Marvel crosses Star Wars, and everyone attacks the galaxy
Chapter 405: Ultron Arrives
Inside the manor, there was a tense atmosphere in the air. The Republic was clearly dissatisfied with the actions of the Separatists, and they believed that the attack on Kamino would only inspire the Republic's determination to escalate the war.
"I had expected something like this to happen." Mina's voice was exhausted. "I tried to suppress this thought, but fear eventually overwhelmed my desire for peace."
"I was surprised when you told me about this attack. Mina, why would you take such a risk? It would put you and your son in danger."
Mina's eyes gleamed with determination. "I believe it's worth it. If there's a chance to prove that not all Separatists are eager to continue this war, I will take it in a heartbeat."
Padmé was deeply moved by Mina's determination, and her expression was full of conflict. She gave her mentor a proud look, which Mina noticed.
"What is the matter, my friend?" asked the Separatist of Alderaan.
Padmé hesitated, then remembered the risk Mina had taken when she had offered her a helping hand. She felt it was only fair to do the same here.
"It was fortunate, in fact, that you did tell me about the attack on Kamino," Padmé said, "and it gave me the opportunity to investigate something that has been bothering me for months."
"What could that be?" asked Bontry.
"About the origins of the Clone Army that fought for the Republic," Padmé said bluntly.
The topic clearly surprised Bontry. She took a moment to think, wondering, "The origin of the clone army? Why would you want to investigate something like that?"
Padmé explained slowly, "You know, Bontry, you are one of the smartest people I know. Did you ever wonder why, when the war broke out, the Republic seemed to gather such a large fighting force out of nowhere? Didn't it intrigue you where this army came from, with the ships, vehicles, and numbers needed to sustain this war?"
Bontry was obviously startled by the question, and she knew that the answer to this question might reveal more truths about the war. In the quiet night, her voice echoed in the air with a hint of uneasiness. "If I remember correctly, wasn't the prototype of the clone army based on bounty hunters?"
"If you look at it from a template perspective, that's true. But its implications go far beyond what we know. The hidden secrets may subvert our understanding of the entire galaxy." Padmé's voice was serious.
"Do you have any evidence?" Bontry asked.
Padmé took a deep breath, "I do have some evidence, but it's not enough to end this war immediately."
Padmé knew that she needed more preparation, and that her efforts might be able to influence the Republic and ultimately achieve a lasting peace.
Meanwhile, Ultron was wandering the galaxy...which was why she desperately needed to talk to Bontry in person.
"Right now, the Senate of the Republic is holding a crucial vote on whether to escalate the war effort. Thankfully, many deputies are undecided on what to do."
Mina's lips left the drink and a curious expression appeared on her face. "Did you notice? The Separatist Council is in a similar predicament."
Padmé continued, "I believe that if you can convince your representatives to extend an olive branch of peace to the Republic, the Senate may make a different decision and finally open the door to negotiations."
"That's easier said than done, considering what happened on Kamino. But I admire your spirit, Padmé. Many senators are concerned about what Ultron is doing in the galaxy, and they want to work together to defeat him…."
Hearing this, Padmé breathed a sigh of relief, "Thank you, Mina."
"For peace." They said in unison.
……
"Are you a member of the Avengers?" Lux Bontry asked Spider-Man in surprise.
"You and your team are practically the stars of the holographic videos these days!" he continued.
Spider-Man was a little surprised after hearing this, with a curious light in his eyes, and asked, "Really?"
"It's hard not to pay attention to news like this, because you and your fellow Avengers have turned the tide of the war in a big way."
At this, Spider-Man flinched, which didn't go unnoticed by Lux, "What's wrong?"
"Nothing, it's just..." Spider-Man scratched the back of his head gently and continued, "The Avengers are not part of the Republic. Although we help them on the battlefield, our involvement...well, Captain America saw your side attack a city full of civilians. Honestly, the man leading your army is not the friendliest person I have ever met."
Lux sighed and looked away from Spider-Man's face to where Ahsoka and Barris stood, talking quietly at a distance from the two of them.
“I guess things will become more and more complicated in the vortex of this war,” Lux said lightly.
Spider-Man admits candidly: "I never wanted to get involved in a war. When I started my 'superhero career' I just wanted to help the little guys and didn't want to be dragged into the middle of a galactic conflict."
“It is indeed unfortunate for many people to live in this era,” Lux said softly.
"Many of our Avengers have had similar experiences. Some have joined the military, either before or after our group was formed. Some of them have spent almost their entire lives in war and conflict, while others..."
"I probably understand."
There was a brief silence between the two of them, digesting this information.
“There are some beautiful things hidden in this land.” Lux said slowly, his eyes looking at Padawan not far away.
"Like?" Spider-Man asked, somewhat bewilderedly.
