Chapter 300 Madame Maxime

Led by the old principal, everyone applauded to express their warm welcome.

The curious little animals stood on tiptoe and stretched their heads to get a clear look at the tall, rare foreign principal.

Madame Maxime walked towards Dumbledore, her eyes inevitably sweeping over the Hogwarts faculty and staff.

Her gaze lingered on Alison and Grindelwald beside Dumbledore for a moment, slowly matching the people with the information she had previously learned.

When she glanced at the others briefly, she was startled by Hagrid, who was almost as big as her. A hint of surprise flashed across her eyes, but her face remained elegant and dignified, without showing any expression.

When she was in front of Dumbledore, her face relaxed and broke into a smile.

A large hand covered with opal rings and bracelets stretched out of its own accord.

Dumbledore was actually quite tall, but the half-giant was almost twice as tall as him.

The old headmaster did not need to bend down, but could follow the basic etiquette of the hand-kissing gesture, and symbolically touch the back of Madame Maxime's hand with his slightly closed lips steadily, naturally and neatly.

The key to this kind of hand-kissing is to make it seem like you didn't kiss at all, which is polite.

It is mainly used by men to show respect to married or older ladies. In formal indoor occasions, when meeting for the first time, the woman will extend her hand first before the hand-kissing gesture is performed.

Madame Maxime nodded to Grindelwald, whom she was not familiar with - this old devil could not be regarded as a simple professor.

The principals of both sides exchanged brief greetings.

At the beckoning of the dignified and elegant Beauxbatons headmaster, twelve young men and women who met the age requirements and were apparently nearly adulthood got off the bus and gathered behind their headmaster, their faces filled with awe.

The huge shadow of their principal in the light almost completely enveloped these slender men and women.

Because the school uniforms were made of silk, although smooth and soft, they were very thin. This caused their bodies to shiver slightly in the cold outside, but they still tried their best to maintain an elegant posture that was very suitable for the French - dead appearance, but they would never embarrass Beauxbatons under the curious eyes of other people in Hogwarts around them.

Alison felt that these guys were very nervous, and that Madame Maxime seemed to be quite popular among the students...

Daunted?

Although Dumbledore often has a dignified and elegant side, children will at least laugh and play in front of him and not be too restrained.

He himself would smile, be humorous and childish, and directly say that he was a crazy old man.

The two soon talked about another school that they had not visited - Durmstrang.

"Drmstrang hasn't arrived yet?"

The Beauxbatons headmaster frowned slightly and asked this.

The headmaster of Durmstrang was replaced a few months ago.

The familiar Igor Karkarov was replaced.

Of course, most decent wizards don't like Karkaroff.

Karkaroff is a Death Eater.

After Voldemort disappeared, in order to escape punishment, he betrayed many of his colleagues. Then, under the negotiation involving the interests of various forces, this man changed himself, lived in a foreign country, and even became the headmaster of Durmstrang.

But bad habits die hard, and this guy is selfish and has no principles.

He even encouraged fear and intimidation among students, as if the Death Eater habits were ingrained in their bones.

Durmstrang is the darkest of the eleven most famous magic schools in the world. It has a controversial reputation because it teaches dark magic.

Especially after a certain alumnus dropped out.

Alison glanced furtively at Grindelwald.

This person's contribution to his alma mater is really inappropriate.

He is truly the radiance of Durmstrang.

However, Karkaroff was no less deplorable. After the dark period brought about by the second headmaster who once taught dueling and various martial arts and magic courses at Durmstrang and was full of martial ethics, Karkaroff's Death Eater behavior brought about a second dark period.

Many parents took their children out of school and ran away overnight.

After all, it is a famous school in Northern Europe! If they can run away, you can imagine how bad the learning environment is.

It should be a good thing to replace this guy.

But Madame Maxime was wary of the new principal there.

Because he was a saint - a core saint, an "old man" who had participated in Grindelwald's various terrorist actions in the past.

If it were in the Muggle world, he would have been a Class A war criminal who had been shot a thousand times, with only bullets left on his body without any flesh or blood.

Just as a vicious wolf left, a fierce tiger came.

"It will probably be just a moment. I will be here any moment," Dumbledore replied simply. "Would you like to meet him here, or would you like to go in and warm up first?"

Madame Maxime turned her head slightly to look at the students behind her who were shivering with cold.

"Let's go get warm. Besides, those Pegasus..."

Seeing Professor Grubbly-Plank coming forward with Hagrid, she shut up and her skeptical look disappeared.

The pair of black eyes, as big as beetles, looked at Hagrid curiously, and he roughly guessed in his heart that this person was a half-giant like himself.

That strength is definitely enough to take care of those fierce giant Pegasus.

Because the giants have been killing each other, the number of female giants is quite small. And there are even fewer female giants who can mix with humans and give birth to mixed-blood children.

Those obvious alien features will make children of mixed alien blood unpopular in human society, and they can only use lame lies to cover up their bloodline - they are even more excluded among aliens, because giants are generally 6 to 7 meters tall, but these mixed-bloods are only more than 3 meters tall.

Although Madame Maxime actually did not want her hidden identity of a giant hybrid to be silently reminded by such a similar existence, she was still a little curious when she saw a rare creature of the same kind.

If nothing unexpected happens, people like them will end up lonely for the rest of their lives...

Hagrid's gaze had been fixed on Madame Maxime since she came out - he had been paying attention to the Pegasus pulling the carriage with joy and excitement.

The key keeper and gamekeeper of Hogwarts had a flushed face and a dazed expression, and his black eyes, which were as big as beetles, were misted as he looked at the elegant woman of the same kind, as if he was drunk, or as if he was looking at his beloved furry "little cuties".

He hadn't even paid much attention to what Professor Dumbledore and Madame Maxime were talking about.

It was not until the emotionally intelligent Professor Grubbly-Plank saw his expression and calmly asked Hagrid to "help Madame Maxime" pull away the Pegasus to take care of them that Hagrid strode forward with heavy steps, hurriedly and clumsily pulled the horse's reins, and pulled the carriage away with the Professor of Care of Magical Zoology.
