This was Zhu Zheng's second time stepping into this notorious den of brothel.

Compared to the last time I saw it at the age of twelve, the Jinxiang Tower was even more luxurious and magnificent than before. It had been expanded from three stories high to five stories high, with carved beams and painted buildings, and even the hanging bells on the eaves were plated with gold foil.

A huge pond was dug into the main hall, with koi carps swimming around it. Four long and wide glazed screens were erected around it, depicting pictures of dragons, tigers, lions and leopards fighting.

Zhu Zheng had an instinctive aversion to this place. Surrounded by elegant ladies, she could only think of Zhu Long's gray body, who had once stood stiffly here for everyone to watch.

A guest who was not paying attention, like a fish in a pond, has drowned out the person Zhu Zheng wanted to follow.

All kinds of drunk people were walking around. She pushed through the crowd anxiously, but before she took two steps, a woman in red suddenly cut in and blocked her way.

"The golden days are short, enjoy this night." The woman's voice was sweet and charming, "Miss, do you want a young man or a beautiful woman?"

“I don’t want any of them.” Zhu Zheng said coldly, then moved away and continued walking.

The woman in red immediately turned around and followed Zhu Zheng, "You can call me Red Bird."

"Miss Redbird, I'm here to look for someone. Don't waste your breath on me." Zhu Zheng said.

"I see." Redbird made an expression of sudden enlightenment, and smiled exaggeratedly, covering her mouth with her hands. "You are here to catch someone committing adultery, right?"

The man in black had disappeared without a trace, so perhaps this explanation would be of some use to her, so Zhu Zheng nodded.

Hong Que flicked her sleeves and laughed as sweet as a silver bell, "I'll take you to catch it. After you succeed, you can give me some money as a reward."

Zhu Zheng did not hesitate and generously took out a silver ingot from his body.

"make a deal."

Hong Que led Zhu Zheng through the noisy hall and the pool covered with layers of gauze curtains with ease, and finally led her to the second floor, "Miss, the distinguished guests rest here."

The long corridors lead to the guest rooms, and the beaded gauze flutters along with the sound of silk music in the hall.

"What does he look like?" inquired the Red Linnet.

"I wear all black. I like to cover myself up when I come here. I dress shamefully." Zhu Zheng replied.

As soon as the words fell, Redbird's eyes froze and his expression suddenly changed.

Zhu Zheng did not miss her abnormal reaction and grabbed Hong Que, "You have seen the person I'm looking for, right?"

Redbird turned halfway around and forced a smile, "I don't want to do this business anymore."

As she spoke, she looked downstairs nervously, as if she was on guard against someone's eyes. Zhu Zheng pulled her aside and asked, "Miss Red Sparrow?"

There was a noise coming from downstairs, which was different from the laughter and playfulness just now, as it seemed to be mixed with the sound of panic and chaos.

"I have to go!" Redbird pulled her hand away, "Girl, listen to my advice and find a place to hide quickly."

Before Zhu Zheng could ask any more questions, Hong Que had already broken free from her hand and ran downstairs.

Zhu Zheng chased downstairs, and the people in the hall were like a frightened flock of sheep, rushing around and trying to push her away.

"Murder!" Suddenly, several sharp shouts came from the crowd, "Run for your lives! The black-faced ghost is here to kill again!"

The hall was luxuriously decorated and the lighting was not bright. Zhu Zheng was squeezed in the crowd and could only see a black shadow holding a long knife in the backlight. The blade flashed coldly in the dim light.

A disheveled man was lying at the man's feet, with a bloody hole in his chest and blood foam constantly gushing out of his mouth.

He took a glance, pried open the man's eyelids, and slowly gouged out the man's eyes with a long knife. He then bent down to pick up a piece of porcelain shards, stuffed it into the man's already bloody mouth, and forced the twisted face to raise a creepy smile.

"That's right." He said to himself with satisfaction, and when he lowered his head, a golden locket slipped out from his collar, dangling.

Fresh blood slowly dripped from the long gun tip. He looked around, stretched out two fingers and gently pressed them on his lips, "Shh, stop making noise."

His voice was not loud, but the noisy voices suddenly quieted down.

The man's chin was revealed in a strange smile. While wiping the blood off the spear on his sleeve, he looked around slowly, as if he was choosing his next prey.

When her eyes swept over Zhu Zheng, her heart suddenly sank. Before she could see his appearance clearly, someone behind her grabbed her hard and pulled her behind a half-collapsed screen.

"Are you really going to die?!" The person who spoke in a low voice was Hong Que. She had just seen Zhu Zheng standing by the pool without moving for a long time and her heart was about to jump out of her chest.

Zhu Zheng was confused for a long time before she thanked Hongque.

Redbird thought she was just frightened, so he pushed her inside and blocked her outside. "This black-faced ghost comes to cause trouble every once in a while, kills a few people and then leaves."

Her tone was very casual, as if killing someone was as easy as chopping wood.

There were many people hiding behind the screen, but the noise was gone. Most of the people had expressions of fear on their faces, and there was a mixture of suppressed breaths around them. It seemed as if one could hear the heartbeats of different people echoing in their ears.

“Why didn’t anyone report it to the police?”

Zhu Zheng was puzzled. Why were they so obedient and willing to be killed and cut? Even if the real God of Hell came, he would know better than to die like this.

The air seemed to freeze, and Hong Que suddenly laughed, "Is this your first time at Jinxiang Tower, young lady?"

Does this have anything to do with how many times I've come to Jinxiang Tower? Could it be that this place is outside the Three Realms and no longer in the Five Elements?

Seeing that Zhu Zheng didn't say anything, Hong Que was about to speak when the broken screen hanging diagonally behind her was suddenly kicked away. A long spear pierced Hong Que's shoulder and dragged her out alive.

A shrill wailing sound suddenly resounded throughout the hall. The black-faced ghost grabbed her hair nonchalantly and dragged her into the pool as if he was dragging something, leaving a shocking trail of blood on the ground.

"Shh..." He turned Redbird's face over, "Call your landlord to come out."

The redbird trembled all over and whimpered, "I don't understand..."

"That's such a pity." The man twisted the handle of the gun that was inserted into Redbird's shoulder, which in turn resulted in a sharper howl. He suddenly laughed wildly, and the laughter echoed along with the howling, which was particularly harsh and terrifying.

"You fat worms are really loyal."

He drew out his spear and nonchalantly pressed it against Redbird's neck. Just as he was about to pierce it, he heard a noise behind him and a large piece of broken glazed screen came slantingly towards him.

Countless fragments burst apart with a deafening sound, splashing into the koi pond, scaring the koi in the pond so much that they jumped out of the pond.

Without any shelter, the people fled in all directions again. In the chaos, Zhu Zheng crawled to the side of Redbird and felt her remaining breath.

Zhu Zheng glanced in the direction where the crowd was fleeing. There was a gap at the bottom of the stairs where she could hide. She held up the half-dead Redbird and stepped into the pool. Suddenly, a close human face was reflected in the water in front of her.

Blood dyed half of his face under the mask red. His two eyes were dark holes on his pale and thin cheeks, with a white streak hanging under his eyeballs, like a sickle from the underworld that cuts human flesh.

Almost instantly, it was like falling into an icy cave. The cold water seeped into my skin and flesh, while the blood in my body began to boil.

These are a pair of eyes that have been engraved in Zhu Zheng's heart with blood and fire forever, even if their bones are turned into ashes.
