Marvel crosses Star Wars, and everyone attacks the galaxy

“He may have the planet, but he didn’t take all of its people with him,” Rogers declared. “That’s where we can at least beat him there. We need to focus on getting the native inhabitants and all of the troops we managed to bring here off this world. Ultron may have won the planet, but he hasn’t defeated us.”

"How can you say such a thing?" Anakin growled in frustration. "We actually lost, didn't we?"

“What’s important is that we get everyone off the planet,” Steve shot back with fiery passion. “It’s not about winning a battle, because if that were the case, we’d have already lost it the moment we got here.”

“Though I have to agree with you, Steve, our troops are exhausted. Ella reminded, rubbing her arm. “If we’re going to do this, we need to be smart about it.

"I have a plan," Steve said, walking over to a nearby holo-table and activating it.

After a few moments, several maps of Jabiim appeared, with multiple areas highlighted and instantly pinpointed.

"From what the scouts told us, Ultron's forces are concentrated here." Steve pointed to the map on the right. "This is where a large amount of metal ore is stored, which is unique to this planet."

"It looks like he's already working on it," Anakin almost growled.

"That's where we attack," Steve said, silencing the gathered crowd.

"What?!" Anakin yelled. "Steve, are you—"

“You guys are responsible for the evacuation, getting everyone off the planet.” Steve interrupted. “The Avengers will take care of Ultron.”

There was an eerie silence.

"Captain Rogers," Rex said, eyes wide. "You can't."

"I can, and I will," Steve said, uncharacteristically fierce. "I'll do it alone if I have to. Ultron is a calculating bastard, but he's made of a human mind. That means he has emotions, weaknesses. He hates the Avengers, and has wanted us dead since the beginning. That's what we're going to exploit. He's focused on us. You all leave this world."

The silence that permeated the room was so thick.

"You can't complete this suicide mission without me, Captain." Sam spoke after a while.

"I'll tell Rhodes the plan." Black Widow said, standing up from her seat.

"I'll help, too," T'Challa said, nodding to his companion.

"You really can't do this. Anakin stepped forward.

"I couldn't agree more." Obi-Wan said with a look of disapproval. "Steve, this mission is a suicide mission."

"What's not dangerous about our job?" Steve shot back with a humorous smile.

"Anakin, aren't you the most suicidal Jedi?" Sam couldn't help but ask, and Anakin's brow twitched.

"I'm bold and reckless, not crazy, and... well, I can be crazy, but not suicidal. Skywalker is under a lot of pressure.

"This is our enemy." Quicksilver said in a relatively neutral tone. "That means we have to fight first. We'll keep an eye on Ultron while we get people out of this hell.

Anakin declared, "There's no way I'm going to let you go in here like this and expect to die saving us all."

"Anakin, you-" Obi-Wan was then interrupted by Aayla.

"No, Anakin, you stay here and focus on the evacuation." The Twi'lek Jedi said. "We don't need all the Jedi to go to one place.

"But--"

"No, but." Aayla said viciously. "Think of your Padawan, Skywalker."

Anakin flinched at this and looked over his shoulder, but Ahsoka didn't seem to hear the words.

She was next to Barris, who was still treating Peter, and the two were talking in low voices.

Anakin felt a familiar hand on his shoulder and turned to look at his Master.

"Look, I'm just as unhappy about this as you are. Trust me. As much as I want to help Rogers and the others, we need to focus on the primary situation at hand. Obi-Wan said calmly.

The Jedi sighed in fatigue and slight defeat.

"Okay." Anakin said reluctantly, then glared at Steve slightly. "But you better come back alive.

"I'm sure you'll get what you want," Steve said amiably.

Shoulders slumping, Anakin simply nodded.

Steve walked up to Peter and spoke to the two Padavas sitting next to him.

"Do me a favor and take care of him."

"Does this need to be said?"

Barriss just responded silently that she completely agreed with Ahsoka.

As she focused on healing Peter, she thought back to what she had witnessed earlier with Cas and Mark. How close they had been. And their assertion about not wanting to leave each other.

Olive green Padawan wondered if something like this would ever happen to her... and Peter—

No! She couldn't think about that. She had to focus on healing him.

"Barris," came her friend's soft voice beside her.

She looked up and saw Ahsoka's concerned face.

"Are you OK?"

She blinked at the question, then automatically reached out with her free hand and gently squeezed Ahsoka's own.

"I'll be fine," Barris said quietly.

A second later, Ant-Man walked in and immediately turned to Steve. "Captain."

"Scott. How's Hope? Is she okay?

"Concussion," Scott said wearily. "But she'll survive."

Steve sighed softly. "Okay, okay."

"What's the plan, Captain?"

"Suicide mission, man," Sam began.

"Every available member of the team is going to go out and help take down Ultron," Steve said.

"Now that Hope, Matt, and Peter are injured, our manpower is a little limited."

"When haven't we?" Scott couldn't help but ask.

Steve hummed slightly and patted the man's shoulder in gratitude. "Yes. Avengers, let's get ready.

The base occupied by Ultron has quickly been transformed into a mining facility as thousands of drones are working to extract the planet's metals for Ultron.

While he had access to a variety of war resources, the ore that Jabimu possessed was particularly durable and strong.

Because it is called Kwadhan Steel.

A rare metal scattered throughout the galaxy, Jabium is one of the planets that possesses it.

This will make it easier to build more warships and drones.

From what he had recently pilfered from Palpatine's archives, his scientists were getting closer to creating a synthetic plating derived from Kwadan steel. Making the armor plating of their ships far stronger than before would be a boon to fleets of all kinds in the coming years.

Ultron plans to build something very ambitious based on what he has read.

But the only problem was that he couldn't find any information about the development of Quadan Steel. For security reasons, Ultron suspected that the files and databases were kept in closed servers or data packages that were isolated from anywhere else.

Whatever this was, Palpatine was doing his best to make sure only a few people knew what the project was.

Ultron was tempted to bring it up the next time he spoke to the old man, just to see what other reactions he could get from there.

Who knows, maybe it could be -

*Bang*

In his digital mind, Ultron blinked and watched the loud explosion followed by a series of others at the mining station.

The blue-white eyes of one of the drones turned red, and it looked up to see some familiar figures, all of whom had come down from a helicopter gunship flying overhead.

A few more followed, and out came some yellow-marked clones that showed up at his doorstep and were attacking his property.

Transforming to his normal ten foot tall body, Ultron couldn't help but roll his eyes. "Looks like I have some unexpected visitors."

Activating the thrusters, he hovered in the air and took off.

"It's time to say hello to them."
