Harry Potter: Impossibly Cute

Chapter 38 Who to Comfort First

In Dumbledore's office, Ling Bai sat on the sofa, feeling a little at a loss.

This time he saw Fox, but Fox looked like he was dying.

Phoenix Nirvana, this was the first word that Ling Bai thought of.

Fox glanced at Ling Bai lazily.

"Oh boy, it's called Fox"

Ling Bai nodded, showing no intention of continuing to listen.

"Principal, why did you call me here?"

"Don't be nervous. I just saw that you seemed to be in a bad mood, so I wanted to talk to you. After all, it is our responsibility as teachers to guide students."

"It's nothing, Principal. I just had some minor conflicts with my friends."

"With Malfoy"

Ling Bai was stunned, and then he was a little flustered because he had guessed what had happened.

"How did you know that, Principal?"

The principal smiled.

"How else would I be the headmaster? Child, I have heard something about you. Are you happy living in Malfoy Manor?"

Ling Bai didn't say anything, and Dumbledore didn't rush to urge him.

"Child, have you ever wanted to live with your family? After all, family is always the best. Even if Malfoy treats you well, there is still a layer between you, isn't there?"

"Principal, do you know who my parents are or what they look like?"

There was anticipation in the boy's eyes, as if he was riding on the moonlight.

Dumbledore sighed.

"Sorry, kid, I can't answer your question. You need to find the answers to all things by yourself."

Ling Bai stopped talking, like a deflated balloon.

"Professor, I'm leaving now."

Dumbledore nodded and didn't keep Ling Bai any longer.

When Ling Bai returned to the dormitory, Draco came over.

"Ling Bai, I..."

"Malfoy, I'm a little tired, can I go and rest first?"

Draco's body froze in place. Ling Bai had never called him like that since they had known each other.

This time he was really angry.

Draco bit his lips, unwillingness spreading in his heart.

After washing up, Ling Bai went straight to bed without giving Draco a chance to speak. He turned off his light and went to sleep.

Draco stood there and looked at Ling Bai for who knows how long before he carefully returned to his bed.

The first class of the next day was Professor McGonagall's Transfiguration class. Halfway through the class, Hermione suddenly asked Professor McGonagall about the Chamber of Secrets.

Professor McGonagall thought about it, and seeing everyone's curious looks, she finally compromised and said something.

Draco looked at Ling Bai who was sitting next to him, and couldn't help but take out a small piece of paper and write on it.

"Ling Bai, I know you're still angry, but what I said that day was really unintentional. Please don't be angry, okay?"

A note suddenly appeared in front of him. Ling Bai just took a glance and then looked away.

As soon as the get out of class was over, Draco stopped Ling Bai.

"Ling Bai, can we have a chat?"

Perhaps it was because Draco's eyes were too pitiful, Ling Bai couldn't help but nodded.

Draco brought Ling Bai to a sparsely populated place.

"Ling Bai, what happened that day"

"Draco, I understand. I can understand your bloodline and family making you have this view, but what if one day I am the kind of mudblood you mentioned, will you still play with me?"

"How could that be, Ling Bai, you are not..."

"What if I were you, what would you do?"

"I......"

"Everyone knows that I am boarding at your house. I don't understand why I can't mention my father, but I still remember my father's advice. But now I have shaken Malfoy. I feel that everyone is asking me who I am. Now I don't even know who I am."

Malfoy opened his mouth to say something.

"Ling Bai, I just don't want you to play with Potter and the others. I think they are dangerous and you will get hurt if you stay with them."

Ling Bai was stunned for a moment, then narrowed his eyes slightly.

"Why do you say that Draco, what do you know?"

Draco looked away in panic.

"I, I can't say"

Ling Bai was silent and just looked at Draco. Draco could hear his heart pounding in his ears, as if it was about to jump out.

"Ling Bai, I really can't say"

"Okay, Draco, I won't force you, but please don't stop me from getting along with Harry and the others, and please don't say that to my friends again, otherwise, maybe I should really consider changing colleges."

Draco pursed his lips tightly, but nodded.

"Okay, I will be careful next time, but Ling Bai, no matter what happens, please take good care of yourself, okay?"

Ling Bai's stern face softened little by little and he nodded at Draco.

"Okay, I'll pay attention next time. I know you don't like Harry and the others."

"So, are you still mad at me?"

Ling Bai shook his head.

"Who can be angry with you like this?"

"Will you come to the Quidditch match in two days?"

"Of course, I heard Uncle Lucius will be here too."

Draco nodded.

"Well, Dad said he's looking forward to my victory, but if I win, will you bless me or go and comfort Potter?"

Ling Bai felt a bit of a headache; he finally had to face the topic that he had avoided last semester.

"Draco"

Ling Bai's eyes showed a little aggrieved. Seeing this, Draco no longer had the heart to embarrass Ling Bai.

"Forget it, no matter what, I will try my best"

Ling Bai smiled and nodded.

At the Quidditch match a few days later, Slytherin was very powerful and was far ahead of Gryffindor.

After the conversation between the two that day, Draco no longer made things difficult for Harry Potter, at least not in front of Ling Bai.

However, the confrontation on Quidditch still showed that the two still did not get along.

The end result was that Draco fell to the ground, and Harry broke his arm while trying to catch the Golden Snitch.

They both went into the infirmary.

Ling Bai was the first to find Draco, who was curled up in bed feeling very aggrieved.

"I didn't beat Ling Bai. My father must be very disappointed in me. I am also very embarrassed."

Ling Bai reached out and hugged Draco, and his eyes met with Harry who was lying on the bed not far away.

Ling Bai saw the disappointment in Harry's eyes, but Harry was surrounded by many friends, so Ling Bai thought about going later.

Draco only suffered some minor skin injuries but recovered quickly. Ling Bai waited until it was almost dark before coming to find Harry.

"I'm sorry Harry, I didn't come to you right away."

Ling Bai placed the gifts on the table.

"It's okay, Ling Bai. Draco is the loser. He needs comfort more."

Ling Bai's mouth twitched and he sighed helplessly in his heart.

My dear brother, your straightforward character is really hard to describe.

"I've already talked to Draco, and he said he won't embarrass you again."

Harry looked at Ling Bai, wondering what he was thinking.
