Harry Potter: Who cares about belated motherly love?

Chapter 19 The Prewett Family Also Fights for Custody

Bill's handsome face warmed the soul of me as an uncle, so I decided to try harder.

In order to prevent Dumbledore from doing anything wrong, I need to warn my brother and his wife again.

When I got home, I immediately contacted the Prewett family and requested a meeting as soon as possible.

They responded right away and told me that if I didn't have other plans today, they wanted me to come over as soon as possible, so I went over to explain the situation.

The Prewett family seemed to have known that Molly's children had been taken back to the Weasley family and were anxious to find out what was going on.

With the death of brothers Gideon and Fabian, only a few old people are left in the Prewett family.

Although one of them looks young, it's just appearance.

Strange? Am I seeing things?

I remember this person should be the same age as my parents...

They welcomed me warmly and immediately expressed a desire to be briefed.

I started with Bill receiving the distress signal from the next three brothers, and described in detail the situation they were in, Percy's condition, and the appearance and contents of the brothers' rooms when I went to pick them up, and also touched on the different treatments they had received since birth.

I also mentioned the personalities of the brothers, and the differences between Arthur and Molly.

Although the Prewett family was not very wealthy, they were obviously speechless about the living conditions of Molly's children.

That’s true, and we didn’t know how to describe it at the time.

I explained that I had been helping them, so they were not completely helpless, and their eyes widened in surprise.

"We are also helping them! She told us that the Weasley family did not provide them with any help and that life was very difficult..."

"It's not a complete lie. After all, the assistance did not come from the Weasleys, but from me personally."

Why are they so smart in a place like this...

Because the Prewett family had no heirs, they considered adopting a child from Molly and provided financial assistance for this purpose.

I heard that they also told Molly about this idea.

"By the way, I always thought the kids had severed ties with the Prewett family, and Bill knew I still had a personal relationship with his father, so he asked me for help."

The Prewett family was furious when they heard this.

Indeed, because the woman took the money and did not tell her sons about her adoption plans, they provided assistance to a boy with the potential to be an heir, but received nothing in return.

If they had known earlier, they might not have turned to the Weasleys, but chose the Prewetts instead.

In that case, the inheritance issue might have been resolved long ago.

Really, they have provided aid for so long in vain.

After realizing this possibility, the faces of the elders in the Prewett family turned red and blue, and they trembled with anger.

Please, don't collapse because of anger...

I explained that since I was worried about those two people, I would secretly insert a contract every time I provided assistance so that I could use my son as a guarantee to recover the money if necessary.

After hearing this, they praised me but also seemed a little regretful, probably thinking that it would be great if they did the same.

At one point they were so angry they demanded the money back, but I stopped them.

I told them that according to Bill, Dumbledore or a member of the Order of the Phoenix might have been asked by those two men to mediate with the sons.

I banned those two people from contacting my sons, but I did not ban the children from taking the initiative to contact them, so they soon sought help from outside sources.

I propose using this to prohibit them from seeking outside assistance, at the cost of giving up their claim for the return of funds.

Why do this idiotic couple act quickly only at times like this... Do they have to lose something before they know how to cherish it?

When I mentioned Dumbledore, the faces of the elder Prewetts twisted.

It seemed that they did have some distrust of him...after all, they lost their family heir because of Dumbledore.

The twins suspected that Molly might have assets of her own, and since the Prewetts provided assistance, it was not surprising that she had assets...

I told them our doubts.

They said they would check as soon as possible to see if there were any private accounts of the two deceased persons.

If other income is found after confirmation, we will be notified first and it will not be disclosed to the outside.

If she was lucky, she might be able to find the funds that Molly had secretly transferred from Dumbledore.

However, this is a 50-50 possibility.

They sensed our intentions and promised to assist in any way they could.

In exchange, they want visitation rights with their children.

I told them that if the kids agreed, it was fine.

However, I ask that they be careful not to have any irritating ladies visit until Percy's mental state stabilizes.

Apparently, they immediately understood who I was talking about and nodded vigorously.

The lady in question was obviously aware that I was talking about her and looked a little frustrated.

I'm sorry, ma'am, but Percy really can't bear your presence right now...
