
The copper stove stepped forward, shouted angrily, and then hammered the entire floor to pieces. The fine pieces of rotten wood fell down the sudden pit, making a crisp sound.
"Dark Vision." The mage recited a spell, blessed the three of them with spells, and then jumped down. Fortunately, according to the sound of the template, the underground was not far from the ground, about two or three meters.
As he walked, the mage discovered that the cellar seemed to be connected to the sewer. The sewage slowly appeared under his feet and flowed along the groove parallel to the stone walkway. It became more and more, and it was three feet deep.
A stench hit his nostrils, and this familiar smell made Apollo feel sick again. He covered his nose and said with a look of disgust: "Why is it the sewer again? Oh my God, Imrik, we can't go to a place with a more romantic environment." Risky?"
The mage smiled and comforted: "Be patient, this is all for your dreams. How can an adventurer not endure hardship?"
The three of them walked in the sewer for who knows how far, and finally reached an empty place. This wide empty place had stone pillars and arched structures supporting the ceiling. Mismatched stone carvings on either side of a half-ruined wall indicate that this area was once two separate rooms.
There is a complete wooden door on the intact side, and the strong aura of the dead is coming from inside.
Imrik pointed the Ring of the Ram at the wooden door, and an invisible powerful force field shot out from the ring quickly, smashing the wooden door into pieces with a "Bang!"
Inside the house, a thin, pale, middle-aged mage wearing a black robe stared blankly at the door. He had a scalpel in his hand and a rotting corpse lying in front of him.
There were more than twenty undead skeletons in the room, and many corpses were piled up.
It seems like we haven’t had time to make many undead yet. Imrik thought to himself.
At this time, Loser also came to his senses. He looked at the strangers opposite angrily and shouted: "Who are you! How dare you break my door!"
"Your home?" Imrik looked around and was a little speechless. It was really a simple home.
"Kill them!" The Necromancer obviously didn't want to hear their explanation, and directly ordered all the undead skeletons in the room to swarm over and chop to death the rude people who broke into his home.
