Marvel crosses Star Wars, and everyone attacks the galaxy

Just as the two Jedi girls were at a loss as to how to comfort Spider-Man, another Earth-born native placed a friendly hand on Spider-Man's shoulder.

"Peter." Captain America looked down at his fellow New Yorker.

Peter was momentarily stunned to be so close to one of his idols again, but he was slowly getting used to it now.

"Hey, Captain," Spider-Man said cheerfully, "What are you doing here? Do you need anything from me?"

"No." Captain America shook his head, "I was just looking for you. I just wanted to see how you were doing. Ahsoka, Barriss, it's nice to meet you two."

"Captain Rogers," Barris greeted respectfully.

"Hey." Ahsoka was very casual.

"How are you two?" Captain America asked. "Did you finish your training?"

"Yes," Ahsoka said proudly. "Just wait, Captain. We'll be Jedi Knights before we know it."

"We will make our Master and the Jedi Order proud," Barriss said firmly.

"Well, if that's the case, Luminara and Anakin will be very happy." Captain America said amiably.

After they greeted each other, Spider-Man asked the question he had wanted to ask for a long time, "How long have you two been in the temple?"

"I don't know," Barris responded.

"If I remember correctly, I came here when I was three years old," Ahsoka replied.

Cap and Spider-Man looked at the two young Jedi girls, unsure how to respond.

Spider-Man asked tentatively, "Like, your parents and family have always been here, or...?"

"I am an orphan," Ahsoka said. "I never knew my parents. Master Plo Koon found me, brought me here, and made me a Jedi Padawan when I was old enough to begin my training. Without him, I would have been a slave."

"What about you, Barris?"

"Like I said, I know nothing." Barris said thoughtfully, assuming a thinking posture.

"You're going to be Jedi Knights your whole life?" Spider-Man asked.

The two Jedi apprentices nodded without hesitation.

Captain America suddenly asked, "What do you mean by 'when you were brought here'? Did your parents bring you here?"

Barriss shook his head, "No, the Jedi found me and discovered my strong connection to the Force. Soon after, I was brought to the Temple to begin my life."

"But do your parents agree?"

"No, I never knew who my parents were. I've always been here, in the temple."

Captain America and Spider-Man looked at each other.

Cap had been here for nearly a few weeks now, a few months now, and out of respect he had never really asked about the Jedi Order and how they acted, other than their duties and such.

However, learning that Ahsoka and Barriss have basically been Jedi since they were toddlers was a little unsettling for the World War II veteran.

"Is..." Spider-Man wasn't sure if he should ask this question, "Are all Jedi brought to the Temple at such a young age?"

Ahsoka could sense that Captain America's mood had changed, and she became nervous because of it.

"Most of them are like this," Ahsoka said carefully. "There are some exceptions, but most are brought to the Jedi Temple as infants or very young."

"Okay." Captain America said with a frown, a hint of anger in his tone.

After saying that, Captain America left with a gloomy face, leaving the three confused teenagers standing there a little awkwardly.

Cap stormed off, a storm brewing in his mind as he kept thinking about how the Jedi had been taking babies and toddlers from their homes and bringing them here. Why? When did this start?

He had to figure this out.

Turning a corner, Captain America found the person he was looking for.

In the hall, he saw Obi-Wan Kenobi, Aayla Secura, and Terra Sa talking.

Although he didn't want to do this, it really bothered him, but Captain America still moved forward with determination.

The female Twi'lek Jedi saw him first and said with a friendly smile, "Captain Rogers."

Cap gave her a forced smile and nodded to Terra and Kenobi.

"Is everything all right, Steve?" Obi-Wan asked. "You seem troubled."

Captain America looked at the three of them, hesitated slightly, and said, "Do you mind answering some questions for me?"

They could tell Cap was a little upset, and Terra Sa said, "Of course. What were you thinking about?"

"Look, I don't want to come across as rude. But I discovered something recently and wanted to clear it up with you guys."

The three were now even more confused, but remained silent, allowing Cap to continue.

"Doesn't any of you know who your parents are, or were you all brought into the Jedi Order as infants?"

The Jedi was stunned by the sudden question.

"What brings you to ask this?" Terra Sa asked softly.

"Please answer me."

The three of them exchanged glances, and Obi-Wan said cautiously, "Yes. The three of us were brought into the Jedi Order at a very young age."

Captain America tensed up, staring at Obi-Wan with sharp eyes, and asked softly: "Why? Are you an orphan? A slave? What brought you to the Jedi Order?"

Ella asked in a low voice, "Why do you ask that, Captain Rogers?"

"I just wanted to understand. But now, this surprises me," Captain America said.

Then he said seriously: "Taking children away from their parents, keeping them away from their parents and never knowing them is very offensive and controversial. I don't think the Peace Keepers would do such a thing."

"It's not that simple, Steve," Aayla said firmly. "This is a complicated matter, and the Jedi Order has good reasons for doing this."

"The Jedi Order does not suddenly remove children from their homes," Terra said calmly. "I know you may not like this answer, Captain Rogers, but the reason we recruit these children has to do with the emotional state of those older ones."

This made Captain America a little confused, "What does that mean?"

"To be a Jedi is to do one's duty to the Force and the Republic," Obi-Wan said, sounding as if he were recalling an ancient scripture. "In this duty, one must not be swayed by emotion, lest one be threatened with being consumed by it."

"If you need some explanation, the rules of the Jedi Temple should explain it well." Aayla recited the Jedi Code, "No need for passion, calm the mind. Do not follow ignorance, obey true knowledge. Do not indulge in lust, be calm and clear. Do not fall into chaos, be harmonious. There is no destruction, only the power of the force."

Captain America stared at the female Jedi, thinking about what she said, then said, "No emotions? How could anyone believe that? Are you telling me that you're all emotionless shells? Robots?"

This scene was beyond the expectations of the three Jedi. Most importantly, this was another side of Captain America that they had never seen before. In the past, he always gave people a pleasant and very friendly impression, and he always acted modestly enough. However, if you think about it carefully, Captain America has shown a strong sense of morality and ethical justice during several missions.

Obi-Wan said carefully, "Steve, because attachment and emotion, an unpredictable and uncontrollable force in itself, can and has led many a Jedi to the dark side."

Aayla added: "This is something that has been around for centuries, the reason the Jedi remain aloof is so they can better protect others without attachment."

"Do you really believe it?" Captain America asked.

Terra Tha remained silent for most of the moment. She sighed and said, "Master Kenobi, Aayla. Please allow me to speak to Captain Rogers alone."

"Are you sure, Master Sa?" Ella asked with concern. She could feel the conflicting emotions emanating from Captain America at the moment and hoped to do something about it.

"Trust me, Ella," Terra Sa said with a small smile, "I believe I can best help Steve understand the Order. After all, I am centuries older than all of you."

Although Ayla wanted to protest, Master Sa's lighthearted tone eased some of her worries.

Terra Sar finally left with Captain America. As soon as they were out, Terra let out a tired breath and gave Captain America an understanding look.

"I'll be honest with you, Captain Rogers, I have many different opinions on the Jedi Code and its rules myself," Terra Tha said.

Cap blinked, completely caught off guard by the open way in which someone who always seemed so calm and radiated serenity would speak.

"Come with me, Steve. I believe that if you want to better understand the Jedi Order, I should tell you more about myself." Terra Tha said.
