Marvel crosses Star Wars, and everyone attacks the galaxy

“It’s definitely not in the training regime.”

"Why not? We're still fighting robots.

"It's now clear that this bastard named Ultron is not an ordinary robot."

"Shut up, Five."

The clones of the 501st were currently standing in the firing range, firing at the fast-moving target while the others watched on.

Really, it's not just clones from the 501st, but actually a hodgepodge of clones from every legion.

The multi-armored, colorful clones were interacting with each other, many of them were injured, and some had their armor singed.

They were all currently at the Jedi Temple base, which had a large war room specifically used for meetings.

The room was occupied by senior clone troopers from all the battalions and legions currently stationed on Coruscant. They all sat around a holo-table, deep in discussion with one another.

"This war... has taken a turn none of us expected. The first to speak was the clone Captain Rex.

A series of advanced clones murmured and whispered among themselves. All of them gathered here for the sole purpose of dealing with the omnipresent threat of Ultron and the rapid changes on the entire warfront.

"So what are we going to do?" Commander Gerry of the 41st Legion asked loudly. "Last time I checked, these 'Ultron drones' are not in any of our robot archives."

"Let's start with what we know." Cody began, activating a holo-table that showed several Ultron drones in flight. "These drones aren't built the way the Separatists do. They're more maneuverable, have a tendency to swarm, and can transfer arms into weapons.

The clones all nodded as the commander gave the drones detailed instructions.

"For them, the response time might be quicker this way."

“Their flying was also a big factor,” Gerry added. “We didn’t have someone like Colonel Rhodes or Lieutenant Wilson to assist us in the fight.

"Captain Rogers did mention how they were attacking all over the Avengers' home planet," Rex said, before he fell into deep thought.

"So what is our best course of action?" Commander Wolfe asked those who had not yet spoken.

"I think we need a whole new training regime," Clone Commander Bakara said. "Take everything the Avengers know about these drones and give it to us, and we will learn how to fight off these new metal lumps."

"It's going to be training camp again for all of us," Commander Bligh complained.

"Even worse is the situational battle," Rex added. "We need to consider all conceivable battlefields. Ultron has made it clear that he can attack at any time and in all directions."

Looking at the wreckage outside the window, all the clones felt a severe challenge.

"Then let's get started while we still have time." Arcfordo stood up from his seat and placed his hands on the table. "We will create the necessary training manuals and scenarios and disseminate them throughout the military. Any comments?

"No, sir!"

"Then let's get started."

Meanwhile, as the clones began preparing for a new training regime, the Jedi Council was holding another meeting, with all members in person.

"The Senate has been in an uproar," Mace Windu said slowly. "Another organization has chosen to secede from the Republic."

"Who is it this time?" Obi-Wan asked calmly.

"Umbara," Windu said grimly. "With them, there are now fifteen organizations that have chosen to leave the Republic."

"Many people seem to have lost confidence in us." Pro Kong said in a low voice.

"There are more on the Separatist side," Kit Fisto said. "I recently received information from Master Torm's intelligence network. Some Separatist factions have been openly discussing whether to cooperate with the Republic.

"It seems that some people have chosen to remain neutral," Kenobi said. "The Mandalore Duchess Satine and a hundred other star systems are spearheading a neutrality movement in the galaxy, wanting to disassociate themselves from this war."

Ki-Adi Mundi shook his head in disapproval.

"Maybe it can be separated from the war. But can it be separated from Ultron?

"Not sure, for now." Yoda spoke now, commanding the council's full attention. "The Force... is clouded, it has become. Neither light nor dark. A haze, at best.

"This is not surprising," said Jedi Master Depa Billaba. "Based on what we know about our allies, the Avengers, and this new threat, Ultron, they exist outside of the Force. How can we predict what will happen when something orbits them?"

"We have been very lucky before." Master Ceci Ting whispered. "We have gathered a group of extraordinary people who have chosen to help us many times. It can be said that with them, the development of things is turning in our favor."

"But they didn't mention Ultron," Windu said sadly. "If they told us about him--"

Obi-Wan immediately cut in. "That is not something they could know, Master Windu. Ultron is an enemy they have long considered to be defeated and destroyed. How could they realize an enemy that could be hidden within the data itself?

Yoda spoke again, "A deep sense of loss, confusion, and... anger. Anger at the order, anger at oneself. The pain of failure and the defeat within, felt by many of the Jedi.

“I feel there is still much work to be done,” Shaak Ti said, her voice calm and collected. “On Kamino, news of Ultron’s attack has left the Kaminoans and trainees deeply uneasy. So we have reason to fear that Ultron will turn his sights on this planet next, and perhaps even destroy it.

"That's not going to happen," Plo Koon said.

"How can we be so sure?" Oppo Rancisis grunted. "This Ultron has proven to be extremely intelligent and dangerous. He drove the Separatists and our forces off the planet Jabium.

“There were rumors that he had left there,” Mundy said.

"This information is barely credible," Obi-Wan said. "Remember, this isn't the usual Separatist droid we fight. This is... As the Avengers call it, this is a biologically based AI. In addition to a more logic-focused side, there are emotional motivations behind his actions."

"From what I've been told, it's not pleasant," Kitto Festo said, shaking his head.

"A great shadow hangs over this war at present," Yoda said, his expression thoughtful. "The Force... there is only so much it can do for us. Yes, threats outside the Force are becoming more prevalent.

"So what's our next move?" Windu asked.

"We must rest," Yoda announced, surprising everyone on the council.

"Master, are you sure you want to do this?" Depa asked in disbelief.

"Uncertain, the Jedi are. Uncertain, the Republic is. Fear, it has taken root, across the galaxy. Yoda said in a serious tone. "A turbulent and uncertain future. We are at a standstill. In order to recover, we must take advantage of this opportunity."

"Where's Captain Rogers?" Obi-Wan asked. "He's still missing."

“I’m not sure we have the time or energy to find out where he is right now,” Mace muttered.

"Still, we cannot just abandon him to his fate," Plo Koon said firmly. "While a lot has happened in the past few days, we owe a great debt to the Avengers. Many battles have been won with minimal casualties, thanks in large part to their efforts.

“Those who remain here have taken it upon themselves to help many on Coruscant,” added Kito Fisto.

"Help them find Captain Rogers, we will." Yoda said decisively.

"The question remains where to look," Kenobi said.
