HP Shavings Wizard

Chapter 45 Dating

They walked quietly along the road to Hogsmeade.

Until Dumbledore said awkwardly: "...Are you okay?"

Grindelwald glanced at him. "Not bad."

Dumbledore smiled gently: "That's good."

They chatted as they walked along the paths of Hogsmeade together, stopping occasionally to admire the scenery.

Hogsmeade village is really nice. It is a rare destination for wizard travel. It is surrounded by typical Scottish Highlands features, with picturesque scenery and bright sunshine.

In fact, the afternoon sun in midsummer is quite hot, just like that summer, it was so hot that it was almost scorching.

Grindelwald suddenly stopped and looked at Dumbledore.

Dumbledore also stopped and asked, "What's wrong?"

Grindelwald looked at Dumbledore and called out the nickname that they had used when they were young, just like a child calling his friend by a nickname: "You have changed, Al."

Dumbledore was slightly stunned, then smiled: "Yes, we have all changed."

Grindelwald shrugged. "But we're still best friends, aren't we?"

Dumbledore said nothing, but gently stroked his old, wrinkled face.

Grindelwald sighed: "…Al, you know what I've been saying."

Dumbledore was silent for a moment. "I understand what you mean, Gale, but I cannot."

Grindelwald smiled bitterly and said softly: "Albus, I have never been so disappointed."

"........."

Dumbledore opened his arms and embraced him gently.

Grindelwald silently hugged Dumbledore back, and spoke after a long time: "Al, you are really stubborn."

Dumbledore released him and smiled.

“Sometimes I hate my own stubbornness.”

Grindelwald snorted, "But we all know you won't change."

Dumbledore patted his shoulder and comforted him gently: "At least, we are still with each other."

Grindelwald suddenly raised the corners of his lips, and that familiar expression of arrogance, happiness and wildness returned to his face.

"Yeah, we always get back together, don't we?"

Dumbledore also laughed: "Yes, and we still have plenty of time."

Grindelwald held out his hand, and Dumbledore took it.

"..."

Grindelwald raised the corner of his mouth and tried to say: "At least, we can still accompany Alison."

Dumbledore nodded, his blue eyes full of tenderness.

"Yes, at least, we can watch her grow up."

As expected…Al had already figured it out and was just cooperating with Alison in his performance.

Grindelwald couldn't help laughing.

That little bastard Alison still hasn't realized that her disguise has failed.

There was no way she could be expected to fool Albus.

"…Al, how did you know that?"

Dumbledore gave a mysterious and cunning smile: "Intuition, a father's intuition about his daughter."

Grindelwald shook his head. "That's a rather perfunctory answer, Al."

Dumbledore winked playfully, but didn't say that he had gone back a few days ago and carefully searched his memory with the Pensieve because it looked familiar, and then looked for the Broken Blood Alliance he had collected before based on his guess, but couldn't find it.

It was indeed a little unbelievable that he and Gellert had a daughter. If he didn't have the instinctive inspiration and intuition of a top wizard, he might have subconsciously ignored it because he and Gellert were both wizards and had never had any contact with each other.

That kid was quite smart and courageous. He knew how to use his blind spots to show off in front of him, and he also had ways to interfere with the display of his real name in the Book of Access.

"Well, maybe it's because she looks a lot like me when I was a kid."

Grindelwald also laughed: "That's true, she looks exactly like you when you were a child."

Seeing his admission, Dumbledore gently adjusted his half-moon glasses, narrowed his blue eyes slightly, and began to get to the bottom of the matter.

"Gail, what was your plan with Alison before...?"

Grindelwald, who was being questioned, looked at him innocently, trying to protect the cute little secret: "What's the plan?"

Dumbledore raised an eyebrow, "Don't be stupid, Gale. You know what I'm talking about."

Grindelwald looked at Dumbledore and smiled happily again: "Then guess?"

Dumbledore frowned, his tone and expression serious.

"Gail, this is no time for jokes!"

Alison's performance was too dangerous.

Although he had only praised Alison for her intelligence before, it did not mean that he ignored Alison's dangerous and ambitious provocation and powerful magical talent.

What’s important is that even someone as insightful as Dumbledore couldn’t see the purpose behind Alison’s actions.

Alison's chaos, indifference, arrogance, innocence and curiosity are all real, and he cannot peel out Alison's essence from this complex reality.

"I must know the truth!"

Grindelwald shrugged and beat around the bush with him, "Okay, Al. But I can only tell you that we do have something planned."

Dumbledore narrowed his eyes. "What is it?"

Grindelwald smiled slyly, "Then I can't tell you, Al. This is our secret."

Dumbledore tried to demand.

"Gail, you should know that Alison is my daughter too. I have the right to know your plans."

Grindelwald raised his eyebrows smugly, revealing a mischievous look of glee.

"No, you don't. And you wouldn't understand even if I told you."

Dumbledore sighed in annoyance and anxiety: "Gail, I know you always have your own ideas. But Alison is only eleven years old, she is still a child."

He even suspected for a moment that Gellert was trying to make a comeback and had bewitched their daughter first, but Gellert's relaxed, mischievous attitude dispelled his worst thoughts.

However, this feeling of being out of control was somewhat uncomfortable for Dumbledore, who was accustomed to being in control of the situation in Britain.

Grindelwald shrugged and comforted his old lover with a smile, but still kept silent: "Al, I know what you are worried about. But don't worry, Alison is very smart, she knows what she is doing."

"..."

Dumbledore was silent for a moment, compromised, and did not continue to ask. They were the same kind of people. If they didn't want to tell a secret, they would really take the secret to the grave.

"I'll keep a close eye on her."

He promised.

Grindelwald smiled meaningfully, as if he was looking forward to a good show. "Then I wish you good luck, Al."

Dumbledore sighed helplessly: "I will do my best, Gale."
