Marvel crosses Star Wars, and everyone attacks the galaxy

Chapter 354 Everyone’s Pain Is Different

Celeste Morn was busy instructing Strange on Kamar-Taj, and when Celeste froze suddenly, he immediately noticed it and looked up at her.

“Celeste?” Stephen noticed her expression turn worried. “Hey, is everything okay?”

"I... I don't know. The Jedi felt her heart suddenly tighten as only one thought entered her mind.

"Bucky," she said to herself.

Returning to where Bucky was, the man nodded, taking in everything in his mind, what the Winter Soldier had said to him.

"Very good. Now sit here until you come to terms with your current situation," he said, standing up.

"Пohrл (Understood)."

The man nodded, left the scene, got in his car and drove away.

When Bucky returns to normal, he searches frantically for the man, but can find no trace of him.

He felt a cold sweat running down his forehead and a nauseous feeling began to surge in his heart.

“No.” Bucky was shaking violently. “God, please don’t. Not again.

……

Doctor Strange has made rapid progress since his "trip" to the top of Mount Everest.

In "letting go" of his ego, as the Ancient One put it, Stephen felt a kind of awakening from within.

He was now beginning to master the spells quickly, even better now than most of his fellow initiates who had been here much longer than him.

The only person who keeps up with him now and actually teaches him stuff is Celeste Moen.

Stephen wanted to learn about every subject that interested him, and for a while he was a regular visitor to the Magic Library, absorbing everything like a sponge.

It was almost like his time in college.

The only difference between then and now is that he has magic. Under the supervision of the king, he often uses the space ring to "borrow" books, and uses astral projection to read more and more books while he sleeps.

After the King kicked him out, he had to train more carefully in the mirror dimension to curb his rapid progress. Stephen didn't mind, just another place where he could experiment with his spell work to a certain extent.

In the present, Strange is on his way to talk to Celeste about something he's been reading again, when he hears someone in her room with her.

It's easy to guess who it is, though.

"Again?" he heard Celeste's deep voice.

"I just..." came the distraught voice of Bucky Barnes. "I just want to get some sleep. This is too much."

“What do you remember?

"He's... about our age. Caucasian, wearing a trench coat. I don't know if he's a Hydra, I don't think I've ever seen him.

“What does he want?

Strange heard no response at first, then he heard some kind of mumbling, and straining his ears he managed to make out a few words from the last words.

"...Remnant, 16, 1991.

“One of your missions against Hydra, I accept.

Hydra? Did he hear that correctly?

In addition to the history books, he also remembered something in the news not long ago. SHIELD's files were leaked to the Internet for everyone to read and digest. From various sources, people decrypted and reported that Hydra has been active since World War II. It stated that the organization founded by the Nazis had infiltrated SHIELD and did a lot of things behind the public eye.

So what's Bucky's connection to them?

“Hey, hey, Bucky, honey, look at me.”

Strange didn't see what was inside because the door was still closed.

"You know I'm here for you, right? Just like I did for me when you first found me. Whatever you're going through, I'll be there for you to help you through it, just like you did for me.

Hearing this, Strange subconsciously reached for his left wrist and remembered that he had left his watch in the room.

He recalled standing in front of a building and a woman in fancy clothes walked out.

"Christine..." the Doctor thought darkly.

The two of them had been together for several years, and it was definitely the best time of his life.

However, his pride got the better of him and he drove his girlfriend away, ending their relationship.

What's even more awkward is that they still work together in the same hospital and have some interactions after they just broke up, which makes it even more unbearable.

He honestly didn't know what would have happened if his ego hadn't driven a wedge between them. Would he still be happy with her and a better person? Would he have never gotten himself into the accident that cost him both of his hands?

This is the universal and cosmic question of “what if”.

Strange sighed and turned away from the two, not wanting to interrupt their moment together so he could get some advice later.

His ego ruined a precious relationship in this life.

He would rather not do that anymore.
