The entrance exam question for Teikyo College, one of the four major colleges in the Saxon Empire, this year was just to ask the candidates to stand up. This request sounded so simple that no one would believe it.

But standing for a long time under double gravity and without any end time limit is not that easy.

For Jacques, who has been exercising hard since childhood, this level of gravity is something he can easily handle.

He looked around and saw Bella twisting her body impatiently, as if for him, the biggest test was more "heavy" than "dull".

"Bella! Don't move! We don't know how long this exam will last, so it's better to save your energy!" Jacques reminded.

"Oh, boss! I can't do it anymore... It's so boring and painful to just stand there and do nothing..." Bella put her hands on her neck and strangled her, pretending to be suffocated.

Jacques gave the right remedy: "This is a challenge! A challenge for 500 people! Whoever moves will lose! You will challenge the king of mankind in the future. If you lose to these ordinary candidates now, are you willing?"

"Oh! Of course I won't! I can't lose!" Bella immediately stood at attention, as straight as a bamboo pole: "I won't even blink! Let's see how you can beat me!"

"...That's not the case. Your eyes will dry out. No one asks you not to blink. You just need to stand still!"

Before we knew it, an hour had passed and the first candidate who could no longer hold on appeared.

A boy bent over and suddenly fell to the ground as if he had lost all strength. The place where he was sitting suddenly turned into quicksand, swallowing up the candidate in a few seconds. Then the ground returned to its original state, as if nothing had happened.

"It seems that the space here has changed. It is no longer the real world." Jacques guessed.

"Good, you figured it out so quickly." Gandalf praised: "This is a fantasy space. I guess there will be more changes in the next test."

Then another two hours passed, and more and more candidates could not hold on and were eliminated, leaving only about two-thirds.

"Boss..." Bella opened her round eyes: "Why do I feel like I've become shorter?"

"Huh?" Jacques took a closer look and saw that Bella had indeed become shorter, with his head now only reaching his waist. Jacques quickly looked around and found that many of the candidates had become short and fat.

"Boss, you're starting to get shorter too!"

Jacques looked down and found that his ankles had sunk into the ground without him knowing when, but he didn't feel anything at all, which was very strange.

"It's not that I've gotten shorter, it's that the ground beneath my feet has turned into quicksand!"

"Wow! What's going on?" The candidates began to notice this change and started to panic. Some of the frightened candidates began to struggle, but the result was naturally that they got deeper and deeper into trouble.

"Bella! Don't move, listen to me! This is quicksand, the more you struggle, the faster you will fall! This is a test of courage! Stay standing, or you will lose!" Jacques reminded loudly.

"I won't lose!"

In fact, Jacques knew that this was not a test of courage. Standing still would not change anything. He just wanted Bella to be as calm as possible before he could think of a solution.

"Whether we move or not, the final result will be failure. The academy wants to test our ability to respond!" Jacques came to the conclusion after a little thought.

He began to look around, trying to figure out how to deal with it by observing other people's situations.

Soon, he noticed that some of the older candidates seemed to be sinking slower than the others. They were only in the quicksand up to their knees, while most of the other candidates, including Jacques himself, had sunk to their waists.

Jacques observed again, and finally found that among all the people present, there was only one figure whose back was slowly rising...
