Black Naruto: Shadow Moon

Chapter 105 The Truth of the Kidnapping Case

Uchiha Kagezuki, Yamanaka Chinatsu and Hinata Ayane headed towards the border town east of the Fire Country. Although the Fire Country is one of the richest countries in the ninja world, Uchiha Kagezuki saw a completely different picture on the way.

Whether it is the poor people in the towns or the dilapidated houses in the countryside, they all show the hard life of the common people.

Even in this rich land, most of the wealth was plundered by the powerful and lords, and the ordinary people were able to retain very little food and resources.

Uchiha Yingyue and his companions talked with the local people as they walked and learned that many families were in trouble because of taxes and oppression from the lords.

Once a natural disaster occurs and the fields become barren, these people will easily lose their livelihoods and be forced to wander or even become bandits.

Even so, Uchiha Yingyue could still feel these civilians' desire for life and their powerlessness to change the status quo.

Finally, they arrived at the border town.

The client was a businessman who looked anxious. He couldn't wait to greet Uchiha Yingyue and his party as soon as they stepped into his door.

His daughter suddenly disappeared a few days ago, and this was not an isolated case. People have been disappearing one after another in this small town, and most of them are young women and civilians.

The merchant pleads with Shadow Moon to help him find his daughter.

After some discussion with Ayane and Chinatsu, Uchiha Kagezuki decided to start the investigation with the residents of the town.

They soon discover that it's not just the merchant's daughter who's gone missing, but many civilians have suffered the same fate.

More and more evidence showed that these people did not disappear on their own, but were kidnapped in an organized manner, which made Uchiha Yingyue feel that the situation was serious.

In order to get to the bottom of the truth, Uchiha Yingyue used his wooden clone and his powerful perception ability to conduct extensive investigations in the town.

After their many visits and secret investigations, Yingyue finally discovered the place where these missing people were transported to - a remote and secret manor.

The manor covers a large area and is surrounded by high walls and strict guards. It is obviously the territory of a nobleman.

Uchiha Yingyue realized that there might be a bigger conspiracy hidden here.

In order not to alert the enemy, Uchiha Kagezuki decided to sneak in. They approached the manor under the cover of night and used Ayane's Byakugan to conduct reconnaissance.

Through the high walls, they saw the scene inside the manor.

The kidnapped civilians were imprisoned in the basement of the manor. They all looked haggard and their living conditions were extremely poor.

And they learned that some young women had even been trafficked to other places.

After confirming the internal situation, Uchiha Yingyue decided to act separately.

He left a wooden clone with Ayane and Chinatsu outside to provide support, while he himself sneaked into the manor and used his eye technique and Flying Thunder God Technique to conduct further reconnaissance.

Deep in the manor, Uchiha Yingyue discovered a luxurious room with many exquisite items in it. It was obviously the residence of the owner of the manor.

Through the conversation in the room, Yingyue heard several manor guards discussing how to deal with a new batch of kidnapped civilians.

Uchiha Yingyue realized that things were more complicated than he had imagined. It was not just kidnapping and human trafficking, but might also involve transactions between nobles.

While sneaking into the manor, Uchiha Kagezuki easily controlled the guards through the illusion of the Sharingan, and found a large number of transaction documents and letters during the search.

These documents detail secret dealings between estate owners and the Fire Nation's upper nobility and officials.

Through this information, Uchiha Yingyue finally understood the whole picture: the manor owner was just a white glove of the upper nobles and officials, specializing in handling some dirty deeds that could not be seen in the light for them.

These nobles and officials used their power to kidnap beautiful girls and boys from the common people for their sexual pleasure.

What's even more cruel is that some of the kidnapped civilians were used as materials for human experiments or sold as slaves and servants.

The owner of the manor had a close relationship with the local lord. The two often held banquets together and indulged in a life of sensual pleasures.

The lord was well aware of the crime behind this, but chose to turn a blind eye.

As long as the families of important people are not involved, all this will be regarded as nothing happened.

When the wrong person was kidnapped occasionally, the anger of the upper class would be conveyed to the lord, who would immediately notify the manor owner to release the person and give them the best treatment, while also requiring the manor owner to double the bribe in exchange for the lord's protection.

Although the owner of the manor knew that what he did was not clean, in order to maintain his current status and interests, he had to continue working for these powerful people.

Seeing this, Uchiha Yingyue’s anger grew stronger and stronger.

All this made him clearly realize that the civilians of the Fire Nation were living in dire straits, and their suffering had become the basis for the extravagant lives of these upper-class dignitaries.

Uchiha Yingyue thought of the civilians he had seen along the way - people who lived in extreme poverty, endured taxes and oppression, and could lose everything at any time due to a disaster.

These powerless civilians seem to be victims of the dark side of this country, being treated as objects to be sold and humiliated at will.

Uchiha Yingyue swaggered into the living room of the manor. The luxurious decoration and expensive furnishings in the room made him frown.

Everything in this room is built on the suffering of the persecuted civilians, and the culprit of all this is the ignorant landlord.

Uchiha Yingyue found a comfortable place to sit down, looking indifferent, as if the luxury and sin here could not affect him at all.

The guards were controlled by his Sharingan and stood beside him, becoming his puppets.

Uchiha Yingyue waited quietly, waiting for the evil manor owner to fall into the trap.

Not long after, the owner of the manor walked in as Uchiha Yingyue expected.

As soon as the manor owner entered the room, he saw a strange handsome man sitting in the middle of the room. The guards around him stood beside the man like puppets.

His heart sank suddenly and cold sweat broke out on his forehead.

He was about to turn around and run away, but when he saw the man's scarlet Sharingan, his steps paused, and he seemed to be controlled by an invisible force, unable to move.

Uchiha Yingyue raised his chin slightly, and said in a calm and majestic tone: "Come and sit down."

The owner of the manor walked uncontrollably towards Yingyue and sat down stiffly opposite him.

His eyes fell on the table and his heart suddenly tightened - those documents and letters recorded all his crimes.

Human trafficking, slave trade, and the inhumane persecution of innocent civilians were all exposed before our eyes without missing a single word.
