Fantasy Game: Infinite City

Chapter 62: Kawau Prefecture (2) Ito Family Residence

"Pfft!"

Han Zu, holding Saori, fell into chest-deep water after a short fall. The huge splashes caused by the impact with the water surface wet Han Zu's clothes and blew his hat away.

Before Han Zu could see his surroundings clearly, he saw several rope-like black shadows flying towards him at a rapid speed. However, they encountered great resistance. Not only did they not cause any harm to Han Zu, but they were completely crushed by something in Han Zu's body. However, this reaction was not under Han Zu's control, and he did not know what this thing in his body was.

Han Zu's eyes turned pitch black, and the blood vessels around his eye sockets also changed color. Han Zu's face now looked like a possessed person.

"Your eyes, sir?"

"Normal, don't worry about it, let's find a place to go ashore first."

"Your hat..."

"It's lost, it's not important."

Carrying Saori, Han Zu relied on the special sensing ability of this body and walked towards the shore. This place was more like a pond than a well. Han Zu could feel something swimming past him in the water, and occasionally something would hit him.

"Saori, there's something in the water, catch it."

Saori waved her fingers, and an air sickle appeared beside Saori, shot into the water, hit something, and flew out of the water in a spin.

"Fish? How can there be fish in the well?"

“Maybe when we were digging the well, we connected to an underground river?”

"No, after we stopped, the water surface was still, which means this is dead water with no source. Since there are fish here, and they are real fish, not monsters, it means someone is raising them."

Han Zu quickened his pace and quickly left the well and walked onto the shore. He looked back at the place where he had fallen, and there was still light shining down, which meant that the well mouth was not sealed.

Looking back, Han Zu looked around. This seemed to be a huge naturally formed cave. After just a brief observation, Han Zu came to the conclusion.

This is not Fuso, it just looks similar.

Fuso is an island country, and its unique geographical environment makes it impossible for natural caves of this scale to appear. According to the information Han Zu had obtained before, the game cabin of Infinite City is actually some kind of strange transmission device, which means that the Fuso people, whose country has become a wasteland, rebuilt part of Fuso somewhere, and judging from the length of the previous train route, the place is not small.

Although Han Zu has not seen any other living people except the Onmyoji and the men in suits before, according to Saori, there are living people in this place.

Han Zu looked at Sazhi meaningfully, which made Sazhi feel a little uncomfortable.

"What's wrong, sir? Why are you...staring at me?"

"You should get off me now."

"Oh, sorry sir."

Han Zu continued to look around and continued to move forward in a certain direction.

After walking for a while, Han Zu discovered that there were a large number of man-made structures above the cave. They were used to reinforce the dome of the cave. There were many traces of repairs on the structure, and some looked very new.

Continuing to walk along the center of the man-made structure, soon a traditional Fuso-style mansion appeared in front of Han Zu. The exterior wall of the mansion looked a little old, but judging from its cleanliness, it should be inhabited by people.

I walked to the gate of the mansion, which was opened from the inside. Judging from the muddy shoe prints on the gravel road in the yard, the people inside must have left, and left in a hurry. There was a sign hanging on the wall on the left side of the yard, which read "Ito".

Entering the yard, there are some stone lamps on both sides of the gravel road in the yard, with yellow light inside. When you get closer, you can see that they are not candles or lamp oil, but some light bulbs. The light from these lamps is not very bright, and can only illuminate the range of the gravel road, not the entire yard.

Following the gravel road, Han Zu and Sazhi came to the building in the yard. Under the platform in front of the sliding door of the building, they saw several clogs placed randomly. The shoe prints on the gravel road were inconsistent with the clogs. They looked more like cloth boots worn by Onmyoji. It seemed that there should be someone in the building.

Han Zu also took off his military boots in front of the stage, but not out of courtesy, but because they were soaked with water and uncomfortable to wear. Saori also took off her shoes and walked onto the stage.

One of the sliding doors was a little damaged. It was probably because the person inside was in a hurry to leave and accidentally damaged the paper on it, leaving some holes. The door was open, and Han Zu and Saori walked straight into the entrance of the house.

There were a few Fuso talismans scattered on the cabinet next to the entrance. It looked like they had fallen there accidentally. I continued walking forward. The lights in the house were on and I hadn't had time to turn them off.

Unlike the dim courtyard and the cave outside, the interior of the building was very bright. Many rooms had lights on and sliding doors open. I took a casual look around and saw some decorative handicrafts on the small table in the corridor and some Ukiyo-e paintings hanging on the wall.

Most of the open rooms contained useless things, including some samurai swords, talismans, Onmyoji's magical instruments, and some kimonos, all common things.

Han Zu did not deliberately conceal his presence. His clothes were still dripping with water, and the water droplets hit the wooden floor, making a dripping sound. His footsteps were also bold, and they occasionally made noises as they stepped on the wooden floor.

