Fantasy Game: Infinite City

Chapter 120 Gunners and Monsters

Terry and Han Zu kept some distance between them, about two or three meters apart. Terry did not let his guard down just because he had knocked the spear out of Han Zu's hand. He did not think that without the spear, Han Zu would not be a threat.

The two men paced clockwise in the middle of the hall. Terry's eyes were fixed on the guy opposite him, ready to fire at any time.

Han Zu on the opposite side launched the attack first, striding towards Terry, swinging the machete in his hand. Terry found the right moment and fired two shots. His shooting was very accurate, and all the bullets hit Han Zu's wrist holding the knife. Terry thought that since he could knock the spear out of Han Zu's hand, he could also knock the machete out of his hand.

However, although Han Zu's hand wielding the machete was changed in direction by the strange and powerful impact force and was unable to chop out, and his body also staggered due to the impact force on his arm, but unlike the spear, the machete was still tightly held in his hand without any looseness.

Han Zu quickly adjusted his pace and strode towards Terry again. In Terry's opinion, Han Zu's attack was completely disorganized. He just used brute force to swing around randomly and was not very sensitive to pain. Since Terry could not see at night, he thought Han Zu's wrist had been shot, and he didn't know that the bullet did not cause any harm to Han Zu at all.

Continuously firing, Terry fired several shots at Han Zu's wrist holding the knife, but the machete was still not knocked off. Terry thought that Han Zu might have used something to wrap it around his hand.

In Terry's mind, although the monster on the opposite side was thick-skinned and tough, it was a fool who could only use brute force to hack around. Terry believed that as long as he was more careful, he could quickly kill the monster.

Terry fired two more shots, hitting Han Zu's right leg. Han Zu lost his balance and knelt on one knee. Terry took this opportunity to step back a few steps and quickly reloaded the bullets. After reloading, he was ready to shoot again.

“Whoosh… bang! snap!”

However, Han Zu, who was not far away, suddenly threw out the machete in his hand. Terry was not in a hurry. He raised his gun and shot, hitting the machete that was flying towards him. The bullet hit the machete, making a friction sound. The machete, whose direction was changed, spun rapidly in the air for several circles and then stuck into the wall next to it.

While all this was happening, Terry saw that the monster on the opposite side also rushed over and quickly closed the distance with him. Terry had no time to change the position of the muzzle of his gun. The monster on the opposite side pushed away the lever rifle with his left hand and quickly punched towards Terry with his right hand with great force.

It has to be said that Terry's fighting skills were very high. He did not panic, but tilted his head back to avoid the punch. He took his left hand away from the rifle and quickly reached for the holster at his waist, pulled out a sawed-off double-barreled shotgun, and placed it against the chin of the monster in front of him.

"boom!"

He pulled the trigger suddenly and two buckshot bullets were fired at the same time. Dozens of steel balls, pushed by gunpowder, hit the monster in front of him at close range. The powerful impact made him float in the air for a second or two. Terry was not idle either. The lever rifle in his right hand was freed. Terry fired with one hand and hit the monster in the chest before it landed on the ground, causing it to fly back a few steps and fall heavily to the ground.

With one hand, he turned the lever rifle around, reloaded it, and ejected the shell from the double-barreled shotgun. Terry took a few steps back again, put the rifle on his back, quickly replaced the bullets in the double-barreled shotgun, then put the holster back on, picked up the rifle again, and aimed at the monster lying on the ground.

"Bang! Bang!"

While firing cautiously, Terry approached the monster lying on the ground. After firing two shots at the head and chest, Terry came to Han Zu. However, to be on the safe side, Terry kept the muzzle of the gun pointed at Han Zu who was lying on the ground.

He poked the fallen monster's face several times with the muzzle of the gun, but he didn't move and looked like he was dead. Terry didn't leave in a hurry, but faced him, slowly stepped back a few steps, and picked up the spear that fell on the ground.

Picking up the spear and turning the crank to retract the spear head, Terry walked back with the spear in hand and fired a shot at the fallen monster's chest. The sharp spear head pierced the monster's skin and also penetrated the not-so-strong floor behind him, nailing him to the ground.

Seeing this scene, Terry finally laughed, revealing a sinister smile. He threw down the spear gun, held the lever rifle and continued to walk into the building, shouting towards the empty manor.

