HP: The Blood Prince of Hogwarts
Chapter 15 Lucius and Narcissa
Olga nodded and followed Draco through the crowd.
Everyone took the initiative to greet young Master Malfoy, and Draco just nodded at them arrogantly.
"Draco!" A female voice came. They both looked over and found that it was Miss Parkinson.
Pansy glanced at Olga implicitly, then looked at Draco with a complicated expression. She knew her future destiny since she was a child. Since she was destined to marry, she naturally wanted to choose someone with a prominent status. The Malfoy family was the best choice, and she had always liked Draco.
The relationship between the two families is pretty good. She and Draco can be considered childhood sweethearts. Draco can't be very nice to her, but compared to other people, he is already like one of their own.
She thought the marriage between the Parkinson family and the Malfoy family would have a great chance of success, but everything changed after entering Hogwarts. The young master who was arrogant and disdainful of everyone stuck to Olga every day, and could only see the vampire prince in his eyes.
Pansy originally thought that forget it, even if the Parkinsons were purebloods, they couldn't compete with the vampires.
Who knew that after the Quidditch game, the two of them suddenly started a cold war. Pansy knew Draco too well, and there was no way the young master would be willing to bow his head. And the little princess didn't seem like the kind of person who would give in, so she thought she still had a chance.
The result was this Christmas party. Although those in the family were not aware of it, she knew very well that this was a party specially organized by Draco to ease the relationship with Olga.
Uncle Lucius must have known what Draco was thinking, and his willingness to indulge him was a tacit consent that the two of them could continue to develop.
How can I be willing to let my secret love from youth end in vain?
Pansy envied Olga very much. She was of noble status and powerful. Even Dumbledore was polite to her. The professors in the school were even more indulgent to her. Those classmates who were afraid and despised her at the beginning now wanted to get close to her.
She didn't have to do anything, and there were still many people who liked her. Even Pansy couldn't dislike Olga, which was strange. In the past, she couldn't stand other girls around Draco.
But even so, Pansy still wanted to fight for herself once.
"Merry Christmas, did you have a good holiday?" Pansy smiled and took Draco's arm.
Draco pulled his hand back somewhat awkwardly, looked at Olga with a guilty conscience, and felt both relieved and disappointed when he found that Olga did not react.
"its not bad, right."
"Thank you for your Christmas gift, I love it! Did you see the gift I got you?"
"Huh? Oh, I haven't had time to open my presents yet."
What did he give? I wondered for the past few days whether Olga would forgive him. It seemed that the gifts from the classmates were all prepared by their mothers.
"Yeah, you're busy today, right?"
……
Olga felt a little bored listening to the conversation between the two and looked around, not knowing where Theodore had gone.
Draco noticed Olga's actions and was afraid that she would abandon him to find Nott, so he interrupted Pansy's greetings.
"Mom is still waiting for us. I'll excuse myself first."
Pansy watched Draco walking away holding Olga's hand. They were both wearing white clothes, and the girl was wearing the boy's coat. They looked like a young couple.
"Stop looking." Blaise didn't know how long he had been looking at the side. "It's not yours even if you look at it again."
Pansy was a little annoyed: "What's it got to do with you!"
Blaise sneered, "Yes, yes, it has nothing to do with me. I just can't bear to see a beautiful lady being sad."
"Hehe, put away your hypocrisy and go deceive other girls." Pansy didn't want to pay attention to this playboy.
"It's so sad. I'm speaking from the heart." Blaise covered his chest exaggeratedly and changed the subject. "Guess, when will Olga find out about Draco and Theodore's little thoughts? Or guess who will confess first?"
Pansy seemed to have thought of something funny: "One of them is unromantic and the other is a frog in boiling water. I think they have a better chance of winning than the Gryffindor twins. They are enthusiastic and proactive, and they can melt an iceberg."
Blaise was surprised: "I thought you were thinking about Draco, but I didn't expect you to see the situation clearly."
Pansy rolled her eyes: "Who in Slytherin can't see that? Only they are the ones who are confused."
"Aren't you sad? Draco likes Olga?" Blaise asked tentatively.
"At first I was very sad, but now - maybe it's more of 'reluctance' that's at work. But to be honest, sometimes it's quite fun to see Draco get humiliated."
