Black Naruto: Shadow Moon

Chapter 144: Guiding the Jonin Kagezuki

In the early morning, Konoha Village was shrouded in a thin mist, and Uchiha Yingyue slowly walked towards the training ground.

Yingyue felt calm, but was secretly looking forward to this first meeting with the three students.

On the training ground, three small figures had been waiting for a long time.

Asuma Sarutobi, Kurenai Yuhi and Shizune, three newly graduated ninja trainees, were standing in the morning light, talking to each other.

When Yingyue stepped into the training ground, the three of them immediately fell silent, all looking at him.

"You are very punctual." Yingyue said lightly, looking closely at the three people in front of him.

Uchiha Kagezuki's gaze first stopped on Sarutobi Asuma.

Asuma was only about ten years old at this time, with messy hair and a rebellious look on his face.

Yingyue knew that this thorny boy would grow up to be a steady ninja and even become one of the Twelve Guardian Ninjas, but now Asuma was just a young man with a strong desire to win and often liked to show off.

"Asma is still just a child now..." Yingyue sighed in her heart. The image of Asma in the future as a bearded uncle is very different from the rebellious teenager in front of her.

Kagezuki couldn't help but think about Asuma's fate, and his future death at the hands of Hidan.

Thinking of his future fate, Yingyue felt a little regretful and made up her mind to improve the strength of this future strong man.

Then, Yingyue turned his gaze to Xihihong.

This future master of illusion will grow up to be mature and charming.

But now Hong is still a lively little loli, with alertness and intelligence in her eyes, and it is obvious that she is extremely talented.

Asuma was trying hard to show himself in front of Kurenai Yuhi, showing off from time to time in an attempt to attract her attention.

Yingyue secretly found it amusing that the precocious Asuma seemed to have begun expressing affection for Hong.

Finally, Yingyue's gaze stopped on Shizune.

This future medical ninja, now still an introverted and shy little girl, stood silently aside, appearing even quieter than the other two.

She didn't have Asuma's flamboyance, nor Hong's confidence, and there was a hint of uneasiness in her eyes.

But Shadow Moon could see that Shizune had a great resilience hidden deep inside.

Although he knew that children in the ninja world generally matured earlier than children in the ordinary world, the interaction between Asuma and Hong still made Yingyue sigh: "This is too precocious... But their relationship will have a result in the future."

Uchiha Kagezuki couldn't help but think back to a day in the future when Asuma would die at the hands of Hidan and Kurenai would raise their child alone.

Thinking of this, Yingyue felt that it was necessary to improve the strength of these three people as soon as possible through rigorous training and guidance to avoid future tragedies.

Yingyue turned around and faced the three students, her eyes showing a hint of calmness and severity.

"Today, I want to test your strength." Yingyue said, his tone calm, but with an unquestionable majesty. "You are the future of Konoha Village, I want to make sure you have the ability to become qualified ninjas. I will not show mercy in the next test."

None of the three dared to take it lightly. Asuma Sarutobi puffed out his chest in defiance of defeat, Kurenai Yuhi was concentrating on preparation, and Shizune stood silently by the side. Although she was a little nervous, her eyes revealed firm determination.

On the training ground in the early morning, Uchiha Kagezuki stood calmly in front of three students, holding a bell in his hand, which swayed gently.

He decided to use the "Bell Test" commonly used in Konoha to evaluate the strength of Asuma Sarutobi, Kurenai Yuhi and Shizune.

This test method is often used to assess new ninjas. As long as they can snatch the bell from the leading ninja, they are considered qualified.

Uchiha Yingyue said calmly to the three people: "If you take this bell from me, you will be qualified."

Yingyue's words were filled with a hint of cold authority, but he knew in his heart that this was just a test of their ability to cooperate and fight.

Asuma Sarutobi, Kurenai Yuhi and Shizune stood in front of Shadow Moon, looking nervous but full of fighting spirit.

They knew that Shadow Moon was a legendary figure in Konoha Village with extraordinary strength, and it would be difficult to snatch the bell from him.

The moment the bell test began, the three of them took action immediately.

Asuma Sarutobi was the first to attack. He was born with a strong aggressiveness and rushed towards Yingyue without hesitation, trying to seize the bell by force through strength and speed.

He held the kunai in both hands, nimbly moved behind Yingyue, and launched a quick attack with strong wind chakra.

Xihi Kurenai analyzed the situation calmly. She was good at illusion. She formed hand seals at a distance and created a false clone, trying to confuse Yingyue with illusion so that he could not distinguish between the real and the fake.

Shizune was relatively silent, but she quickly assessed the situation and knew that frontal combat was not her strong point, so she quietly went around to the side of Shadow Moon, ready to launch a surprise attack at a critical moment to assist her teammates.

Although the three of them showed excellent skills and strategies, Yingyue's eyes remained calm and he easily resolved each wave of attacks.

Asuma's frontal attack seemed too straightforward to Yingyue, and he could not be defeated by speed and strength alone; although Yuhi Kurenai's illusion was exquisite, it had almost no effect in front of Yingyue's Mangekyō Sharingan; although Shizune's surprise attack seemed clever, her speed and strength were not yet enough to threaten Yingyue.

In Yingyue's eyes, the efforts of the three were just a performance of basic ninjutsu. Although the performance was good, it was still far from qualified.

Shadow Moon's power is too strong. Even an experienced Jonin may not be able to snatch the bell from him, let alone these newly graduated Genin.

Seeing that the test was nearing its end, Yingyue nodded secretly, thinking that their fighting ability and spirit of cooperation had been tested.

Uchiha Yingyue decided to "let them off" a little and give the three some chances.

Yingyue deliberately slowed down his movements, creating a flaw in an instant, allowing the three to seize the opportunity.

Asuma Sarutobi used his momentum to create a suitable opportunity, while Kurenai Yuhi and Shizune worked together to barely snatch a bell from Yingyue's hand.

Even though they all knew that this was an opportunity Yingyue had deliberately left for them, they were still excited about this victory.

Yingyue smiled slightly, put away the last bit of pressure, and said calmly: "Yes, although your strength is insufficient, I see your potential and cooperation. Today's test ends here. In future training, you must work harder."

All three of them were breathing heavily. Although they got the bell, they also realized that their strength was far from that of Yingyue.

Their future is still full of challenges, and Shadow Moon will be the mentor who leads them on the path to becoming stronger.
