The Impossible Sequel to Genshin Impact

Chapter 10 Entering the Ancient City Ruins

Paimon and his companions walked with difficulty in the endless desert. The sun shone down scorchingly, burning their skin, and the sand under their feet was so hot that it was unbearable. However, they did not stop, but moved forward firmly.

Paimon followed the elf closely. Her small figure looked a little tired in the hot air, but she still tried to keep smiling, trying to bring some relaxation to everyone. The black elf walked silently, her eyes were focused and firm, as if she was thinking about something important.

They walked through the endless desert, across dunes after dunes. Every step was full of hardship, but they did not give up. Paimon would occasionally stop to catch his breath, but soon catch up with the team again. Alice looked back from time to time to see if Paimon was okay, and there was a hint of concern in his eyes.

During this long journey, they encountered various difficulties and challenges. Sometimes the strong wind blew up the dust and made their vision blurred; sometimes the lack of water made them thirsty. But they always supported each other and overcame these difficulties together.

Finally, they saw a hint of green ahead, an oasis in the desert. Paimon cheered excitedly, and Alice and the elf also smiled with relief. They knew that this would be the place where they could rest and replenish their energy, and also the place where they could continue on their journey.

They quickened their pace and walked towards the oasis, their hearts full of expectations for the future. Although there are more unknown difficulties waiting for them ahead, they believe that as long as they unite as one, they will be able to overcome everything. Walking into the oasis, they found clear lake water and lush vegetation. Paimon couldn't wait to run to the lake, scooped up the water and drank it. The cool feeling instantly spread throughout her body, making her refreshed. Alice also found a comfortable place to sit down and rest. They observed the surrounding environment and found that there were some animals living in the oasis.

Paimon ran over to play with them curiously, and the elves and Alice began to prepare food. While enjoying the food, they discussed the next itinerary.

After a short rest, they recovered some of their strength, but their bodies still felt heavy, as if they were weighed down by a heavy burden. Their legs felt like they were filled with lead, and every step seemed extremely difficult. Despite this, they insisted on continuing their journey. The road ahead was still difficult, their breathing became rapid, and sweat flowed down their foreheads, soaking their clothes. They felt exhausted, but their hearts were full of courage and determination. Suddenly, a strong wind blew in, bringing with it a sky full of yellow sand. Paimon screamed in horror, hugged his head tightly and squatted down. Seeing this, Alice hurriedly pulled Paimon up and looked for a place to hide from the wind and sand together.

The wind gradually weakened and eventually died down. They resumed their journey and continued on their way. At this time, the elf pointed forward and shouted excitedly: "Look! There are the remains of an ancient city!"

The three of them immediately quickened their pace and headed towards the ruins. The city walls in front of them were already in ruins, and the city was in a state of desolation. Paimon looked around curiously, while the travelers carefully explored every corner.

In the ruins, they stumbled upon a relatively intact house. After entering the house, they were pleasantly surprised to find some well-preserved food and water inside.

After replenishing the necessary supplies, they found an ancient map in the house, which clearly marked a route to the outside world.

"Great, it seems we are heading in the right direction." Alice said ecstatically.

"Let's start treasure hunting!" Paimon shouted excitedly as they searched for various things in the ancient city.

"Wow, there are so many treasures here!" Paimon danced with joy.

"Paimon, why don't we search separately? This way it will be more efficient." Alice suggested.

"Okay, okay! Then I'll go over there and take a look." Paimon said and walked in another direction.

Not long after, Paimon suddenly screamed, "Ouch!"

Alice rushed over after hearing the noise, only to see Paimon standing in front of a cave with a terrified look on his face.

"What's wrong?" Alice asked with concern.

"I...I seem to have found an underground tomb!" Paimon said in a trembling voice.

Alice and another elf went forward to check, and indeed saw a deep cave filled with a mysterious and gloomy atmosphere.

"What is this place? Why are we here?" The elf frowned and thought.

Paimon grabbed the elf's clothes tightly and said fearfully: "I... I don't know, but it feels very dangerous!"

Alice comforted him, "Don't be afraid, let's go in carefully and take a look. Maybe there are some secrets or treasures hidden in there!"

So the three of them walked carefully into the catacombs.
