Ever since Sun Wukong took his nine fellow disciples to Chang'an, they had been making secret arrangements until Emperor Guangwu Liu Xiu started his army. In the Battle of Kunyang, the ten fellow disciples joined forces to resist the attack of the Heavenly Demon Sect. With the blessing of luck, the Heavenly Demon Sect was eventually destroyed along with Wang Mang's army by meteorites falling from the sky.

Next, Emperor Guangwu recovered the Han Dynasty and reorganized the Han Dynasty. This was the birth of the Eastern Han Dynasty, and the Qingshan Sect became a famous righteous sect.

As the Qingshan Sect grew stronger, it aroused the dissatisfaction of the current emperor and other organizations. A purge plan for the Qingshan Sect was quietly launched. All the members of the Qingshan Sect were beheaded. Only Sun Wukong and several of his fellow disciples escaped by wandering outside. The few of them went their separate ways and hid their identities, thus escaping the disaster.

Just like that, a hundred years passed quietly.

On a misty green mountain in Shu, the mountain was covered with mist, and the top of the mountain was hidden in the clouds. Under a big green tree, there were two people, both wearing green cloth clothes, sitting opposite each other. In front of them was a wooden table with an unfinished game of Go and a pot of tea.

I saw two people drinking tea and playing chess.

"You have been here for a hundred years, haven't you?"

The older of the two made a move, then stroked his beard and looked at the young man opposite him. The man seemed to be having a hard time with the move his opponent had just made.

"Yes, it's been a hundred years. Time flies by so fast."

This young man is exactly the Sun Wukong from a hundred years ago. When the Qingshan Sect was destroyed a hundred years ago, he had no intention of revenge. Needless to say, this was all Heaven's will. Taoism was about to rise, so how could it allow a sect that was beaten like this to survive? Even if he wanted to save it, he did not have the power to go against Heaven's will.

After Sun Wukong parted ways with several of his fellow disciples, he avoided the court's pursuit while looking for a place to settle down. Finally, he came to Shu. After entering Shu, Sun Wukong entered the Qingcheng Mountain, which would later become a famous Taoist mountain. Originally, he wanted to stay in seclusion in Qingcheng Mountain for a hundred years, but he knew that a hundred years later, Zhang Daoling, the founder of Taoism, would come to Shu to preach, so he used a trick to gain some luck.

Who would have thought that as soon as he entered Qingcheng Mountain, he would meet a person, Yin Changsheng, one of the legendary Eight Immortals of Shu. This was Yin Changsheng, who had already reached the realm of immortals, breaking through the mortal body and reaching the realm of human immortals. The next step would be to become a celestial immortal, and he would have the opportunity to be recruited by the Jade Emperor to serve in the Lingxiao Palace and be listed among the immortals.

Over the past hundred years, Sun Wukong has been practicing diligently in Qingcheng Mountain. In his spare time, he plays chess and drinks tea with Yin Changsheng, and discusses world affairs with them.

In the past hundred years, Sun Wukong has made a lot of progress in his cultivation. Now he has reached the great perfection of the Nascent Soul stage and is only one step away from the state of Transformation of Spiritual Energy. In the past hundred years, in addition to cultivation, Sun Wukong has read books passed down from the Yellow Emperor period and Taoist classics from the pre-Qin period when he has time. On a piece of land in Qingcheng Mountain, Sun Wukong planted some vegetables and grains and lived a truly secluded life.

"You too, you look so mature at such a young age."

"I can't lose anymore"

Sun Wukong took a sip of tea and put the two black pieces in his hand down on the chessboard.

"The celestial phenomena have been unusual recently. It seems that a person with great fortune will arrive soon."

Yin Changsheng, as one of the Eight Immortals of Shu in the Western Han Dynasty, has traveled around the world for hundreds of years. Sun Wukong vaguely remembered that the legendary Yin Changsheng attained enlightenment and ascended to heaven in Qingcheng Mountain. According to the results of his recent night observation of the sky, plus Yin Changsheng's words, Sun Wukong was sure that Zhang Daoling would come to Qingcheng Mountain soon. At this time, Zhang Daoling was probably a hundred years old. It seemed that he had been granted the "Zhengyi Mengwei Dao" by Taishang Laojun. Zhang Daoling had come to Shu several decades earlier, but he had not yet truly attained enlightenment. Now Zhang Daoling founded the Five Pecks of Rice Sect, and in the second year he was granted the "Three Days of Righteousness" by Taishang Laojun.

