HP Shavings Wizard

Chapter 84 Interrogation

This cunning child, as always, will make excuses for himself, making it impossible to argue with him, as if he has a silver tongue.

Professor McGonagall sighed helplessly. She turned to look at Dumbledore, only to find that he was looking at Alison thoughtfully.

Of course, the old headmaster soon withdrew his gaze and looked at Professor Quirrell to comfort him.

"Quirinus, you should go back to class first."

Professor Quirrell crawled out of the auditorium as if he had been pardoned. His funny appearance made the students laugh.

Dumbledore was silent for a moment, then turned to look at them.

"Let's go back to the office."

……

Back in the headmaster's office, Dumbledore sat behind his desk, motioning for Alison and Harry, who followed him, to sit down as well.

Snape also went to the headmaster's office with the truth serum.

Dumbledore took the truth serum and looked at the expressionless and tense young professor.

"Thank you for your hard work, Severus."

Snape snorted coldly and said nothing. His sinister and dark eyes were fixed on the dull fat rat in the cage.

Dumbledore opened the cage and dumped the rat inside onto the table.

Alison interjected animatedly.

"I think it should be placed on the ground. It's too indecent for a fat, short, old, ugly man to lie on the principal's desk!"

Dumbledore laughed, looked at the exquisite and beautiful silverware on his desk that was emitting white smoke, and obeyed the suggestion.

The old headmaster waved his wand, and the counter-spell caused the mouse on the ground to twist and struggle, and turned into a short bald man.

The man shrank under the sudden sharp gazes of Dumbledore and Snape, twisting his hands and avoiding their gazes.

He was a very short man, not much taller than the two little wizards.

His sparse, lusterless hair was disheveled and there was a bald spot on top of his head. His timid look, pointed nose and watery green eyes made him look somewhat like a mouse.

The man glanced at them, breathing rapidly, and Harry saw his eyes flickering toward the door.

Dumbledore sat in his chair, looking down at the man.

Before Peter opened his mouth to beg for mercy, Alison sobbed in an exaggerated and dramatic way. She took the lead in dubbing, and her affected and sarcastic appearance was quite comedic.

"Oh, Professor Dumbledore, Severus, and Harry~ You won't believe what others say~"

"I don't know what you are talking about. I hid because I was afraid~"

Harry, who was originally full of hatred, was completely upset.

Snape glanced at Alison expressionlessly, obviously thinking that her behavior was very childish.

Dumbledore didn't know whether to laugh or cry. He clapped his hands, signaling Alison to be quiet.

Alison blinked obediently, picked up the Sorting Hat and put it on her head, then hugged the old phoenix Fawkes on the shelf and curled up on the sofa to watch the show.

Dumbledore looked at Peter again. Those beautiful and majestic blue eyes made it impossible to lie in front of him.

"Peter, you can tell the truth now."

Peter trembled, he raised his head, his eyes were full of fear and despair. Being interrupted by the little red-haired wizard, it was even more difficult for him to say the same words of begging for mercy.

Dumbledore sighed.

Snape picked up the truth serum on the table and roughly forced Peter to drink a whole bottle.

Peter's eyelids trembled a few times, and he opened his eyes with a dull look. He took a deep, trembling breath, and then, in an emotionless and flat tone, under the accurate questioning of the old principal, began to tell him about his experiences and mental journey in detail.

During the time when Voldemort was powerful, the Potter family was hunted by him for some reason.

Peter, who was also targeted by his companion, was easily subdued by the Dark Lord. Voldemort forced Peter to be his spy, collecting intelligence for a year, and as a true secret keeper, revealed the Potter family address.

"The dark magic of that dark lord was too powerful. I was terrified at the time. I was never as brave as James and the others. He would kill me, so I gathered intelligence for him."

Dumbledore continued to ask.

"Did you do everything Voldemort asked you to do?"

Peter nodded with a blank look in his eyes.

Alison was not as angry as the others involved. She looked at Peter with an indifferent attitude.

To be fair, she liked Peter better than the other three members of the Marauders—from the perspective of a superior in the evil camp.

Such subordinates can be easily ordered around for free with things like life, threats, and fear.

In order to survive, he is determined, ruthless, and intelligent. As long as you still have deterrence, he will conscientiously help you deal with most things.

As a wizard, although Peter was not as dazzling as Potter and Black - he was just an inconspicuous follower among the four - but the fact that he could learn Animagus already made him considered middle-class in the wizarding world.

The other three...

Even though her tone sounded as if she empathized with Harry when she was provoking his emotions, she actually always felt that those three people had a kind of silly beauty in her heart.

James, who was a very smart guy, directly refused when her father suspected that someone around them had leaked the secret and wanted to be the secret keeper of the Fidelius Charm himself.

In order to show how much he trusted his friend, he directly designated his friend as the keeper of the secret, and bet the lives of his family of three on his friend not leaking the secret. In the end, he lost miserably.

Sirius, the smartest number two, made a temporary replacement when finally deciding on the secret keeper, and it happened to be a traitor among them who had defected.

As a result, no one believed him when he went to hunt down the traitors, and he went to Azkaban in despair, almost completely forgetting that his good brother had an orphan who needed care.

Lupin, the smart No. 3, is slightly better, but he still fails from time to time and does stupid things like forgetting to take medicine or taking a walk under the moon - he is a werewolf.

She never knew to confess to her father some key information that several of them had practiced illegal Animagus. Even if the other two were smart and didn't trust her, after all, her father had protected this werewolf, so he deserved a little gratitude, right?

In short, in the eyes of those in power, these three are extremely difficult characters who can do a lot of fancy things and lead everyone into a trap.

Only her father was a good person with a good temper. If it was Voldemort or Alison, facing such a person who was more likely to cause trouble than to help, they would have cast a killing curse on him long ago.
