Marvel crosses Star Wars, and everyone attacks the galaxy
Chapter 432 Mandalore Summit
In the center of the arena, representatives of the three Mandalorian factions sat around a circular array of chairs and tables.
The helmet was placed on the table, and when the face of the protector's leader was revealed, the atmosphere in the venue became solemn.
"Clone?!" a soldier exclaimed, obviously confused by the situation.
"Is it an avatar that is in charge of the guardian?" someone questioned.
"His voice sounds familiar."
"traitor."
Spall scoffed at the clone trooper's question, his eyes showing disdain. He stood up and said loudly, "I am a free man who made my own choices and decisions. These were not determined by long-necked, indifferent creatures from some rainy planet. I have never served the Republic, nor have I ever turned my back on the Mandalorians. Those dying, corrupt bureaucracies should have been eliminated centuries ago."
Many of the Mandalorians present were uncomfortable hearing him mention the disastrous war of centuries ago. The Jedi Knights remained silent, their postures stern and unreadable. Anakin in particular crossed his arms, his hands clutching the sleeves of his robes whenever he thought of the atrocities committed by the Republic.
Barriss and Ahsoka kept their heads down, not wanting to meet the gaze of their new friend. At this moment, the Duchess' voice broke the silence. "We are on sacred ground," she said. "Let us speak politely and not disturb those who are resting here."
This made everyone present fall into deep thought. Finally, Almek broke the silence. "Can we officially start this summit now?" he asked.
Then the blond matriarch of Mandalore took center stage, her voice ringing across the arena. "Mandalorians," Satine said loudly, making sure everyone could hear her. "We have our own beliefs and our own paths in this galaxy. Today, we will discuss our future and our destiny together."
Her voice was full of strength and determination, as if she could lead the Mandalorians into a new era. Satine continued passionately: "We are in a turbulent era. The conflict between the Republic and the Separatists is intensifying, and countless galaxies are gradually being drawn into this endless war. Ultron's participation in the war will undoubtedly further escalate the already chaotic situation. The planet Mandalore is on the brink of disorder."
"Though we seem to be out of the war for now, I know that the Protectors and Death Watch have suffered untold pain at the hands of this crazy artificial intelligence. The exchanges between them are not quarrels, but secret conversations. Mandalore seems to have survived Ultron's onslaught on the galaxy, but this does not mean that we can rest easy.
"Multiple worlds have been attacked, and those once guarded by the Protectors and Deathwatch have now fallen into enemy hands. Although they have repelled the invading forces, information has still leaked out, and the entire galaxy has seen through Ultron's ambitions - he is not targeting only one force, regardless of allegiance, he is coming for everyone."
"Although Mandalore has been spared from Ultron's wrath, war will eventually come to our homeland." Sardin predicted. "Although I am reluctant to accept this fact, I ask all of us to prepare for the coming challenges."
In the silence, Sparr stood up and paced back and forth beside the conference table. Although no one noticed, deep in his mind, he was filled with the vital memory of Jango Fett - Jango had returned to Mandalore to carve his mentor's name into the arena, thus ensuring his own name would live on.
"We would like to thank the organizer of this meeting, Satine Klitz," Spall said, "but this incident far exceeded our expectations."
Almec corrected firmly, "You are to call her the Duchess."
"We do not accept royalty as our way, Prime Minister," Spar responded. "Our path is one of conflict, war, and self-improvement through those conflicts. We do not accept this dynastic way of ruling. We follow the Mandalorian Way - a code of honor and resolve."
The protectors chorused, “This is our path.” Their voices were loud and proud.
"Whatever alliance the other side hopes to achieve, it should understand that the foundation of such an alliance is fragile," Spahr said.
"Why do you believe this?" Satine asked in a challenging manner.
"We are not pacifists," Spall stated firmly. "We never have been, and we never will be. Your so-called dictatorship of a planet, and those star systems that follow it, is simply evidence of your refusal to accept the new Mandalorians."
"You are nothing more than puppets of the Republic, the same government that destroyed our home world," Toby accused.
In response, Odo crossed his arms in a haughty manner and said, "Clearly, your view of this threat is not practical, Kriz. You are about to face what you consider to be the most hypocritical thing."
However, Satine did not flinch in her response: "I know exactly what I am doing, Mr. Oddo. People close to me have told me that I did not do it out of pride, but for my people. If the safety of my people is threatened, I will never care about my pride. If necessary, I am willing to give it up, as long as there is a future for Mandalore and his people."
"That's easier said than done," someone retorted.
However, Satine countered, "Aren't you all here? If I weren't desperate or stupid, I wouldn't have asked you here. This is no longer about my faith or anyone else's. This is about the future of our entire people, and whether there will be a future... for Mandalore."
Under the gaze of the crowd, silence enveloped the scene. Everyone silently exchanged their thoughts with each other.
"Gee, this is like a good debate match," Falcon commented, looking them over.
