The Necromancer of Hogwarts

Chapter 31 The Hound of Tindalos

Ring Ring Ring!

Xiang Yu was reading in Pei Qiping's office, when a rapid ringing of the phone interrupted Xiang Yu's thoughts.

He picked up the phone and asked, "Who is it?"

There was a sound of rapid breathing on the other side of the phone, and its owner seemed to be in extreme fear.

Xiang Yu could tell that it was Pei Qiping's voice.

"Professor Qi Ping, what happened over there?" Xiang Yu's face gradually became serious.

Pei Qiping opened his mouth and only uttered a short syllable: "Help..."

Then, the phone call was suddenly disconnected.

It wasn't hung up, it was like something cut off the phone line directly, and there was silence after a burst of noisy electricity.

Xiang Yu's hand paused, and his expression suddenly turned gloomy.

He Xiang Yu just wants to grow stronger in peace and quiet. Why do things always come up? Why do people always want to force him?

Xiang Yu held the staff.

Pei Qiping is one of the few scholars currently studying the field of artificial muscles. His life and death are related to the progress of Xiang Yu's strength growth.

No matter what happened to Pei Qiping, Xiang Yu could not allow anything to happen to him.

He wants to bring Pei Chipin back.

Xiang Yu rummaged through the drawers in Pei Qiping's office and found the business card left by Professor Adams.

He compared the map and found the approximate location of Professor Adams' residence.

"13 Blackwater Street, Cornwallton..."

……

At the same time, in a deserted house at No. 13 Blackwater Street.

Pei Qiping looked at a corner outside the house and screamed in fear.

There, a blue, strange pus-like substance was spreading out from the void, forming a strange mist.

In this blue mist, the pus quickly condensed into a head that was a mixture of bat and dog. A long and narrow straw extended from the head, shining with a sharp cold light.

"Monster! Monster!"

"Adams, what happened to you?!"

Pei Qiping looked at the monster in panic. He felt that every detail of the monster was extremely ugly and frighteningly deformed.

This doesn't even look like a naturally evolved species on earth, but rather like some kind of monster from ancient times, with deep malice surging in its body.

Behind Pei Qiping, a middle-aged man with a pale and slovenly face spat: "Pe Qiping, I asked you to leave a long time ago. I don't want to pass this curse on to others. Why are you still persisting?" Stay on Blackwater Street?!"

"Get out of the way! You son of a bitch! Didn't I hurt you last time?!"

With a rough wave of his hand, he pushed Pe Chipin away from the window, a rifle in his hand.

boom!

There was no need to even aim. The rifle in the middle-aged man's hand kept spitting out tongues of fire and roared one after another.

The modified bullets hit the monster's head one after another, causing it to erupt with disgusting blue pus, and pieces of meat continued to fall from its body.

But no matter how it was bombarded, the blood flowing out of the monster and the falling flesh fragments would return to it at an extremely fast speed, as if it possessed some degree of immortality.

Fortunately, the gunshots could at least bring pain to the monster. It glanced at Pei Qiping and the middle-aged man bitterly.

That malicious gaze made Pei Qiping feel like he was falling into an ice cave. His mind seemed to be exploding. He seemed to be struck by an evil existence, and there was a strong sense of nausea all over his body.

The middle-aged man spat, dropped the rifle with a hot muzzle, and grabbed a shotgun from the wall next to him.

With a more violent roar, the blue mist began to shrink, and the monster retreated.

The middle-aged man looked hatefully at the place where the fog disappeared, then turned his head and looked at Pei Qiping coldly.

"Pe Chipin, I warned you not to come near my residence."

"Now that you have witnessed the hounds, you will also be hunted. I will not allow you to leave this house for fear of spreading the hunt to more people."

This middle-aged man is Professor Adams whom Pei Ziping hopes to invite. However, Adams has long lost the academic demeanor he once had. Instead, he seems to be an extremely tense and mentally paranoid man.

"You just called outside for help, and I cut off the phone line."

"Pe Chipin, we all must die here, and no one can see our death process. Only in this way can this curse end."

Pei Qiping collapsed on the ground: "No, no...Adams, what on earth is this?"

"Am I having a nightmare?!"

Pei Qiping recalled the events of the past few days, recalled the scene he had just seen, and suspected that he had gone crazy.

