Black Naruto: Shadow Moon

Chapter 169: The Armed Forces of the Wind Country Civilians

Standing on this oasis, Sakumo saw a scene that was completely different from other places in the Kingdom of Wind.

The land here is fertile, the farmland is full of vitality, and although the people are undergoing armed training, they do not show any signs of suffering from oppression. Instead, they are full of hope for the future.

Soldiers armed with guns are guarding the oasis, and the entire oasis looks well-organized.

Uchiha Yingyue introduced the organization to Sakumo: "The Oasis Liberation Army has become the pillar of the civilian resistance in Wind Country. You will take full control of the affairs here, formulate strategies, and expand our influence. Now, all eyes are on Wind Country, and the situation in the future will be more complicated."

With Shadow Moon's introduction, Sakumao soon met the head of the Oasis Liberation Army, a civilian leader that Sakumao had never seen before. Shadow Moon said to the members of the Liberation Army: "This is Shadow Blade, he will be your new leader and lead everyone to continue on."

Although the members of the Oasis Liberation Army were unfamiliar with the new leader, they quickly accepted Sakumo's leadership out of trust in Shadow Moon.

After personally inspecting the oasis's defensive fortifications and understanding the local production conditions and military deployments, Hatake Sakumo began to plan the next course of action.

He knew that the situation in the Kingdom of Wind would become more turbulent, and the Oasis Liberation Army must prepare for the worst, not only to resist the threats from the Daimyo and Kazekage, but also to find their own foothold in the greater wave of resistance.

After Uchiha Kagezuki brought Hatake Sakumo to the oasis in the Wind Country, the managers originally selected by Kagezuki came out to greet them in person.

They were very excited to learn that Lord Yingyue had come in person, and they were also eager to report to Yingyue on their work progress during this period.

In the square of the oasis, Yingyue's arrival attracted many PLA soldiers and people from the oasis.

The manager led several core members and stood in front of Yingyue. They said respectfully, "Lord Yingyue, we are very happy to meet you. The Oasis has undergone many changes since you left. As you predicted, the enemy's suppression has indeed come."

They began to report the situation in the oasis in detail: "Since we overthrew the reactionary lord, the oasis has not paid taxes to the daimyo of the Wind Country for a long time, which has attracted tax collectors sent by the daimyo. At first they just came to collect taxes, but when they found out that the lord had been overthrown, things became complicated. The Wind Country is no stranger to rebellion, especially in this harsh land. The tax collector reported to the daimyo, and then the ninjas from the Sand Village came to suppress it."

The manager recalled that they thought the situation would be very difficult at the time, but because of the Aurora Organization firearms that Shadow Moon had provided them earlier, they had enough resistance after training: "The ninjas of the Sand Village obviously did not expect that we had such advanced weapons. Although ninjas are stronger than ordinary soldiers, we relied on these firearms, especially the combat skills of civilians, and performed well in the battles with Genin and Chunin, and even posed a threat to Jonin. We injured several Jonin and eventually repelled their attack."

The manager of the oasis went on to say, "However, as time went on, we and the ninjas of the Sand Village reached a stalemate. They seemed unwilling to risk their lives for the Daimyo of the Wind Country for such a meager reward, so in the end, neither side further escalated the conflict."

In this stalemate, the leadership of Oasis decided to adopt a negotiation strategy: "We negotiated with the officials of the Wind Country and were willing to pay a portion of the taxes on the condition that the daimyo of the Wind Country would no longer send ninjas to suppress us. The other party also agreed to the deal considering that the losses from suppressing us were too great."

The manager said proudly: "Now, we have established a firm foothold in this oasis. This is an autonomous oasis without lord rule, which has attracted many people who have fled from other parts of the Wind Kingdom. Those civilians who have been unable to make a living have heard about the good life here and have flocked here."

After listening to the manager's report, Uchiha Yingyue was pleased with their efforts.

Uchiha Kagezuki looked at Hatake Sakumo and said softly: "Shadow Blade, you see. This place has become a symbol of freedom and resistance in the Kingdom of Wind, and you will lead these people to continue their liberation movement."

Hatake Sakumo nodded, expressing his trust and expectations for Yingyue: "I will do my best to lead them to go further."

The Oasis managers welcomed the new leader "Shadow Blade". Although they were a little unfamiliar, with Shadow Moon's introduction, they were full of confidence in Hatake Sakumo.

In the oasis of the Wind Country, Uchiha Kagezuki convened the core members of the Liberation Organization and Hatake Sakumo for a strategic meeting on future development.

The purpose of this meeting was to clarify the next expansion plan and ensure that the Oasis could not only be self-sufficient in the turbulent situation in the Wind Kingdom, but also gradually expand its influence.

Uchiha Yingyue first pointed out the current status of the Oasis: "Thanks to the improved rice varieties and the technological support of the Aurora Organization, the Oasis has become self-sufficient. Your efforts have made this place a rare stable base in the Kingdom of Wind."

But Yingyue then reminded: "We can't be complacent because of the short-term stability. Staying in a corner will only give the enemy an opportunity to suppress us."

Uchiha Kagezuki clearly pointed out the attitude of the Wind Country Daimyo and officials at the meeting: "It's not that they don't want to suppress us, but because our current armed forces are strong, they have chosen to compromise temporarily. But if one day they think the conditions are ripe, the plan of suppression will definitely be implemented again. Therefore, we must not take it lightly."

He said in a serious tone: "We are not yet strong enough to make the Daimyo and Kazekage truly fear us."

Uchiha Yingyue then set a clear strategic direction for the organization's future: "We need to expand our power as much as possible based on the existing oasis, and by liberating more civilians from the Wind Country, win wider support and establish more bases."

Uchiha Yingyue looked around at the members present and emphasized: "Most of you are civilians from the Kingdom of Wind. You know best how difficult life is for civilians in other places and how those lords oppress the people. Therefore, we must not only establish a self-sufficient system in the oasis, but also actively liberate more places and bring them hope."

Afterwards, Uchiha Kagezuki further emphasized where the resources for the revolution came from, drawing on the revolutionary ideas from his previous life.

Yingyue recalled the formulaic fighting methods of the great men who had saved China from sinking, and clarified the future course of action for everyone at the meeting.