Perhaps unintentionally, or perhaps intentionally to attract the attention of people in the building, Han Zu coughed a few times, but no one appeared. Han Zu walked through the corridor and came to a relatively large room. In a corner of the room, there was an armor display rack with a warrior's red armor on it. In the middle of the room was a large low table with a large number of photos and documents on it.

Walking to the table, Han Zu looked at the things on the table and suddenly saw an interesting document with a photo.

"Saori, go to the next room and find two pieces of clothing. My clothes are soaked and I don't feel well."

"Yes sir."

Saori turned and left. Han Zu shook the water off his hands, took off all his wet clothes and threw them aside. He stood naked in front of the table with his back to the door, blocking the documents on the table.

"Sir, clothes..."

"Just put it here, go change in another room."

"Yes."

Saori put a simple gray kimono on the ground beside her, closed the door and walked out, then went to another room to change into a clean set of clothes.

Han Zu turned around, picked up the kimono and put it on without putting on any underwear. He tied the belt and checked the document with the photo on the table that had just attracted his attention. He took a look at it, folded the document and stuffed it into his waist inside his clothes.

"Sir, are you ready to change?"

"Well, come in."

Han Zu looked at the other documents and photos on the table. The things recorded on them were strange and not adjacent to each other. But generally speaking, they were detailed information of some people, some curse rituals, and strange exorcism methods, but they had nothing to do with each other.

"Sir, I was just in the changing room and found a locked door. There is a barrier on the lock and I can't open it."

"Go and have a look."

Following Saori, Han Zu came to the locked door. Han Zu walked over and stretched out his hand to touch the lock on it, but a wall of air stopped Han Zu's movement.

"Stand back a few steps."

"Yes, my lord."

Han Zu pressed the air wall with one hand and clenched his other fist. He stepped forward, twisted his waist, and threw a right punch, smashing it hard. There was a loud bang, so loud that the sound could be clearly heard throughout the building and even in the yard outside.

"You can't do anything else, you can't do anything else."

The system popped up a prompt full of garbled characters. Han Zu punched again, attacking the air wall, and the system popped up the same prompt again.

"It should be indestructible. Saori, you and I should spread out and look for any important information or objects that don't fit in."

"Yes, my lord."

Saori turned and left, heading to another room.

Han Zu stood in front of the air wall, took out an "Extermination Order", smoked a cigar, and waited until Saori walked away, then took out the document he had hidden from his waist and read it carefully.

"Ito Saori, there is indeed something wrong with her."

The photo on the file was of a woman in a school uniform. From her outline, she looked exactly the same as Saori before she had her face transplant, just a little younger.

"There really wasn't anything hidden at that station, so why was she there?"

I continued to look at the file. At first it was some irrelevant personal information, but the following things gradually became interesting.

"So that's what happened."

After reading all the information, Han Zu lit the documents in his hand with a cigar and slowly watched them burn to ashes.

"Ok?"

Han Zu's body's special sensing ability discovered that Saori seemed to have left the building through a corridor on the side of the building and went to the yard. Han Zu lowered his pace and followed quietly.

Coming to an unlit room at the side door, Han Zu's eyes became dark again. He quietly opened the window a crack and observed Saori in the yard.

Saori walked to a corner of the courtyard wall, and a weak cyclone suddenly appeared beside her. A moment later, a samurai in a blue kimono appeared beside Saori.

The samurai seemed extremely respectful to Saori and handed something to her. Saori quickly put the thing away and whispered a few words in the samurai's ear. The samurai nodded and disappeared again.

Saori looked around and found nothing unusual, so she quietly walked towards the building. When she entered the building, she smelled the aroma of cigars and couldn't help but get nervous.

"Did he find out?"

Saori followed the smell of the cigar and saw Han Zu rummaging through something in a room across a corridor from the side door. He had a cigar in his mouth that looked like it had just been lit.

Saori looked around the room. It was impossible for her to be seen from here that she had just left. Saori breathed a sigh of relief and walked quietly to other rooms, deliberately making some noise.

Saori took out a jade pendant from her arms. This was the thing that the samurai had just handed to her. Saori took the jade pendant and walked a few steps in the room. Under the decorations on a shelf, she took out a talisman and made a seal with one hand. The talisman turned into some transparent powder and attached to the jade pendant. From the outside, there was no change.

Sazhi poked her head out of the room and looked in Han Zu's direction. Han Zu was still searching in the room and didn't pay attention to her. Sazhi turned around and came to a small cabinet in the room. She quietly moved the cabinet away, opened a secret compartment at the back, put the jade pendant in it, closed the secret compartment, and moved the cabinet back, deliberately exposing part of the secret compartment.

Saori seemed to be very familiar with this building. She knew many special locations and what was inside.

She randomly flipped through some things, made some noises on purpose and messed up the room. After waiting for a minute or two, Saori called Han Zu and said that she seemed to have found something.

"What did you find?"

"I found a cabinet in this room that had been moved, and there seemed to be something behind it."