A few days ago, Pei Qiping came to Professor Adams' residence.

He was surprised that Professor Adams had many patents and lived a very wealthy life, but the street he was on was so desolate. It could be seen that no one had taken care of it for a long time.

It can be seen that the nearby houses have not been lived in for a long time.

"Is this neighborhood no longer inhabited? Hell, although it is a desolate wilderness nearby, it is also a good vacation place. As for not even moving the houses?"

"Where's Professor Adams? Does he still live in No. 13?"

Pei Qiping hurriedly knocked on Professor Adams' door.

During this period he noticed an extremely strange phenomenon.

Professor Adams' house seems to have undergone additional repairs, which were extremely rough and distorted the appearance of the entire house.

P. Chipping saw not a single right or obtuse angle on the Adams house; the corners had been roughly broken up and rounded or sharpened with bricks.

"The strange decoration looks very awkward. Is it Professor Adams' personal hobby?"

Pei Qiping complained in his mind and kept ringing the doorbell outside the yard.

He pressed the button for a long time but no one came to open the door, as if there was no one here anymore.

Pei Qiping was unwilling to leave like this, and still planned to dig in and take a look.

Anyway, the area around here is deserted, there is a vast wilderness outside, and the nearest police station is dozens of miles away. There must be no one to take care of your behavior of climbing over the wall.

But when Pei Qiping rolled into the yard, a black gun protruded from the window. Professor Adams looked at him viciously from the window: "Who are you?!"

Then Professor Adams seemed to recognize Pei Qiping: "Qiping, what are you doing here? Get out of here quickly, I solemnly warn you, this is for your safety!"

Pei Qiping raised his hand and shouted loudly: "Professor Adams, I am here to invite you to join my research group! Artificial muscles, you are a well-deserved expert in this field!"

Professor Adams didn't say anything. He just clicked the safety button and said, "Leave now!"

Pei Qiping was startled and quickly left Professor Adams' residence.

In the next few days, Pei Qiping did not leave.

He didn't dare to enter the courtyard, so he had to shout outside the iron gate, hoping to make Professor Adams change his mind.

But Professor Adams never walked out of the room. At most, he warned Pei Qiping from the window to leave quickly.

Frankly speaking, Pei Qiping was indeed a little disheartened.

He felt that Professor Adams might have been stimulated by something and became such a paranoid person.

So on this day, he came with his suitcase to say goodbye to Professor Adams and left his contact information.

Professor Adams said nothing, just grabbed the gun and watched Pei Ziping out of sight, and then he breathed a sigh of relief.

But as soon as Pei Qiping left this neighborhood, he was still unwilling to give in. He turned around again and trotted towards No. 13 Blackwater Street.

He climbed into the yard with agility.

"No matter what, I must have a talk with Professor Adams in the drawing room."

"I don't believe that the knowledgeable Professor Adams will become a madman. He may just have some scruples that prevent him from joining."

Just after he turned into the yard, Pei Qiping smelled the horrible smell coming from the street outside.

He couldn't describe what the smell was. He only felt nauseated, and along with the fear that surged from his body's instincts, he couldn't help but scream in fear.

Only then did Professor Adams discover that Pei Qiping had left and returned.

He opened the door like crazy, opened a small crack, and pulled Pe Qiping into the room.

Pei Qiping was attacked by a feeling of fear. He was almost stunned. He rushed to the living room desperately, picked up the phone and wanted to call for help. Then the phone line was cut directly by Adams.

After this happened what has been described before, a strange cloud of smoke appeared at a certain corner of the street, and a monster formed out of it.

After fighting off the monster, Pe Chipping asked Professor Adams in extreme fear.

"Adams, what is that, what on earth is that?!"

"What happened to me?!"

Professor Adams' expression was complicated.

"That's a hound. Once hunted by it, it will be until death."

He grabbed the statue hanging around his neck, with a look of hatred in his eyes.

"It was this statue from the Tomb of Tindalos that introduced me to the Hound, so I called the monster the Hound of Tindalos."

"As for the specific matter, Pei Qiping, since you are also involved, I will explain it clearly to you."

"Do you believe that in the ancient times of the earth, some races came to the earth across the infinite universe and have been lurking in the mountains and oceans and even in various hidden places?"

"They have been watching humans and waiting for the time to see the light of day again."