This looks like the biological son of Taishang Laojun. Zhang Daoling founded Taoism. This should be Taoism’s response to the great catastrophe of heaven and earth hundreds of years later.

"Brother Dao, I'm afraid you will also be able to attain enlightenment and ascend to heaven."

Sun Wukong looked at Yin Changsheng.

Yin Changsheng smiled and asked, "What are your plans, fellow Daoist?"

Sun Wukong sighed, "A hundred years ago, the world was in chaos and the people suffered. We cultivators came out one after another to help the world, but the people still suffered and we were also slaughtered. The most important thing in the world is the rise and fall of dynasties. The Zhou Dynasty had the longest luck of 800 years.

However, they were only in name only, and the dynasties changed for no more than a hundred years. When the dynasties rose, the people suffered, and when the dynasties fell, the people suffered. In times of peace, they lived in seclusion to cultivate the way of immortality, and in times of chaos, they came out to cultivate the way of humanity.

Yin Changsheng looked at Sun Wukong with a meaningful look and bowed to him, "I am really ashamed of myself for this."

Sun Wukong smiled slightly, “Brother, you are too modest.” But Sun Wukong knew that Yin Changsheng had been traveling around the world in search of the truth since the Western Han Dynasty. He had been in the world for more than three hundred years and had saved countless common people. He had accumulated great merits and virtues, and therefore he reached the realm of immortals and ascended to heaven within a hundred years.

Sun Wukong knew that in less than a hundred years, the situation that had just been stabilized would be broken. About a few decades later, the Yellow Turban Rebellion began, and the Han Dynasty's fortune really began to go to extinction. The following hundreds of years of the Wei, Jin, Southern and Northern Dynasties were full of endless wars and disputes. It was not until the Sui Dynasty that the world was gradually consolidated. It is true that in every dynasty and generation, it is the people who suffer.

Not long after that, Zhang Daoling visited Qingcheng Mountain and discussed Taoism with Sun Wukong and Yin Changsheng. Yin Changsheng and Zhang Daoling discussed Taoism all night long. After Yin Changsheng passed on his experience of hundreds of years to Zhang Daoling, he broke through the realm of celestial beings and ascended to heaven.

After Yin Changsheng left, Sun Wukong was still an ordinary man in Qingcheng Mountain, wearing cloth clothes, drinking tea under the trees, playing chess, and farming when he had nothing to do. Because of Zhang Daoling, more and more people in Qingcheng Mountain followed Zhang Daoling to practice Taoism. They naturally knew that there was a strange man in Shanshan, who usually lived in a thatched hut. He looked handsome and unrestrained, but seemed like an ordinary person. Every day he was either drinking tea and playing chess or working in the vegetable garden.

If you ask him about something, he knows it all. He has never been out of Qingcheng Mountain, but he is well-informed about what he has seen and heard.

Since Zhang Daoling founded the Zhengyi Mengwei Dao and ascended to heaven in Longhu Mountain more than ten years later, Sun Wukong continued his reclusive life in Qingcheng Mountain.

It was not until decades later that the Yellow Turban Rebellion broke out, princes rose up in various places, and wars continued. Sun Wukong, at the top of Mount Qingcheng, turned into a green light and flew down the mountain. The people suffered. Although there was the Yellow Emperor in this world, he had never forgotten the entrustment of the Yellow Emperor in the original world. He could not bear to see the people suffer.

"A powerful person in the God Transformation Realm. I didn't expect that he is actually in the God Transformation Realm."

"I have been in the mountains for decades. He has been living in that thatched cottage, guarding his vegetable garden. I originally thought he was just a hermit who knew some techniques to maintain his youth, but I didn't expect he was a true hermit master."