Blaise laughed. "You're right."
—
Narcissa saw Draco and Olga from a distance. It was no wonder that Draco liked the little prince so much. She liked him too.
With her perfect appearance and otherworldly temperament, it is difficult for anyone to associate her with the vampire race.
But it is gratifying that her son has learned to take the initiative to take care of others. This is rare, and there is always someone better.
"Mom, this is the Olga I often mentioned to you." Draco walked Olga to Narcissa and spoke.
"Oh, so nice to see you. Darling, you are so beautiful. I always hear Draco mention that there is a noble little vampire prince in the school. I didn't expect that there is such a lovely girl. No wonder he talks about you every day." Narcissa took Olga's hand enthusiastically, "Oh my God, why is it so cold? Are you cold? Do you want me to take you to find a thick coat?"
Draco was very happy that Narcissa liked Olga so much, and explained: "Mom, she is born like this, she won't be cold."
"You know I'm not cold, why do you have to give me clothes?" Olga glanced at him unhappily, then looked at the elegant Narcissa in front of her, "Hello, Madam, I'm Olga. Thank you for your concern, but in fact I don't have a body temperature, so the temperature has no effect on me."
Narcissa looked at Olga lovingly and raised her hand to touch her face: "I'm so sorry, little princess."
"It's okay, just call me by my name." Narcissa reminded Olga of Emala. They were both very gentle people.
Narcissa smiled more gently, "Olga, your dress is so beautiful. Did you pick it yourself? I have never seen anything like it."
"It's Emala - my eldest sister prepared it for me. She is keen on studying all kinds of beautiful clothes."
"I have to say your elder sister has very good taste. This pair of earrings matches your lip color very well—" Narcissa discovered something, "This is... the Nott family's earrings?"
"It was indeed a gift from Theodore to me this morning."
Draco turned his head suddenly and stared at the pair of earrings with resentment. Damn it, Nott got there first again and his gift hasn't even been given away yet!
Narcissa's eyes were ambiguous. If she was not mistaken, those were not ordinary earrings, but the symbol of the future lady of the Nott family.
She glanced at her silly son beside her, Draco... the road ahead is long and difficult, Theodore is much smarter than him.
"I didn't expect Theodore to have such good taste. Draco, why don't you learn from him?" Narcissa was a little disappointed with him now. "Did you comb your hair yourself?"
Olga was a little embarrassed: "Well... I tried to recall the way my elder sister combed my hair in the past, but I ignored the fact that our hands are not the same."
Narcissa was amused by the little girl, "If you don't mind, I can help you re-comb your hair."
"Thank you so much." Although messy hair can be beautiful, it is really troublesome to always have loose hair.
"Let's go to the room. Draco stay and take care of your other classmates."
Although Draco didn't want to be separated from Olga, he secretly hoped that Olga could get along well with her mother, so he obediently let go of Olga's hand and watched them walk into the room.
Narcissa was very skillful with her hands. She quickly let Olga's hair down and tied it up again, and even braided a few cute white flowers on both sides.
She looked at the girl sitting obediently in the mirror and liked Olga even more. God knew how much she wanted a daughter.
"Okay, let's see if you are satisfied?"
Olga nodded modestly. This was much better than her own hairstyle! Mrs. Malfoy was amazing!
"Then let's go to the hall? Draco must be waiting anxiously." Narcissa also wanted to help her silly son as much as possible.
"Wait, Madam, I actually came here today to discuss something with Mr. Malfoy." Olga thought of her original intention. "I wonder if Draco has mentioned to you that my purpose in coming to the wizarding world is to study magic circles. I heard that Mr. Malfoy has a wide network of contacts. Perhaps you can help me keep an eye out for people who are good at this? Of course, the vampires will also give corresponding rewards."
Narcissa was stunned for a moment, and only then did she feel the aura of a superior from the girl.
"I see. I'll pass it on for you."
—
After dealing with Big Malfoy, Theodore entered the banquet hall. He actually didn't like this kind of occasion, but he just wanted to accompany Olga.
After casually greeting a few classmates, I found a corner to sit down. Most of the people who came up to me were after the Nott family's status, which was so boring.
Theodore sat in the dark, doing nothing. He knew that Lucius was helping his son, but he didn't care much. Draco didn't pose a threat for the time being.