"Old Morris! Come out! I've killed your dog! As long as you hand over the ceremony drawings, I'll spare your life!"

Terry looked very happy, as if his conspiracy had succeeded. Without his men's witnesses, as long as he found old Morris and killed him, no one would know about the resurrection ceremony.

"It's a pity that Zeman was scared away by the so-called ghost. If we had killed him earlier, no one would have known about it. It seems that after killing old Morris, we have to find a way to trick him back. Maybe old Morris's funeral is a good excuse."

“Kala-la…Kala-la…”

Terry suddenly heard some noises, which seemed to come from the first floor hall. It was probably the sound of something crawling on the ground. Terry frowned, this was not a good sign.

"Isn't that guy still dead?"

Terry immediately turned around with the lever rifle and returned to the original path. When he returned to the hall, he found that the monster lying on the ground was gone, and there was a bloodstain on the ground extending to the basement.

Holding the gun, he walked cautiously along the blood trail and found a spear gun lying on the ground not far from the basement entrance. The chain connecting the spear head and the gun body extended into the dark basement stairs.

Terry picked up the spear, turned the crank, and retracted the chain. Fortunately, the feeling of blockage on the chain proved that there should be someone on the spear head. It seemed that the monster he had released was not completely dead and struggled to crawl here.

As the crank became more and more difficult to turn, Terry's idea was further confirmed. He leaned back, stepped on the corner of the wall next to him for leverage, and with some effort he completely retracted the chain of the spear. However, what was hanging on the spearhead was not the monster he had killed before, but two halves of his men's bodies tied together with wire.

Terry realized something was wrong and immediately dropped the spear in his hand. He tried to pull out the rifle on his back, but he couldn't. Turning around, he saw that the monster he had knocked down before was standing behind him, grabbing his lever rifle, so he couldn't pull it out.

“Click! Click!”

The monster roughly tore off the strap of the lever rifle, then broke the rifle in half and threw it on the ground beside. The monster quickly approached Terry and stretched out his hand towards him, looking like he wanted to grab him. Terry quickly kicked the monster in the abdomen to distance himself, then pulled out the double-barreled shotgun from the holster and fired without hesitation. However, the effect this time did not seem very good, and it only pushed the monster back a few steps.

This time the monster in front of him would not give Terry time to reload. Terry threw the double-barreled shotgun in his hand and smashed it into the monster's face, but he slapped it backhand and it flew away. However, Terry also took this opportunity to create some distance again and pulled out a revolver from another holster on his chest.

"boom!"

Terry's shooting skills were very accurate. Although the environment here was very dark and he could only see the rough outline, even so, Terry still relied on the outline to hit the monster's forehead not far in front of him.

Terry quickly thought of a countermeasure in his mind. The monster in front of him was difficult to deal with, and he didn't know where old Morris had gone. He might even have left the manor during the fight. So it didn't seem to be a wise choice to waste time with this monster.

While thinking about countermeasures, Terry fought and retreated, all the way to a gap in the wall that had been blown up before. The moonlight shone in, and it was much brighter here than other places.

With the help of moonlight, Terry saw half of a wooden handle sticking out of the bag on the monster's waist. Based on his previous experience, Terry quickly realized that the bag should contain those wooden-handled grenades and explosives.

Quickly reloading the bullets, Terry fired a shot to stun the monster, then kicked it hard in the chest. He then quickly retreated, flew backwards, turned around and fired two shots, accurately hitting the bag around the monster's waist.

"boom!!!"

The bullet successfully detonated the wooden-handled grenade, and the explosion of the wooden-handled grenade in turn triggered the explosion of the explosives. Amid the huge explosion and fire, Terry was blown away by the shock wave and went outside the manor.

Quickly getting up, Terry reloaded his gun and ran towards the gate of the manor. Soon he was not far from the gate of the manor. Terry remembered that when he was searching the attic of the main building of the manor, he saw a figure doing something here. Terry quickly stopped.

"It should be that monster. He should have set up a trap with grenades here. I have to be careful."

Looking behind him, the monster didn't chase him. After the previous lesson, Terry felt that the monster should not be dead. He was not so easy to kill, but the violent explosion just now might be able to delay some time.

