There was a knock on the door.

The sudden noise made several people in the room stunned, and then everyone's eyes turned to the direction of the front door of the suite.

War Machine looked around and asked with some curiosity: "Do we have any other guests?"

All but one shook their heads. However, Black Widow stood up from her seat and walked firmly toward the front door. The door slid open slowly, revealing an unexpected guest—

"Padmé?" The Wasp exclaimed, "Why are you here?"

The representative of Naboo entered the room with a warm smile and nodded to Black Widow before joining the Avengers.

"I was summoned by Natasha," Padmé explained, walking over to the Wasp and the two embraced warmly. "She told me she had something important to discuss with everyone."

Black Widow then said, "Indeed, Padmé."

As soon as these words came out, Amidala's eyes suddenly widened like copper bells, and her eyes quickly turned to the data board and holographic files that the Avengers were viewing.

"You...you mean, you got the information from Kamino?" she asked, stuttering and incredulous.

Black Widow said firmly: "We did find something, and for you and your allies, the senators, there are still many things waiting for us to explore and understand."

"Wait, wait a minute," War Machine interrupted, "Padmé, did you know anything about this?"

Black Widow nodded, "Padmé was the first one to tell me of the impending attack on Kamino. I discussed the creation of the entire clone army with several senators and her a while ago, and we were not the only ones who suspected their origins."

"So, what did you find?" Senator Padmé asked eagerly.

"Be patient," Black Widow said loudly, and two holographic screens unfolded in front of Padmé. One was a long list that required the Nabua Senator to spend time reading one by one; the other highlighted and magnified key information.

"What on earth is going on?" Padmé asked in surprise after she had glanced through the information. She had only read the text in a few places.

The material is about the clone army, whose subconscious has a list of 150 commands preset that must be executed without hesitation no matter what the situation.

"The clone army has a list of 150 orders embedded in their subconscious that they must follow without hesitation, no matter what," Black Widow revealed. "In theory, this was originally supposed to ensure that no one could abuse the clones with their own agenda and gain more power in the Republic."

Falcon added, “But they are so much more than that.”

Black Panther further states, "More importantly, they were used in emergencies, judging by what we've read about the predecessors of the current iteration of the Clone Army."

"I can more or less understand these special rules, as Falcon and I have been trained to follow these protocols when needed," War Machine said. "But many of the ones listed here... I can't understand them either."

Padmé turned to the others, hoping for an answer.

"Some orders look similar but have subtle differences. For example, Order No. 4 and Order No. 5. Order No. 4 states that when the Prime Minister is unable or unfit to serve as the supreme leader of the Republic, the entire army will report directly to the Vice President until a new Prime Minister is elected or another system is formed. The situation of Order No. 5 is slightly different, but it involves the Chief of Defense Staff instead of the Vice President, and a strategic committee will be formed."

"Order 65 concerns the Senate Security Committee. If the Chancellor is deemed unfit to lead the Republic and the military, the clones will be authorized to arrest or execute the Chancellor and appoint an acting Chancellor from that point on until a permanent replacement is chosen."

Falcon noted that in the best case scenario, these orders are just mild and easy to understand instructions. However, the key problem lies in how these orders are carried out.

"So, how are these orders activated?" Padmé asked with a frown.

Falcon pointed to a second hologram, revealing the presence of the inhibitor chip, "This chip was built into the clones when they were created. None of the clones knew this, but their creators did."

"Is this about the Investors?" Padmé asked, suddenly confused, as she saw Order 13.

"Well, let's skip that for now," Falcon replied. "In fact, some people feel that in most cases, they no longer have to deal with unexpected situations and can just fill in the gaps."

Padmé continued to review the other orders, a look of obvious worry on her face.

"So many orders," Padmé whispered. "Is the purpose of all this to control the clones?"

She found the idea itself disturbing, even morally disgusting. It was hard enough that they had a clone army, like a one-shot human bomb to throw at the Separatists.

"There are even some other emergency orders, which is really shocking. The Wasp Woman said, and the senator saw a look of deep uneasiness.

