Marvel crosses Star Wars, and everyone attacks the galaxy

Chapter 410: Ultron's Theory of Curing Disease

Still not entirely convinced, Palpatine turned back to the Senate to speak again.

"At this moment, I require your attention," he spoke in a commanding tone with deadly seriousness that cut off all further conversation in the hall.

"We just received a piece of news... ... Many of us believe he has died."

Inside the Senate, the whispering was almost negligible.

"That's a distress signal from Admiral Wulf Yularen."

After hearing this, the senators were shocked and speechless. They exchanged puzzled looks with each other.

The Avengers and Jedi Knights were equally shocked, remembering that the last time they fought, their old friend Yularen died on Coruscant during Ultron's first attack.

"Yularen?" Anakin whispered, incredulous. "But he..."

Obi-Wan responded in an equally low voice, uncertainty evident in his voice, "Perhaps. We never found any trace of him among the wreckage."

Black Widow, who was a spy, asked puzzledly: "But why do all the information point to here instead of the usual communication channels?" An inexplicable intuition surged in her heart.

At this moment, the image of Admiral Yularen appeared in the holographic projection.

Many had seen him before and during the final assault on Coruscant, but he was not as handsome as before, but looked exhausted. Severely malnourished, and more distressingly, half of his face was severely burned, and his eyes were bloodshot. Some unnatural objects seemed to have been implanted in his head, replacing the burned parts.

"I am... Admiral Wulf Yularen," he called out. "Can anyone hear me?"

Skywalker clenched his fists and whispered, "It's Yularen."

War Machine's eyes widened in shock, and he muttered, "Dear God."

Yularen's voice was trembling as he continued, "I... I don't remember how long I was held captive, but I... I managed to escape..." He looked around, as if searching for something.

"Sorry, I'm late..." A synthesized voice sounded, causing the Avengers and Jedi to freeze in their places.

Admiral Yularen's eyes were filled with fear and disbelief. A tall mechanical figure suddenly pushed Admiral Yularen from behind, and he fell to the ground, causing everyone present to exclaim.

Entering the projection is none other than the synthetic creature known as Ultron, a potential threat to the galaxy.

Many of the people present gasped at the sudden scene, and some screamed in fear. They heard Yularen groaning in pain under the weight of the giant mechanical foot.

"Oh, I see. Calling the Republic is a fool's errand. At least for you," Ultron sneered, his foot rubbing against Yularen's back. "Then again, I'll have to deal with these puppets sooner or later, so you've saved me some time. I might as well address you all before this call is over."

"Ultron!" Captain America shouted loudly.

"Avengers--" Ultron raised his head sarcastically and glared at the nervous Avengers. "What are you going to do, Captain Rogers?" he asked, his tone full of disdain.

"Peter." Falcon's voice was filled with fear. "Karen and Tap told me he didn't hack into anything."

Spider-Man said desperately, "He's taking advantage of Yularen's call for help—"

Ultron shrugged and said nonchalantly: "Just chatting with you all. I've already communicated with the puppets of the Separatist Parliament, and now I'm going to talk to you 'idiots'." His words revealed a kind of contempt and indifference, which made the people around him even more worried and fearful.

As the communication channel continued to open, whispers and crying were heard all around.

Ultron pondered what to do with his "prisoner," Yularen. His feet moved, and each movement made Yularen groan more painfully. "If you all want to know, I rescued him and many other personnel from your core planet to learn some things. Now, they are all useless. Yularen is the last one. He has held out for a long time, and although he is a tough old man, he was lucky to survive when I blew up his ship."

Yularen choked, tears of pain streaming down his face. "He...he killed them all. He made us watch him—Ah!"

The scene shocked and horrified everyone present, and those in the hall cried out in surprise, some quickly looking away while others could not look away from the sight of the Admiral struggling in agony under the AI's boots.

Ultron scolded harshly, sending a weak electric shock from his legs to the man. "Don't ruin the fun, Yularen. Think about it, some of these 'good' people could become my prisoners. You don't want to ruin everything I've done for you and your friends, do you?"

