Marvel crosses Star Wars, and everyone attacks the galaxy

Chapter 394: Battle against the Master of Mimicry

Black Panther T'Challa deftly evaded his opponent's sweeping kick, using his superior size and strength to perform a backflip upon landing, while watching as the warrior known as Taskmaster easily dodged Captain America's shield attack.

They had never faced this new foe before. In every encounter, this foe seemed to instantly master their movements and techniques, effortlessly copying and anticipating their next attack. Although Spider-Man managed to land a few powerful blows, this advantage did not last long, as Taskmaster was far more experienced than Spider-Man.

The four Jedi Knights Aayla, Ahsoka, Barriss, and Luminara were not spared, and the White Hood dealt with almost all of their dancing attacks. He seemed to have all their moves and skills, and even more.

Even if they tried to increase their arsenal, it would be of no avail. The only thing they could do was to look for a flaw. However, considering the speed of the Cube Master, this was almost impossible.

In just a few minutes, Taskmaster has shown his natural proficiency in T'Challa's Black Panther-style fighting, as well as mixing it up with Captain America's style. At this point, Spider-Man decides to attack again, joined by Ahsoka and Barris. The three of them make some progress together, but everything goes haywire the moment he anticipates Ahsoka's overhead strike.

Ahsoka's wrist was grabbed and twisted, her weapon disarmed. When Barriss tried to help her, she was restrained by the man. Seeing Ahsoka blocking her path, the Mirialan Jedi Knight deactivated her lightsaber in time, dodging the attack as she was mere centimeters from her fellow Padawan.

This series of counterattacks gave Taskmaster an opening, and he grabbed Ahsoka and kicked her towards Barriss.

The whole battle continued in a tense and fierce atmosphere. The two Jedi Knights unexpectedly fell to the ground and were in trouble for a moment.

Then, Taskmaster suddenly turned around with incredible speed and strength, and turned his head to avoid Spider-Man's spinning heel kick. However, unexpectedly, his eyes were covered by some kind of webbed object, causing him to be blinded and confused.

"Oops!" the mercenary cried out, trying to solve the problem at hand, constantly trying to tear off the sticky substance on his mask.

Meanwhile, Ella charged at the mercenaries without fear.

"Good job, Peter," she praised Spider-Man's actions.

Taskmaster ignites his lightsaber and declares, "Even though my view is blocked, I will not stop fighting."

He turned to face Ella who was rushing towards him, and when he was only a foot away from her, he successfully blocked the blue lightsaber she swung.

"That's very impressive," Taskmaster exclaimed. "It's rare that someone could react like that."

Black Panther watched this scene, his heart filled with confusion and frustration. He stood next to Luminara with a frown on his face.

"How is it possible that he is still fighting us?" he whispered.

Luminara closed her eyes, looking thoughtful, and reached out her hand to sense the Force.

As Captain America and Spider-Man join the fray, aiding Ayla in her fight against the man, the mercenary begins to retreat as he is surrounded by enemies coming from all sides.

After a moment, Luminara opened her eyes and fixed the man with an unflinching gaze. "I know this is not a mistake," she announced to the Jedi. "This man has the Force."

"Does he have the Force now?" Black Panther asked doubtfully, his eyes narrowed slightly.

Luminara nodded affirmatively, "Yes, we must get rid of him now before he continues to hinder our battle."

Upon hearing this, the black panther rushed forward without hesitation and ran on all fours.

Meanwhile, Taskmaster found his chance and tore himself free from his three opponents, using his longsword to cut through the webs that blocked his view. Fortunately, his helmet was made of lightsaber-resistant metal, preventing him from feeling the heat of the blade.

The Prince of Wakanda saw this and came up with a plan. "Everyone, listen up," he shouted, "Be ready to act together when I launch the attack."

He quickly rushed towards the enemy group, passing Captain America and Aayla, and then launched a flying kick at Taskmaster, but the latter blocked it with his shield arm. A fierce battle was once again launched. During the fierce battle, Prince T'Challa was roughly pushed away by a group of mercenaries. He was in the air and did a backflip before landing in a crouching position. He engaged in a fierce offensive and defensive exchange with the armored mercenaries. Black Panther used his enhanced physiological functions to cleverly stay ahead of Taskmaster's copying attacks.

Suddenly, Black Panther discovered a flaw. He performed a gorgeous somersault and quickly reached out with both hands to catch Taskmaster's yellow lightsaber. His strength was so great that the lightsaber remained motionless in his grasp. Taskmaster, under the mask, tried to pull his weapon back from the Prince of Wakanda, but he was surprised to find that it was impossible.

At this moment, he realized that he was in trouble and almost forgot about the other opponents he was fighting. At this moment, a shield flew like lightning and hit his head accurately. This sudden blow made him stunned for a moment, staggering and almost unable to stand.

Ahsoka, Barris, and Aayla rushed forward, and together they surrounded Taskmaster, causing him to crash into a nearby wall. At the moment of hitting the wall, he didn't even have time to notice a small device was thrown at his chest. After a short beep, a spider web quickly expanded from the device, binding him tightly and making him unable to move.

"Okay, we caught him!" Spider-Man cheered excitedly.

"Well done, Spider-Man," a nearby clone also praised.

As they formed a circle to ensure Taskmaster could not escape, the mercenaries themselves were in a state of distress. They had to admit that the battle they had just experienced was undoubtedly one of the best battles of their lives. Facing a Jedi-like opponent was certainly challenging, but what surprised them even more were the three warriors wearing strange costumes and possessing even stranger abilities.

One of the warriors holding a shield showed an unprecedented fighting style, while the black-tech animal-themed warriors and spider web warriors opened their eyes.

They had heard of the Avengers before, but had never taken them seriously. In the past, they were either busy carrying out missions or thought it was just a propaganda trick of the Republic. But now, after seeing it with their own eyes and experiencing it in person, they deeply felt that they were wrong.

This battle made them re-recognize each other and themselves, and also made them full of expectations and confidence for future battles. These people are unique and completely different from any opponents that the Master has encountered before. They are not all enemies, but deep down in his heart, the Master longs to fight them again. He knows that he can't just give up at this moment.

At present, a brand new challenge is waiting for him, which makes him feel more excited than ever before. No, he screamed in his heart, he was eager to fight with these Avengers again. He firmly believed that the prison walls could not restrain his fighting spirit.

He loudly demanded, "You think this will stop me? Think about it again."

As soon as these words came out, they immediately attracted the attention of everyone present. At this moment, the sensitive perceiver of the Force caught the subtle changes in the air.

The Master of Taskmaster quickly mobilized a large amount of the Force from his restraints, as if a huge cocoon was untied, and his body began to float in the air. Surprisingly, not only the Master of Taskmaster, but also the people around him were affected by this force, and they were shocked and confused.

"Huh—what—" "I can't move!" people exclaimed.

As time passed, the air began to fluctuate at an erratic frequency.

Captain America yelled, "Action!"

Because he and his companions Black Panther and Spider-Man were not bound by this sudden change in the Force.

At the peak of the Force, the Master of Mimicry let out a deafening roar, and at the same time a powerful backlash of the Force burst out from him.

The force flung everyone away, either into each other, or into surrounding obstacles, or even into the distant wall. When he stood up, Taskmaster had broken free of the ropes that bound him and was breathing heavily.

As much as he hated using such a draining Force ability, he had no choice. He couldn't be captured or killed. All he could do now was escape and recuperate if he could. Fortunately, more Separatist droids were entering the fray.

Taskmaster quickly retrieved his sword and, using the battle droids as cover, began his escape.