"What?" Padmé asked uneasily. "What are the orders?"

"There were thirty-seven mass arrests and executions of the local population involving clones, all in an effort to capture a wanted criminal that was under the protection of that population." War Machine mentioned an order, "To ensure that no information was leaked, communications with that system were sealed for a month to clean up and hide the mess."

Falcon looked up and said, "There's another order for the military to basically wipe out a planet world when that planet world changes sides in the war."

Padmé's fear deepened, and she stammered, "Um, sorry, but why is this happening?"

"This is an intimidation tactic, used to deny a vital world from supplying resources to the Separatists," War Machine explained in a more neutral tone.

Padmé quickly retorted, "And yet, we have never heard of a large-scale Republic planet world turning to the CIS."

"At least that's a good thing that never happened," Falcon said. "I thought such orders only worked before war, when many worlds broke away from the Republic."

"Of course there is Order No. 66." Padmé hesitated and asked, "I don't even dare to ask this. What is that order?"

"If any Jedi Knight acts against the interests of the Republic, the Chancellor has the authority to order the Clone Army to execute them and mark them as traitors," Falcon replied.

Daredevil added calmly, "This is the duty of a Jedi."

Hope muttered, "If everyone does this, or someone" decides to "brand them all as traitors..."

Padmé spoke of the possible end of the Jedi Order in a horrified whisper, "No... no. This - that can't - we must tell -"

"Not now, Padmé."

Senator Nabua turned around and stared at Black Widow in wide-eyed shock.

"What?!" she almost exclaimed. "What do you mean not now?! Natasha, are you saying that we can't tell everyone now? Have you forgotten that my husband is also a Jedi Knight and he is in danger right now?"

Scott said casually, "Perhaps this is normal in war." But under Padmé's sharp gaze, he had to restrain himself a little and corrected himself, "What I mean is that we need a more comprehensive strategy and the right timing."

Padmé turned to the other Avengers, anger and pain written all over her face. "Why didn't you tell us now? Or at least tell us earlier?" She pointed out passionately, "Anakin, Ahsoka, Obi-Wan, even the clones, they are all in danger at any time because of these orders."

The Wasp, Daredevil and others stepped forward and said to the senator in a soothing tone: "We are with you, and we are just as worried."

Black Panther added in a calm and cautious tone: "What we need is a more thorough plan. We need to find a way to solve this problem."

Daredevil also pointed out professionally: "Simply talking about these command and inhibitor chips will only make those responsible realize that we already know the truth. This will attract too much attention and may prompt them to take quick action to cover up their actions. They may even retaliate against us in turn."

"So our task is to handle this as carefully as possible. We have to find a balance between protecting our fellows and revealing the truth. It's a challenge, but we have to face it."

Such conversations continued in a tense atmosphere, and everyone understood the urgency of time and the difficulty of the task.

"We need to remove the chips from these clones first," Ant-Man stressed, tapping his fist on the table. "Every time we recover a chip, the control of the person behind it will be reduced by one point," he explained.

Falcon advised Padme, "You should quickly inform your allies and try to prevent more clones from being created. Because once more clones are created, it will be more difficult to solve the problem."

War Machine agreed, "We must proceed with caution and coordinate our actions meticulously." He stressed, "Most importantly, we must handle all of this with caution."

Black Widow said seriously, "The first priority is to plan how to communicate this to the outside world and remove the chip from the clones." Her words revealed a deep sense of responsibility. Padmé heard the deep meaning in their words and couldn't help but sigh in disappointment.

"I will assist you in any way I can," she said. "It will speed up our progress towards ending this war, using the power you give me and my friends."

The Wasp responded in a kind tone, "Don't worry, Padmé, we will find a way to fix this. Your husband will be fine."

Black Widow spoke up, "We better get going, Padmé. I believe you have a Senate meeting to attend."

Padmé nodded and left the room, heading towards her next destination.

They knew that this galactic war had to be ended as quickly and safely as possible, more than ever before.