"You wanna place a bet?" Daredevil asked blithely, his hand resting lightly on his cane.
Falcon shrugged his disinterest.
"This might turn into a fight," Vision said worriedly.
Gamora said: "Maybe they need to fight hard. Our Mandalorian companions always talk about their traditions, and ritual combat is part of it."
At this time, Mantis asked curiously: "Does this mean Finn has to be involved?" Although she was a little worried, she was still full of curiosity.
Amid the chaos, Hope said to himself, "The atmosphere here is much better than in the Senate meeting."
"Why do you say that?"
The Wasp explains, "Things are actually being resolved here, rather than being endlessly delayed. They're actually looking for a compromise."
The Wakanda prince sensed a unique spiritual presence in the place, a feeling that reminded him of the heart-shaped herb garden back home.
HK: "Besides me, the Mandalorians are pretty good at handling the meatbags."
Spider-Man asked curiously, "Where did you find this crazy guy?"
"On an abandoned spaceship that has been drifting in space for 4000 years."
"You restarted him again?" Spider-Man asked with a hint of surprise.
Gamora murmured, "That's a good question indeed. Rocket mentioned that something was holding HK up until he fixed it. HK, do you still have that locker on your chest?"
Vision's eyes turned to the HK robot and began to carefully examine the locker on its chest.
"HK, could you please..."
The HK robot seemed to say apologetically, "Maybe later."
The atmosphere was becoming increasingly tense, and some Mandalorians had begun to put their hands on their weapons.
"Oh my god," Falcon was now nervous and looked back at the meeting in front of him.
"So, what about the Republic?" asked Wolfs, one of Beau's lieutenants. He questioned, "What say they have in all this? Another bombing of our people? Another annihilation because we would choose unity?"
Toby responded sharply, "I will not put our people in danger again for their benefit." He shot a glare in the direction of the Jedi and clones, his eyes filled with anger. "They have taken up a position here, practically declaring their rule."
Almec countered: "We do not serve the Republic."
"Oh? Then please tell me what form of government you have now?" asked Bo-Katan's deputy, Koska Reeves.
Jedi and clones were moving about, but their defiant gazes were fixed on the Mandalorian.
"We argue in this sacred arena, and why? Because those who would lead to our destruction are even allowed to be here."
Many of the Mandalorians from both the Protectorate and the Death Watch murmured their agreement, all eyeing the Jedi with suspicion and distrust.
Luminara calmly explained, "We are not here to provoke further conflict with the Mandalorians."
Anakin smiled wryly and said, "We're already busy as hell, and we don't really want to start another war."
However, Dax countered, "But what happens after that? If the Mandalorians unite, who can guarantee that the Republic won't turn its sights on us again?"
Skywalker responded defiantly: "If you can just give us a reason."
"Anakin," Obi-Wan shouted.
Bo-Katan wondered aloud, “Are we here to bicker like politicians, or to come to some kind of agreement?” She further emphasized that, at the end of the day, we are still Mandalorians and should follow our own path.
Boba Fett muttered, "Death Watch is an ancient form. Don't forget the last conflict between Death Watch and the super commandos who followed Jester Merel. Your group realized that they could not defeat the Mandalorians led by my father, so they resorted to treachery and dishonorable means."
Finn said: "The Super Vizsla was once a clan respected by all Mandalorians, but now we are led by a fake Mandalorian and pointed out our direction. Thor Vizsla is a cruel guy, and Pre Vizsla is a deceived fool. Real Mandalorians like She Vizsla and Tar Vizsla are worthy of respect and following."
In such dialogues and reflections, all parties are looking for solutions, while also trying to maintain the honor and beliefs of their own ethnic groups. Behind all this, there is a common goal: to find a path that truly belongs to the Mandalorians.
Ahsoka asked confusedly, "What is the Super Assault Codex?"
Luminara guessed that this might be some kind of doctrine that the protectors believed in.
However, Bo-Katan sees it differently, stressing, "The past is the past."
“And yet, the past often haunts the future.”
"Did you hear what that blind man said?" Bo-Katan shouted, pointing at Daredevil in a mocking tone. "My Owl and I cannot represent Death Watch yet, as we came here without Vizsla's knowledge. We are here for all Mandalorians, not just ourselves. My sister called us here for this purpose, so can we stop bickering like children?"
After Bo-Katan finished speaking, everyone fell into a thoughtful silence, and no one refuted her point. All the Mandalorians sat or stood quietly, lost in thought.
In this silence, everyone seemed to hear or feel something. The ground and the surrounding air began to tremble slightly for a while. Everyone looked around, trying to figure out what was going on.
Soon after, rumblings and explosions began to be heard.
Instantly, everyone stood up and looked over the arena wall toward the ancient city view. Then, a panicked scream and shout broke out.
When asked what happened, everyone heard one name: "It's Ultron!"
Then there was the sound of an explosion that cut off the clone's cries, ending his life.
After hearing the news, robot HK was overjoyed. "Long live violence!"