At this time, several exclamations were heard. Theodore looked up and saw Olga at a glance. She came down from upstairs with Narcissa. She had changed into an exquisite hairstyle. She was so beautiful that he wanted to hide her.
The boys around were stunned and eager to go up and get acquainted with the beautiful lady.
Some people saw that Olga and Narcissa had such a close relationship, and their idea of marriage became more certain. However, they didn't know what the background of that lady was that could make the Malfoy hostess so polite.
Draco also saw Olga, and was a little unhappy that she was not wearing her coat. Didn’t he see that those annoying boys’ eyes were about to pop out of their heads?
He angrily pushed away the person who was staring at Olga, walked up to Olga and stretched out his hand. Olga put her hand on Draco's hand and walked down the stairs.
Theodore also walked through the crowd to Olga's side, blocking out the offending gazes, and whispered in her ear, "Is the matter settled?"
"Almost. It depends on what Mr. Malfoy means."
"What are you whispering about?" Draco was dissatisfied with the two people whispering.
"There are too many people here. I want to find a quiet place." Olga said casually, "I'll leave after sitting for a while."
Draco was reluctant: "Can't you stay? You haven't even had a good look around Malfoy Manor yet."
"No, definitely next time." Olga refused mercilessly.
"Okay, then don't reject me next time."
Draco pursed his lips in grievance and planned to go back to his room to get the gift he had prepared for Olga.
Narcissa saw her son's actions and calmly stopped him at the door of the room.
"What gift did you prepare for Olga?"
"It's a diamond hairpin, Mother."
Narcissa looked at Draco with a puzzled look: "Is there any special meaning?"
"Ah..." Draco was a little confused, "I think it would look great on Olga."
"Silly child, do you know what the earrings Theodore gave you represent? They are the symbol of the future mistress of the Nott family."
"What?!" Draco yelled.
"Don't make a fuss. Mind your manners. Olga obviously doesn't know about this. If you like Olga, you'd better prepare a new gift."
For the first time, Narcissa regretted her education of Draco. The child was too naive.
Draco is a little flustered now. That Nott really has bad intentions!
"Mom, I remember there is a tiara in the Malfoy's treasure house! Can--"
"Go ahead," Narcissa interrupted Draco.
Draco couldn't wait to rush to the treasure room. The crown was much more gorgeous than the earrings!
—
Lucius learned about the conversation between Olga and Narcissa. This was a perfect opportunity - to establish a cooperative relationship with the vampires. If the process went smoothly, he would no longer have to worry about the Dark Lord.
Just when he was about to ask Draco to go find Olga, he found his son holding the precious crown that he had collected with great difficulty, and walked excitedly towards the banquet hall. Lucius's eyebrows jumped, and he suppressed his anger: "Draco! What are you holding in your hand?"
Draco showed off: "Dad, Olga will definitely like this crown, right!"
What a filial son! Lucius felt heartbroken for a moment, but when he thought about discussing this with the young prince...
"Of course, this crown... is priceless. After giving the gift, remember to bring the little prince to the reception room, go quickly!" Lucius was afraid that if Draco stayed for another second, he would not be able to help but curse.
Draco was a little curious about what his father wanted to see Olga about, but he was obviously more looking forward to Olga's reaction when she received the gift.
He found Olga and Theodore in a corner of the banquet hall, walked between them ostentatiously, separated them, held up the shining crown and looked at Olga expectantly.
"Is this... for me?" Olga felt like her eyes were almost blinded by the light.
Draco nodded hurriedly: "This is the crown that Dad has treasured for a long time. Isn't it beautiful!"
"It's beautiful, but isn't it a little too... precious?" Olga actually wanted to say something exaggerated, but when she saw Draco's expression asking for praise, she changed her words.
"If it's not precious, how can it be worthy of you! Don't worry, the Malfoy family has plenty of such things." Draco puffed out his chest. Lucius might be furious if he heard this, because this is a one-of-a-kind collection!
"Well, thank you very much." Olga accepted it without any burden, planning to pick out one of equal value and send it back after returning to the vampire clan.
Draco smiled at Theodore provocatively, but Theodore ignored the childish guy. Gifts are not judged solely by their value. Would Olga be short of these things?
