HP Shavings Wizard
Chapter 242 Slughorn
"We should go find Horace."
Dumbledore surveyed the sky.
Of course it shouldn't be too late, after all, it's a very formal visit.
Although I didn't follow much wizard etiquette.
In order to prevent Slughorn from guessing the intention of Dumbledore's invitation and running away, Dumbledore did not send a visit letter by owl in advance.
Alison cast a Summons in the headmaster's office, and immediately a large bag of pineapple preserves flew over from Dumbledore's candy collection.
This was purchased by Alison.
Dumbledore would occasionally eat some candied fruit, but he preferred normal candies. If he had to name his favorite fruit product, it would probably be raspberry jam - in the kitchens of Hogwarts, the hardworking and loyal house elves spread thick and sticky raspberry jam on pies to make sweet jam tarts...
After once again casually stuffing a large bag of candied pineapple fruit into her two-dimensional pocket that couldn't even hold it, Alison immediately clung to Dumbledore, who was waiting for her with a smile, and hugged her father's left arm tightly.
She could Apparate illegally, of course, but with the fathers around, there was certainly no reason for her to use that.
The family of three Apparated to a small village with pretty scenery.
Except for Hogsmeade, which is a pure wizard village, the rest of the wizards live together with Muggles. Not surprisingly, this is another "haunted" village like Godric's Hollow.
The two adults Apparated to an apparently accurate position, directly in front of a neat little stone house set in a garden.
Alison looked around.
This was obviously an old wizarding residence that pursued comfort - as could be seen from the neatly maintained garden outside, decorated with seasonal flowers and herbs - but despite being so beautiful and fantastic, the Muggles who occasionally passed by didn't even glance at it.
However, it seems that this house has been attacked?
The front door was off its hinges and hung at an angle.
Dumbledore's eyes flashed with cunning, and he walked in first, looking around the messy room.
The scene before my eyes was a mess.
A grandfather clock had smashed to pieces at their feet, the glass face shattered to the ground, the hands and pendulum scattered like powder.
The piano also fell over, and the keys seemed to have been blown apart.
Nearby, the fragments of a shattered chandelier glittered.
There were also feathers in the room, peeking out from holes in the soft cushions, which had become deflated.
The wall was splattered with dark red sticky blood again - but Dumbledore, who had done in-depth research on dragon blood, could naturally feel that something was wrong with the crime scene.
What's more, he had predicted this in advance and knew what was going on.
Although there was no Death Eater visit, forcing this old colleague to flee frantically, change his identity, and completely cut off all contact with the past, this professor, who resigned early because of Voldemort's affairs, has obviously been vigilant and has not let down his guard for more than ten years - especially after learning that a mysterious man had returned and was snatching candy from children in Honeydukes.
Dumbledore looked around, his tone heavy, but his expression odd, as if he was faintly trying to hold back a laugh: "It doesn't look good, does it? It looks like a terrorist incident has occurred here."
Grindelwald also smiled and glanced at a soft sofa in the room, and agreed in a strange tone: "It's indeed not very beautiful. Merlin, has this place been attacked by wizards? It seems that people have been dragged away. What a pity, we are a step late."
Alison seemed to be tired from walking, so she sat down on the soft sofa and secretly used some strength to push down: "But if it was an attack by Death Eaters, they would definitely leave a Dark Mark above the house~"
The soft sofa screamed, and in the blink of an eye it turned into a bald, fat old man. He was almost crushed by the little wizard and rolled his eyes: "Ouch! Get up! Help!"
There were no accidents among the three members of the family present.
Alison moved to another sofa—and sat down firmly this time.
The fat old man didn't even have time to get angry. He just cried out "Ouch, ouch" and gasped. Then he struggled to get up and staggered, rubbing his soft little belly that had been pressed by the half-sized wizard.
Dumbledore smiled at the wizard in front of him with a bald head, bulging eyes, a silver-white beard like a walrus, and wearing lavender pajamas: "Long time no see, my dear Horace."
Slughorn sighed heavily, and the tips of his beard were blown up. He looked a little dejected. "Okay, okay, Dark Mark, I just felt that there was something missing, but you moved too fast."
But Alison maliciously poked the old man's soft belly with the tip of her wand - that was the soft and comfortable sofa cushion she had just sat on.
Poked by the cool wood, Slughorn covered his stomach in horror, stared at Alison with his round eyes, and questioned the parents of the naughty child cleverly.
"Dumbledore! What happened to your daughter!"
Dumbledore sat down leisurely, waved his wand to repair the mess here, then sat on a wide sofa with Grindelwald, shrugged his shoulders and spoke in a relaxed tone.
"As you can see, it's just a lovely child."
Slughorn frowned as he endured the noise of repairing things and complained, "Cute little witch? You really should discipline her!"
Although he had been retired for more than a decade, his network of contacts was still there. The animated figures in the glittering silver frames on the cabinet were all his former students, from all walks of life in the wizarding world, so that he could always receive the most fashionable and secret information.
For example, the truth about the sudden disappearance of Azkaban, which was concealed by the Ministry of Magic, was destroyed by the little witch in front of him in about an hour. She sucked all the soul eaters and some of the soul power of the prisoners.
It's terrible.
In a sense, even better than the mysterious man...
Dumbledore raised an eyebrow at the accusation and simply went along with what he was saying.
"Horace, that is exactly why I have come here... If you are willing, perhaps you can return to Hogwarts - and help discipline her."
Slughorn was startled by Dumbledore's sudden invitation, and for a moment he had no time to be afraid or to refute the offer to help with discipline.
"Back to Hogwarts?"
His expression became a little strange.
To be honest, he really needs some salary - he is a person who likes to enjoy life and luxury. He can't just live off his savings like he is now.
But compared to money, life is obviously more important...
Just like the real reason why he suddenly resigned before...
So, Slughorn hesitated for a moment, then shook his head.
"No, Albus, you know I'm retired..."
