Hogwarts lazy snake

Chapter 215 Awakening

The next morning, the sun shone through the window into the school infirmary, and Hermione woke up slowly. She stretched her body, then stood up and walked to the sink, washed herself briefly, and woke herself up.

After finishing her tidying up, she sat back on the bed, wrapped herself tightly in the warm quilt, picked up a magic book and began to read.

However, her eyes always unconsciously drifted to the parchment notebook on the table.

When she thought of the wonderful exchange with Senior Riddle last night, her heart was moved. Those magic problems that had troubled her for a long time were solved one by one with the help of Senior Riddle, which made her excited and a little uneasy.

Her thoughts began to wander, and she couldn't help but wonder: If she could always rely on this notebook and senior Riddle's wisdom, would her grades improve by leaps and bounds, or even surpass Horn?

As soon as this thought came to her mind, Hermione quickly shook her head vigorously, as if to get rid of this dangerous idea from her mind.

She forced herself to focus again on the "Basics of Intermediate Spells" in her hand, trying not to think about the mysterious notebook.

After all, it felt too bizarre. Although it answered many questions, Hermione always felt that those answers seemed to have a vague connection with dark magic, which made her feel a little worried.

Near noon, Ron, wrapped in a thick scarf and looking like a dumpling, walked into the school infirmary to visit Hermione.

Last night, when he saw the greeting card that Hermione brought with her, he discovered that it was actually a greeting card written by Gilderoy Lockhart to Hermione. This made the unpleasant feeling in his heart disappear only a little.

He sat down on the chair beside the bed and asked Hermione how she felt and whether she was feeling better. Hermione said it might take some time to recover.

Then, Ron quietly put the card back when Hermione wasn't paying attention.

Hermione then told Ron everything about the conversation with the mysterious notebook last night. Ron's eyes widened and his face was full of shock.

He unconsciously moved his body back towards the chair, as if he wanted to get further away from the notebook. Suddenly, as if he had thought of something, he lowered his voice, pointed at the notebook and asked, "Can he hear us now?"

Hermione looked at the notes on the yellow paper and realized the problem. She also lowered her voice and answered, "I put the talisman given by Horn on it. I think it won't be heard. However, to be on the safe side, we'd better keep our voices down."

Hermione also wanted Ron to take the note to the Room of Requirement and give it to Horn the Alchemist to ask what to do with this strange note.

Ron immediately nodded in agreement, stood up, picked up the notes on the desk and prepared to go out.

"Didn't you say that Horn didn't know what was going on? No matter how you called him, he didn't respond to you? Maybe Horn was busy and couldn't answer you. What's the point of you being so anxious?"

Hermione pulled Ron back and glared at him fiercely, with a hint of helplessness in her tone.

Ron scratched his head and sat down a little embarrassedly: "It seems so. How come Horn is not here at this time when we need to find him for something?"

Hermione looked at Ron's unreliable appearance and asked unhappily, "Why are you the only one here? Where's your sister Ginny? Why didn't she come with you?"

Usually at this time, Ron and Ginny would come to visit him one after another.

"I don't know. I didn't see her in the restaurant. I thought she had come to your place to see Harry. But it may be that the weather is cold and she is sleeping in the dormitory." Ron replied.

At this point, Ron looked at Hermione, who was wrapped in the quilt with only her face and hands exposed, and suddenly felt that no matter how many clothes he put on, he would still feel cold.

Hermione rolled her eyes at Ron and said, "You think everyone is like you, always sleeping late."

Just then, Ginny came in, yawning, greeted Hermione and Ron, and sat in the chair next to Harry's bed.

Hermione and Ron looked at Ginny's listless appearance with dark circles under her eyes, and asked in unison:

"Ginny, where did you go last night? Why do you have such big dark circles under your eyes?!"

"What's wrong with you? Didn't you sleep well?"

Ginny wrapped her clothes around her and sniffed: "I don't know. Maybe I was in a hurry to go to the bathroom last night, so I ran out of the common room and forgot to put on my clothes. I feel like I have a cold now. It seems I have to ask Madam Pomfrey for some potion later."

Haha~ sniff

As she spoke, Ginny sneezed.

Outside the Guardian's base, Gao Ke was slowly walking towards them with a noisy black bird.

"Ha~ha~Gao Ke, can you please walk faster? I'm in a hurry to see Horn. Ha~I haven't seen Horn for a long time and I miss him. When you were talking about Horn, did you miss me, Mr. Heisi? I don't think so. He's enjoying himself in Hogwarts. He has Hermione and Miss Luna who always wants to stick to the brat and smell him."

Hei Si stood on Gao Ke's shoulder, flapping his wings and talking non-stop like a Gatling gun.

Gao Ke couldn't stand the chattering raven anymore. "I say, don't you have wings? Why don't you just fly to find Horn? You're already here."

But Hei Si seemed not to hear it, or maybe he heard it but just wanted to experience the feeling of being in control: "But, it should be holiday now, maybe he is playing with Scarlett and John, haha~ Why does it feel like there is a difference between being teased by Mr. Hei Si and not being teased by him, haha~ No, this is not allowed."

Horn woke up slowly, feeling refreshed, as if he had just had an extremely comfortable and pleasant sleep, without any discomfort or drowsiness.

He slowly opened his eyes, and what came into view was the ceiling of the room in the Guardian Base that he was familiar with.

For a moment, he was in a trance, and his thoughts gradually drifted back to what had happened before.

The memory of the excruciating pain brought by Voldemort's Cruciatus Curse still lingered deep in his mind, but his body could no longer feel any pain. He subconsciously moved his fingers, his heart full of confusion.

Then, everything that happened in the previous consciousness space slowly came to mind.

"Horn, you finally woke up."

Carlotta's gentle and concerned voice came from the side. She quickly stood up from the chair and walked a few steps to Horn's bed. Her eyes were full of relief and joy. Her eyes were slightly red, as if she had secretly cried because she was worried about Horn.

She reached out her hand and gently tidied Horn's messy hair. Her movements were extremely gentle, as if she was treating the most precious treasure in the world.

"Uh, I'm fine. Carlotta, why are you here? Aren't you traveling with your family?"

Horn looked at Carlotta's expression and suddenly felt uncomfortable, so he pushed her away.

At this moment, before Carlotta could say anything, An's joking voice came from the door: "Oh, our little hero finally woke up, but some people were so worried that they couldn't eat or drink."

Before he finished speaking, Hei Si's unique quacking sound came in: "Ga~Horn, you slept long enough. Master Hei Si has almost caught all the bugs in this place."

An walked into the room with a smile on his face, his eyes flicking back and forth between Horn and Carlotta, his expression clearly saying "I understand." Hei Si flapped his wings and flew directly to the table beside Horn's bed, tilting his head to look at him.

Horn rolled his eyes at An helplessly: "Sister An, please stop teasing me." He turned to look at Hei Si, "Hei Si, you're still so noisy after not seeing you for so long."

Carlotta blushed slightly and gave An a reproachful look: "An, stop talking nonsense." Then she looked at Horn and said, "I rushed back as soon as I heard that you were in trouble. How could I have the heart to travel?"

Horn felt warm in his heart and was about to speak, but An rushed to say: "Carlotta took care of you during your coma. You should thank her."

Horn scratched his head awkwardly and changed the subject: "Let's not talk about this for now. During the time I was unconscious, was there any new situation? Is there any news from Voldemort?"

Gao Ke also came in at this time, his face became serious: "Voldemort has disappeared since the day he cast the Cruciatus Curse on you."
