Harry Potter: Who cares about belated motherly love?
Chapter 15 These Kids Are Worth the Investment
After the kids went upstairs to bed, I thanked the family members who had stayed until now.
"But this is really beyond imagination... Those three little guys are completely like adults, even though they are only seven and five years old."
When Edgar expressed his feelings, his father, my cousin Travis, responded:
"It may be because Arthur still thinks of himself as a child, so they have to become mature. Fortunately, they broke off the relationship with him in the first place."
Apparently, he had the same idea as I did. It was indeed dangerous, but fortunately it was so.
Bilius then said:
"Even though he was only five, he behaved very maturely and when he cried I couldn't help but feel a sense of relief, although I'm sorry to say that."
Edgar, who was chatting about inventions with the twins during the day, said something interesting:
"Let me just say here that the youngest one, Ronald, seems to have memories of a past life. The twins initially thought that all parents in the world were like that, but Ronald pointed out that this was not the case."
So that's how it is. That's quite interesting. It reminds me of Grandma Belinda. She is the same, always with a lot of strange knowledge in her head.
It seems that Ronald may have unexpected talents lurking in his belly.
"I've also heard that a child's body contains the spirit of an adult, so he can survive in that environment. Compared to my sister's room, which is full of treasures, the boys' rooms are really amazing. I'll show you some memories later. You haven't seen the rooms upstairs yet, right?"
"Didn't we provide them with assistance? How could it become like that?"
William asked pointedly.
"We provided assistance because they had too many children, hoping that they could use it for their children's education, but it seemed that the money was squandered on their own and their daughter's extravagant lifestyle. I had a bad feeling at the time, so I made preparations and wrote a contract, which came in handy. In fact, they were not so poor that they could not make a living."
Travis noted:
"Arthur and Molly Prewett are actually the same type of people. Their bad habits combined make it even worse. I had hoped that Arthur's ex-fiancée could control his wild and unrestrained personality, but she is now married to Nathan and seems very happy. If she marries Arthur, it will only add to her troubles."
Edgar continued:
"However, the twins are really amazing! They don't have magic wands, but they can achieve such a level. It's really amazing. They can definitely become successful inventors. Did you see it? Their suitcases and their ideas were said to be secret, so I was not allowed to see them, but they must have a lot of ideas and the ability to put them into practice. If you want to invest, invest in the twins. They will definitely be able to get rid of poverty. I have decided to prepare funds for the twins to start their own businesses in the future. Start saving money now!"
Edgar, who had been living a free and easy life, suddenly showed enthusiasm.
Although he had done some high-paying freelance work in the past, he never seemed to have saved any money…
"Indeed, this pair of brothers is worth investing in. Father-in-law, you are really far-sighted. If you can win over this pair of brothers, the funds you provided to Arthur before will not be wasted. Why not try to help them a little longer?"
It seems Ignatius and I have the same idea.
"Also, the twins said that although Ronald has memories of his past life, he seems to have been a Muggle in his past life, so he has a different perspective, which is very interesting. He also helped us explain what can be used in some of the waste Arthur collected, and provided some basic knowledge of chemistry and pharmacy, which facilitated our research. They said that after they stabilize themselves, they want to go to the Muggle bookstore to have a look. Can I take them there? Although the twins rely more on intuition, Ronald can help them organize their thoughts logically."
The more I listened, the more I felt that there was no way these mature kids and that childish Arthur could get along.
William sighed, and I sighed too.
In fact, apart from sighing, I, the head of the family and the eldest brother, really didn’t know what to say. I even lost the strength to speak.
"Arthur really failed these outstanding children. If they were allowed to go to Hogwarts in rags, the Weasley family, who have long been ridiculed for being poor and having many children, would be looked down upon even more. By the way, Ronald is the same age as Malfoy's eldest son, right? Arthur always has a problem with Malfoy, so he will definitely be laughed at."
"We have many children in our family, and we use old clothes, but we never let them wear such tattered clothes. Although the Weasley family is all Gryffindor, we don't hate Slytherin as much as Arthur does. In fact, the order to ban people from entering Slytherin is just for safety reasons, right? Why did Arthur become like that?"
Travis asked me.
why?
This is something I’ve been thinking about lately.
