Summoner from a certain American comic
Chapter 118 A simple funeral
The familiar colorful light flashed, and less than 12 hours after Adam left Asgard, he appeared on the Rainbow Bridge again.
"It's done so quickly." Heimdall held the giant sword and looked at Adam. "Where's Balder?"
"Nothing happened after I left, right?" Adam observed Heimdall's expression carefully.
"Did something happen?" Heimdall's heart tightened. For some reason, an ominous premonition rose in his heart.
Heimdall used his special abilities to cover the entire Asgard, but found nothing unusual.
"If I guess correctly, we are going to hold a funeral." Adam patted Heimdall on the shoulder and walked towards the palace.
Adam's pace was neither hasty nor slow, thinking about the reasons in his mind as he walked.
Although Odin is no longer in his prime and his strength has declined, there is still no one who can kill him silently.
When you reach the level of Odin, you are basically immune to all poisons, and some mysterious curses in the universe cannot have an effect on it.
Adam really couldn't figure out how Odin died. Could it be that as Balder said, Odin had run out of gas?
It's not impossible.
Marvel has countless universes, and there are countless single universes with Odin. Perhaps Odin in this universe is so fragile.
Adam thought about it carefully, and it made sense. After all, Thor, the God of Thunder, was dead.
Maybe Odin really has run out of gas. He didn't even take action when Thor died. Maybe he really has no power left.
No matter how slowly Adam walked, the journey from the Rainbow Bridge to the Royal Palace was still over.
Adam walked into the palace quickly, ignoring the salutes of the guards, and walked directly through the palace to the bedroom behind the palace.
"You're here again, young man." Frigga looked calm, as if she wasn't surprised.
Adam ignored Frigga, walked directly past her, opened the door of the palace, and saw Odin lying on the bed.
Odin's face was pale, and it was obvious that he was no longer breathing.
"How long has he been dead?" Adam turned back and looked at Frigga.
"It could be a month ago, it could be two months ago." Frigga said calmly, "It could also be last night. I haven't opened this door for a long time."
"I don't believe that your relationship with him will ignore him. How long has he been dead?" Adam stared at Frigga. Although his face was expressionless, there was doubt in his eyes. "What good will it do you to hide the news of his death?"
"I just woke up a long time ago and he gave an order that no one is allowed to enter this room again." Tears flowed from Frigga's eyes and slid down her cheeks. "I'm just following the orders of the God King."
Adam took a deep breath, and after a moment of silence, he said to the guard standing guard: "Call Kress and Kai over, collect Odin's body and prepare for the funeral."
Odin's death is not a small matter, but it is not a big deal for Asgard now.
Chris organized the funeral. Only Adam and Frigga attended the funeral, and Heimdall was not even notified.
The former God King Odin received a simple funeral. From the time Adam saw his body to the time when his funeral was completed and buried in the earth, it took no more than three hours.
In the palace of Asgard, Adam sat on the throne, Chris and Kai knelt on one knee under the throne, and the surrounding guards all had expressionless faces, but there was a trace of fear in their eyes.
Adam's face was gloomy, and a slight amount of pressure emanated from his body. To Chris Kai and the other two, this pressure was nothing, but to the surrounding guards, it was like standing in the crater of a volcano that was about to erupt. On top, a feeling of fear arises involuntarily from deep inside.
This is a kind of life instinct, which is suppression on the level of life.
"Don't let the news of Odin's death spread for the time being, just treat him as if he is still sleeping."
The index finger of Adam's right hand kept tapping the armrest of the throne, and the clicking sound made people's hair stand on end in the quiet palace.
"Your Majesty, where is the Queen?" Chris lowered his head. "She insisted on keeping a wake for Odin and asked the people to come and pay homage to the god-king."
Chris's meaning was very clear. He didn't know how to deal with Frigga, the former Queen of Gods.
"How is my sword?" Adam did not answer Chris' question.
Chris said: "It has basically been transformed. I found that most of the craftsmanship of this sword belongs to the dwarf kingdom, and the secrets contained in it are somewhat similar to the secrets of Asgard."
"Get it done as soon as possible and send it to me. About Frigga." Adam paused, glanced at Kai next to Chris, and said, "I'll let Kai do it."
"As ordered."
After giving Kai an incomprehensible look, Chris turned and left the palace. He still had to complete the transformation of the sword for Adam.
"Your Majesty, Chris just gave me a look." Kai raised his head with a blank look on his face. "But I don't understand what it means."
"He might want to invite you to take a bath together when he has time, and maybe he will throw the soap on the floor." Adam rolled his eyes and said, "You go and keep an eye on Frigga. If she just does it honestly for Austria." Ding Shouling, please leave her alone and send her back to the palace after her wake is over."
Adam had already arranged a gorgeous room in the palace, which would be where Frigga would live for the rest of her life.
"Then what if she is dishonest?" Kai asked with a cute look on his face: "If she still wants to tell the world about Odin's death, should I stop her?"
"Kill her directly and bury her together properly." Adam rubbed his brows. "If it comes to this, kill everyone who knows."
"Oh." Kai nodded.
"How's the Eight Gate Dunjia?" Adam finally felt a little more relaxed.
After the dull Kai got the Eight Gate Dunjia, he became very loyal to Adam. The system even reminded Adam that he could sign a contract with Kai, but Adam was always busy and forgot about it.
"The fifth gate of the Eight Gate Dunjia is very easy, and the sixth gate is not a big problem." Kai showed an excited expression on his face. "That tube of medicine is really useful. Do you have any more?"
"That's a serum and can't be used frequently." Adam shook his head. "The effect is greatest only when you use it for the first time. If you use it again, it will have no effect."
"Then, Your Majesty, please find me some other serum. The potential contained in my body now is definitely not enough for me to open the Eight Gates." Kai requested matter-of-factly.
"Didn't Chris say there is unlimited potential?"
"He knows shit"
Adam smiled bitterly and took out a piece of magic parchment and threw it to Kai and said, "I will help you find a way. Take this back and write your name on it with your blood."
"Oh." Kai nodded, and then asked doubtfully: "Whose name is it?"
"It's yours, otherwise it's still mine."