Terry picked up some large rocks and threw them towards the gate of the manor, hoping to eliminate the traps in this way. Although this method was slow, it was still effective. Terry quickly cleared a safe route and prepared to leave.

"Boom!"

The sound of metal rubbing against stone slabs was approaching rapidly from behind. Terry turned around and found that the monster was not dead. He was chasing after him. His clothes had been torn to pieces by the previous explosion. He was holding a machete and a spear, and was chasing Terry angrily.

Terry fired back two shots, and turned to flee without any intention of fighting, but the sound of air breaking behind him stopped him again. The monster behind him threw the machete at him again.

Terry turned around again, aimed at the machete that was flying towards him at high speed, and shot it away with one shot. But at the same time he fired, another gunshot rang out, and the spear in the monster's hand also fired at the same time.

"boom!"

Terry was not too far from the monster, but the length of the spear's chain was still the limit, so although the spear caught Terry off guard, due to the length limit of the chain, Terry only had his leg scratched. This minor injury was not a big deal for Terry. He emptied the magazine towards the monster that was retracting the chain, and took the opportunity when he was staggered. Terry quickly retreated, reloaded, and ran away while paying attention to the movements of the monster behind him. At this tense moment, Terry heard the monster behind him, speaking angrily in a language he could not understand, as if cursing something. (Usually with the help of the system, players can speak the native language of the area in the dungeon.)

"Fuck you! You can't run, you can't jump, but your shooting skills are damn accurate! You shot the machete I threw at you, and I told you to shoot! You try to shoot this, you bastard! Ask, ask, ask, I can just go find those three bastards myself, ask your mother! Die!"

Terry was horrified to see that the monster behind him suddenly put the spear back on its back and picked up a fragment of a collapsed huge stone statue from the side. It should be the original decoration in the manor. The huge stone statue fragment was thrown towards him by the monster behind him, and the flying speed of the fragment was even faster than the machete before.

Terry dodged the stone statue fragment by leaping to the side. Not long after he got up, another piece of stone statue fragment flew towards him again. Terry quickly rolled to avoid it, but the monster behind him seemed to have lost its mind for something, and all kinds of building debris flew towards him like crazy.

Under the intensive attack, Terry could only temporarily hide behind a big tree outside the manor. A large amount of debris, construction waste, and stones fell beside him, and even a gardening tree was kicked off and hit him.

But not long after, the attack stopped abruptly. Terry quietly stuck his head out, only to find that the monster at the previous position had disappeared at some point.

"Where did he go?"

Terry was about to stick his head out again from the other side of the tree trunk where he was hiding. This time he heard footsteps. Terry gathered up his pistol and fired two shots in the direction of the footsteps, but the sound he heard was like the bullet hitting a stone.

Terry stuck his head out and saw a statue's monument base rapidly enlarged in front of his eyes. It was this thing that blocked the bullet. Terry quickly flew in the opposite direction and avoided the flying base, but this also made him lose his cover and come to the open space next to him.

"Kick!"

A foot stepped on his chest. The heavy metal boots and the force from them made Terry unable to move. Terry raised his revolver and wanted to fight back, but the machete chopped off the wrist holding the gun.

Terry was quite strong. Losing his wrist did not make him scream. He looked up and looked at the monster who was stepping on his chest and whose pants were blown into shorts. His expression was very ferocious, as if he was suppressing his anger. Soon, a hoarse and low voice sounded.

"I'll just ask once, where did those three people go?"

"You're dreaming if you want to pry something out of my mouth!"

"Then eat the bullet, you bastard!!"

The monster thrust the spear into his chest, lifted Terry up, and then pulled the trigger hard. The spear went through Terry's throat and out of his mouth. Retracting the spear, Han Zu cut off his head and hung it on the metal belt around his waist. To be honest, the quality of this belt was really good. It was blown up by explosives once before, and there was not even a scratch on it.

Han Zu lifted Terry's body and kicked it away.

"Pretend, pretend and I'll let you fly."

The traps inside and outside the manor have basically been triggered. Han Zu plans to go back to the basement to replenish some things and then look for the player who ran away before.

After packing up his things, Han Zu passed by the kitchen on the first floor of the manor and saw a pair of overalls and a long leather apron hanging on the wall. He spent some time using them to replace his tattered pants. Han Zu prepared to leave the manor and go out to look for the three remaining players.
