Marvel crosses Star Wars, and everyone attacks the galaxy

Luminara and Greely were flying low over the area west of where the Republic ships were stationed. After crossing a ramp, the two stopped their speeder and searched the area for any clues as to the whereabouts of Poggle.

Using her binoculars, Luminara spotted something. Zooming in, she saw a box-like object.

"150 kilometers southeast."

Gerry looked in Luminara's direction and saw a rather unusual object. He was about to report it to the others when the two heard thrusters in the air. Looking towards the source, Gerry and Luminara saw the war machine swooping down towards them. Both instinctively backed away to give the Colonel some room to land. The Terran slowed his descent and landed near them.

"Well, hello there." War Machine said, his helmet retracting to reveal his grin. "Mind if I join you two?"

"Colonel Rhodes." Gerry said respectfully.

"Hey, Gerry."

"Rhodes." Luminara raised an eyebrow. "Why are you here? What's the matter?

War Machine waved his hand. "No, not really. Just thought it wouldn't be safe for the two of you to be out here alone. This place isn't friendly to us, to say the least."

Gerry nodded in agreement with War Machine.

"I like the idea, Colonel," Luminara said softly. "But are you sure? I'd rather you not waste your energy on a simple reconnaissance mission.

"Finding the Separatist leader is no simple reconnaissance mission," War Machine pointed out. "You're going to need some help. I've got a sandstorm in the sky, and it's heading our way."

This made the Jedi and the clone a little nervous. "Are you sure?"

"Yes." War Machine pointed ahead. "Look there."

Gerry and Luminara stared ahead, and sure enough, there was a large cloud of dust in the distance, clearly getting closer.

"Then we'd better hurry," Luminara said, getting back on her speeder. "Gerry and I found something we want to check out."

War Machine nodded, put his helmet back on, and Gerry got on his speeder. The three of them went down the cliff to a lone box-like object in the middle of the desert.

War Machine took the lead in checking the suspicious targets, "Food and...some garbage.

Gerry also walked over to check it out, while Luminara contacted Kenobi and Captain America.

"General Kenobi, Captain Rogers, ah, Master Mundy, it's a pleasure to meet you."

"Luminara," Mundi greeted, his holographic form bowing. "How's the search for Bogle going? Any progress?"

"We haven't found anything on him yet, but we found something that looks a little fishy." Luminara showed them the lone box lying in the sand. "It appears to be some kind of ammunition box. There was no fighting in this area, so it seems unlikely to be some kind of debris."

"What the hell is this?" War Machine muttered loudly.

"It looks like Bogle has been here." Gerry said.

"He's heading directly into the direction of the upcoming Desert Storm." War Machine said with half-opened eyes, he turned to Luminara. "What's that direction?"

"The Temple of Progate, if I remember correctly."

"But why did Bogle go there?" Mundi asked loudly. "That area was heavily bombed by our ammunition. There is nothing there. There should be nothing worth Bogle going back to."

"Pray to whatever deity he worships, for good luck or something." War Machine guessed. "If not, then there may be something else going on near that location that we don't know about.

"From what we've seen, that place doesn't look like anything." Captain America said, and a holographic display of the temple appeared on his side. "Maybe there's something there that we don't know about."

“Whatever the case may be, we need to continue following Bogle’s trail.

"But a sandstorm is coming, what should we do?" Kenobi asked.

"If you can get in touch with my Avengers card, then you can locate us," War Machine said.

"That's a good idea. It's going to be difficult if we have to find you three and Bogle at the same time.

"Then I wish you good luck."

As the transmission ended, the three quickly took off and headed straight for the sandstorm.

War Machine flew directly above the sandstorm so that he could at least try to see the intended path the three were taking. To make sure he didn't lose the location of Luminara and Commander Gree, he used the suit's sensors to see their forms in the storm.

"Are you sure, Lumi?"

"Yes, I—what?"

"Lumi. Short for Luminara.

Gerry was certainly lucky, his helmet blocked out the sandstorm, but it couldn't hide his smile.

Luminara gaped slightly, then to avoid filling her mouth with sand, she made no response to War Machine's words.

"The temple is not far away." Luminara said quickly.

She picked up her pace and continued walking forward, and Gerry did the same to keep up with her.

War Machine was forced to descend into the sandstorm in order to catch up with his allies as they began to approach the Temple of Geonos. When War Machine landed at the main entrance of the temple, he saw that the Droid Tank and several Droids had been destroyed; no doubt abandoned by Poggle.

After entering, he saw many strange statues inside the temple. As the sandstorm outside intensified, War Machine had an ominous premonition.

"Hmm... that's not scary at all," War Machine said, holding up his hands. "Let's wait here and see if anything creepy jumps out."

Gerry shifted uncomfortably and tightened his grip on the rifle.

Luminara gave the Colonel a slightly annoyed smile and pulled out her transceiver.

“Master Kenobi, we tracked Bogle to the Temple of Progate,” Luminara told him, “but there is no sign of him.

"Don't go any further until we send backup," Kenobi ordered. "We've barely been able to track you. It's only thanks to Rhodes' card that we know you're still together.

"Are you sure he entered the temple?"

"Yes, we saw the robot tank parked outside." Luminara looked back and saw the cover of a portal in the floor was half open. "From the looks of it, he may have entered the underground space below.

"Those underground spaces are huge, we can walk for thousands of meters." Obi-Wan said, shaking his head. "I think we may have lost him. Get out of there and return to the ship.