"Like those fascinating teams of Jedi Knights," Lux explained, moving his shoulders slightly. "I see they've come together, working together for some purpose."
Spider-Man stared at Lux with a somewhat vacant look, then shifted his gaze back and forth between his two Padawans. "Hey," he said with some caution, "Don't have those weird ideas. Those two can knock you down at any time.
"That's not what I meant," Lux said blandly. "I was just stating the facts as I saw them. You seemed to have a good relationship with both of them. Don't you..."
Spider-Man's face flushed slightly, and he looked a little at a loss. "I...I...uh...I didn't...No, no, I did..."
Spider-Man's words were interrupted by Ahsoka's bright smile, and her conversation with Barris caught his eye. At the same time, Barris also glanced at him while talking to Ahsoka.
"…It's okay… Yeah, maybe there were one or two times…" Spider-Man answered hesitantly, "But that's only because they're friends, and those Jedi Knights. I always felt that they wouldn't be interested in me in that way. Their creed would prevent any inappropriate behavior."
Lux frowned at this. "That doesn't sound like a colorful life."
Spider-Man explains: "It's the burden of responsibility. They are given great power and must use it wisely for the sake of others."
"Is happiness not allowed?"
Spider-Man was lost in thought, his eyes locked on the two girls he had grown so close to since his arrival in this galaxy.
……
In the Capitol building of Lazacas, the senators were arguing fiercely, and the voices were rising and falling. In the stands far away, Spider-Man, Ahsoka, Barris and Padme quietly hid their identities and watched closely. They witnessed this potential conflict.
"Before a senseless conflict occurs, lives must be sacrificed," Mina said in her speech. "There must be room in the galaxy for Confederacy and Republic planets to coexist."
"The arrogance of the Republic does not allow this to happen," a senator retorted.
"But if we have the chance to deal with something like this, we must seize it. If not stop the war, at least prevent further bloodshed between us and the Republic. Have we forgotten about Ultron and his assault on the galaxy?" As Mina said this, she shot a sharp look at Voi Alter, who returned the look in return.
"Isn't this a more urgent and severe threat?" Mina asked back, her tone full of determination. She further proposed: "Therefore, I suggest that we immediately start a peaceful dialogue with Prime Minister Palpatine on the Coruscant issue." As soon as the voice fell, excited cheers and shouts rang out around the conference hall.
“The corporate coalition will never allow this to happen.”
“This is a democracy, and unlike a republic, the corporate cartel does not rule us.”
"With a united front, we may be able to confront this threat once and for all."
The idea excited some delegates and angered others.
Ahsoka and Barriss were thankful that Dooku was not present in person. Dooku was only attending the meeting via holographic projection from the safety of Serenno Manor. If he were there, he would have sensed their presence and immediately demanded their arrest.
"Quiet." Dooku's voice echoed in the conference hall. "According to the constitution of the independent system, we need to hold a voice vote. All senators and representatives, please express whether you are in favor of peace negotiations with the Galactic Republic."
Suddenly, the conference room fell silent, and everyone's eyes were focused on the flickering holographic projection of the Count. Dooku also noticed the tense atmosphere.
"What is this-" This was the puzzled sound made by the Secret Sith Lord before the projection was cut off.
“Are we having technical problems?” someone asked, with a hint of uneasiness in their voice.
"No, there's no technical problem," a steady voice replied, "It's just that I'm here."
After a few seconds, a menacing synthetic laugh echoed through the room.
Many people froze in their seats and looked around in horror.
"No..." whispered a senator, who was so nervous that he could hardly breathe.
Suddenly, a sinister voice came from the podium where Dooku had just been: "Oh, isn't this fun?" This sudden voice made the atmosphere in the entire conference hall even more tense.
The Avengers, Naboo Senators, and Jedi Knights nearly jumped out of their seats in surprise, as they were apparently all too familiar with that voice.
"Is this the sacrificial lamb?" The voice had a joking tone, as if mocking some absurd scene.
"If that's the case, it's just the appetizer for the whole meal." The owner of the voice continued, revealing an indescribable confidence in his tone.
Then, a new projection slowly emerged at the location where Dooku had been. It was a holographic image, showing a tall creature made entirely of metal. Under the blue tone, the creature's eyes and mouth flashed a deadly red light, which was intimidating.
"Ultron." Spider-Man whispered the name in a trembling voice.
Ahsoka and Barris instinctively reached out and gripped Spider-Man's arms tightly.
"Everyone from the Independent System Alliance, it's time for us to sit down and have a good talk." The voice in the holographic image was solemn and majestic, as if announcing the beginning of an era.
The people present were filled with anxiety. This mysterious creature, combined with his previous actions in the Milky Way, made them feel unprecedented pressure.