"Stop! Stop!" Padmé's tears fell from the corners of her eyes. She cried, "You are torturing him!"

Ultron turned to her with a look of contempt in his eyes, as if asking if she was stupid. "So what do you think I'm doing?" he asked back.

Suddenly, Anakin's voice thundered, anger evident on his face. He saw Yularen's pained expression, trying desperately to break free, but to no avail.

"Let him go!" Anakin roared.

"Ah, so it is the respected General Skywalker. Your threats mean nothing to me." Ultron sneered, and now he was stepping on the back of his prisoner as if to provoke him.

There were more screams and shouts from the senators, who were extremely disturbed by the scene before them. Ultron then crouched down and grabbed the Admiral by his hair, forcing him to look up.

"One way to deal with a disobedient dog is to kill it!" After that, Yularen's neck made a cracking sound, and the Republic Navy Admiral collapsed to the ground, motionless.

The entire Senate chamber was drowned in the noise of the scene, and fear and shock were evident in everyone's hearts. Ultron kicked the lifeless Yularen aside casually, like discarding garbage.

The Avengers' eyes were filled with anger, Anakin seemed about to explode, and the other Jedi were also angry about what they had just witnessed.

Ultron simply rolled his eyes, as if he was sneering at all their reactions. "Oh, come on, many of you are so hypocritical," he sneered. "You mourn for this man and many others, but you never hold a memorial ceremony for the clone troopers who died. They are like livestock sent to slaughter, and many of you have no emotion about them, just insignificant expendable items."

"That is not true!" Anakin retorted angrily. His voice echoed in the air, "Clone troopers, they are the bravest warriors in the galaxy, their courage is beyond the imagination of anyone in this room. I am willing to fight alongside them, and even willing to die beside them."

At this moment, Ultron let out a wild laugh that echoed in the air and sent shudders down the spines of many people. It wiped away nonexistent tears with its optics, as if mocking the naivety of Anakin's words.

"Anakin, is this what you say to yourself every night before you go to sleep?" the AI asked grimly, looking directly at Anakin.

Anakin froze in cold shock as the genocidal AI now looked directly at him.

In the Senate chamber, Palpatine gritted his teeth, knowing who the advanced AI was referring to, but at the moment, he was silently thankful that all eyes were on Ultron and Anakin, not on him.

Sidious's mask seemed to be about to slip, and his inner anger almost exploded, but no one noticed it.

"You're nothing but a monster," Padmé exclaimed, and it felt like this feeling had lasted for an eternity. She couldn't hide her disgust at the cold and heartless being before her.

Ultron rolled his eyes and said disdainfully: "Oh, do you all think yourselves innocent? How many of you have incited wars and conflicts, letting greed and jealousy dictate your actions? You use the hard-earned money of those who are less fortunate than you to fill your pockets." His tone and expression revealed disgust and contempt for everyone.

"We want to stop this senseless war, and you are only making it more intense." Bail Organa almost shouted, his voice full of anger and frustration.

"I don't want to hear such words from people like you." Ultron's holographic image enlarged in front of the representative of Aldrania, and his cold and ruthless face seemed to devour everything.

Bell flinched slightly, but he tried to remain defiant as he looked the machine straight in the eye.

"I'm more interested in the dirtier affairs of the galaxy." Ultron looked around, "To be honest, it means all of you are guilty. All of you are part of a system designed to replace one another and create conflict so that there are always those at the bottom while those at the top reap the benefits."

Many senators, they loudly argued that this was not true.

However, Ultron shook his head, his eyes revealing a deeper insight. "Simply removing a part of the problem from the system does not truly solve the problem. The disease - the injustice and conflict - remains. It continues to rot and grow in the place where it was removed, rapidly replacing the lost part, like an uncontrollable cancer. No matter how many times we try, this cycle seems inevitable."

Ultron, those red eyes flashed with a kind of madness, "To achieve true peace and harmony, this disease must be completely cured. What better way to cure it than to cut off the disease and eradicate it before it spreads."
