Her laughter was full of teasing and mockery, her eyes were narrowed into slits, and there were even tears in the corners of her eyes.

Wang Jianguo was infected by her laughter and started laughing too. He scratched his head and said a little embarrassedly:

"I was just anxious at the moment, I just said it casually, don't take it seriously."

There was a hint of embarrassment and regret in his smile, as he realized that he had gone a bit too far with his joke.

He Yushui finally stopped laughing and wiped the tears from the corners of her eyes. Looking at Wang Jianguo's embarrassed look, she felt a little bit sorry for him.

She took a deep breath, tried to calm herself down, and said seriously:

"Brother Jianguo, we have to give them nice names. If the little tiger gets close to us in the future, it will be awkward if the name is not nice."

Wang Jianguo nodded repeatedly, and the two of them fell into a new round of heated discussion about naming the little tiger. The atmosphere in the cave became more warm and harmonious.

In the dim yet slightly warm environment of the cave, He Yushui lowered her head slightly, her eyes full of concentration and seriousness. Her slender fingers subconsciously twisted around a strand of hair, as if this could help her clear her thoughts.

After a long while, she seemed to have finally made up her mind. She looked up at Wang Jianguo, her eyes sparkling with a smart light, and said in a gentle but somewhat firm tone:

"That one is called An'an, which means that our forest will always be peaceful and tranquil. Let's call this one Pingping."

As she spoke, she gently stroked the little tiger's head, a gentle smile appeared on the corner of her mouth, and she continued to whisper softly: "The word 'Ping' means peace and good fortune. Put it together, it means that I sincerely wish them all peace and safety. Brother Jianguo, what do you think of the name I gave it?"

Her voice echoed in the cave, like a clear stream in the mountains, carrying full blessings for these little lives.

Wang Jianguo stood by and watched He Yushui think and speak quietly, his eyes full of appreciation and approval.

When she finished speaking, Wang Jianguo nodded heavily, a gratified smile appeared on his face, and he echoed:

"Yes, life is so difficult these days. Natural disasters and man-made calamities come to disturb us from time to time, and there are also those wild beasts that threaten us from time to time. As long as we are safe and sound, it is better than anything else."

He raised his head slightly and looked towards the rugged stone wall at the top of the cave. His eyes showed some emotion after experiencing vicissitudes of life, as if he was recalling the countless days and nights of fear and struggle for survival in the past.

After a pause, Wang Jianguo came back to his senses and refocused his attention on He Yushui, his eyes full of concern and care, and then said:

"Rain, it's very cold outside now, with ice and snow everywhere, and the wind blowing on your face feels like a knife cutting your skin."

"You have always been weak, and you can't stand such torture. Just play with them in the cave, and you can warm yourself up."

"I'll go see if there's any prey outside. I'll hunt more so that they can have a better diet. Food is hard to find in this winter."

After saying that, he raised his hand and tightened the slightly worn but extremely warm cotton-padded jacket on his body, and subconsciously stomped his numb feet, as if he was adapting to the severe cold outside the cave in advance.

When He Yushui heard what Wang Jianguo said, a trace of worry flashed across his face, and his expression was like a frightened deer.

She stood up without hesitation, walked a few steps to Wang Jianguo, and tightly grasped the corner of his clothes with both hands, her eyes full of anxiety and uneasiness, and said:

"Brother Jianguo, let me go with you. I'm worried about you going alone."

Her voice trembled slightly unconsciously. In this cold winter day, this concern seemed particularly heartwarming, as if it could dispel the coldness around her.

Wang Jianguo looked at the worry in He Yushui's eyes, and felt warm in his heart. He reached out and gently patted her shoulder, trying to calm her down with this action, and consoled her:

"It's okay. I won't go far. I'm very familiar with this area. I've been here since I was a child. There's no danger."

He tried to sound relaxed and confident, but his eyes showed helplessness, for he was well aware of He Yushui's stubbornness.

He Yushui seemed to be determined, shaking his head like a rattle, and said firmly:

"No, that won't work. How do you know there's no danger? What if there is? I have to follow you."

As she spoke, she gripped the corner of Wang Jianguo's clothes even tighter, as if this was the only way to keep him and prevent him from taking risks alone.

Her eyes were full of stubbornness and persistence. In this dim cave, her concern for Wang Jianguo was particularly dazzling.

In the cave, the atmosphere was a little tense because of He Yushui's insistence. Wang Jianguo looked at He Yushui's eyes full of worry and stubbornness, sighed helplessly, and had to be patient and explain in a soft voice.

He bent down slightly, looking at He Yuping with sincerity and patience in his eyes. He tapped the ground lightly with his fingers and said:

"Yushui, you know the saying 'There can't be two tigers in one mountain', right? Things in the mountains have their own rules. Tigers are fierce beasts with a strong sense of territory."

"Normally, a mountain won't allow two tigers of the same sex to fight for territory, unless they are a male and a female."

As he spoke, he pointed to An An and the tigress who had just been named "Ping Ping" and continued:

"Just like An'an and Pingping, a male and a female can live peacefully in this forest. So, there must be no other tigers nearby, let alone large wild animals."

In order to reassure He Yushui, Wang Jianguo stood up, walked to the cave entrance, pointed to the vast snow-capped mountains outside, and looked into the distance in the direction of his finger, as if he could see the scene when An An's family first arrived a few months ago. He then said:

"Look at An An's family. They have lived here for a few months. If there are large wild animals around here, such as brown bears, wolves and other ferocious creatures."

"If An An's family brings cubs with them, it will be dangerous. They will definitely not live here. After all, although tigers are powerful, they have to consider the safety of their cubs. They will not go to a mountain of tigers knowing there are tigers there."

As he spoke, he shook his head slightly, as if lamenting the trade-offs animals made in order to survive.

Wang Jianguo turned around and looked at He Yushui again, his eyes full of comfort, and concluded:

"So, there are only some small prey nearby, like hares, pheasants and the like. I'll go out hunting, and there won't be any danger, don't worry."
