Naruto: My Own Wind

Chapter 6 Night Watch and Vacuum Sword

At night, the caravan lit a bonfire, and except for the guards, everyone else sat around it.

There was a pot of water boiling on the campfire.

Not long after, the water boiled, and the Oza enthusiastically made a cup of tea for each member of Sarutobi Asuma's team.

Team Asuma thanked them.

Feng Jian didn't pay any attention to their so-called politeness. He ate a rice ball in small bites and sipped his tea.

After wolfing down his meal, Fengjian said hello to the elder, then went alone to sit under a big tree and leaned against it.

Although his excited heart had cooled down after an afternoon of settling down, the hatred hidden in his heart slowly emerged.

Masked man, just wait, one day, I will stab you into a briquettes.

But if that were the case, my leisurely days would be over.

When I have enough ability, I will follow my teacher's example and travel around the Naruto continent to see all the exotic customs.

After opening the system and checking his personal attributes, Fengjian raised the corners of his mouth. He thought, there will be steamed buns, there will be bread, and he will have everything.

"Uncle Kazama, would you like a bag?"

Seeing the potato chips handed to him and Choji's kind smile, Kazama couldn't bear to refuse other people's kindness, so he accepted the potato chips with a smile.

Seeing this, Shikamaru also smiled and sat aside. He took out a bag of potato chips and started crunching them.

Seeing the potato chips go into Choji's mouth one by one, Kazama blinked, "Choji, didn't you just eat? How can you still eat potato chips? Aren't you full?"

"It's just a snack, it doesn't take up any space in my stomach." Shikamaru answered while eating.

Shikama was a little stunned by what Shikama said. It turned out that snacks and filling up the stomach can be separated. He really learned something new.

Touching his stomach, Fengjian shook his head slightly helplessly. His stomach was not cooperating and now he could not enjoy the delicious potato chips.

"Uncle Kazama, why aren't you eating?" Looking at Kazama holding the potato chips in his hand with no intention of opening the bag, Shikama asked puzzledly.

"As for delicious food, I must save it for last." Feng Jian threw the potato chips in the air, caught them, and put them in the bag behind him. "I'm on guard tonight, so I'll save these potato chips for when I'm on guard."

As for why he was the one keeping watch, it was the result of a discussion between him and the boss. Due to the previous excitement, he felt that he would not be sleepy at night, so he took the initiative to apply to keep watch.

"Night Watch..."

"Chouji, Asuma-sensei wants you to come over."

Hearing Shikamaru's call, Choji stood up, greeted Kazama, and ran towards Shikamaru.

As soon as Choji left, the young man who had been sitting next to the big seat came to Kazama and said, "Senior Kazama, I will keep watch with you tonight."

"Yimu, you don't have to be so serious. You have to learn to relax. Do you understand what relaxation means?" Looking at the serious young man, Fengjian felt helpless.

This Yimu is a stubborn person with a very stubborn personality. He doesn't know how to adapt at all. Fengjian hates dealing with such people the most.

But even though you don't like it, you still happen to meet it. It's really contrary to your wishes.

"Senior Kazama, we must be careful about the night watch. Just as usual, I will guard the goods and you guard everyone." Yimu was still serious.

"Okay, okay, I'll do as you say." Kazama spread his hands and pointed to Asuma Sarutobi, "Ichimu, it's safe tonight. Don't you see there are still Konoha ninjas?"

"They are them, and we are us. We can't put all our hopes on others, don't you think, Senior Kazama?" After saying this, Ikki bowed to Kazama and turned to walk towards the carriage.

Looking at Yimu's back, Fengjian opened his mouth with surprise in his eyes. He didn't expect that this stubborn Yimu could see so clearly.

People have to rely on themselves!

Seeing that everyone over there was lying down to rest, and Yimu also came to the front of the carriage, it was time for him to take a seat as well.

With a whoosh, Fengjian appeared on the tree trunk and sat on it.

The higher you sit, the farther you can see.

Before Fengjian stayed on the tree for long, bursts of snoring were heard beside the campfire. The pitch was uneven, but there was one snoring that was most special because it sounded like a chainsaw and was very unpleasant.

Fengjian curled his lips. The snoring of this elder brother was really unbearable. He wondered how his wife managed to endure it?

With a whoosh, there was a person next to Fengjian.

"Uncle Kazama, I'll accompany you, click..."

"Choji, please keep your voice down and don't disturb their rest." Kazama turned around, put his fingers to his lips, and shook his head at Choji.

Dingci paused while holding the potato chips, then scratched his head and smiled innocently, "Uncle Kazama, you are right. I won't eat it anymore."

After saying this, Choji stuffed the uneaten potato chips into his backpack.

"Why don't you go to bed?" Fengjian turned around and looked under the tree.

"In the first half of the night, Shikamaru and I will be on guard, and in the second half, Asuma-sensei and Ino will be on guard."

After hearing Choji's answer, Kazama also saw Shikamaru put his hands in his pockets, walked slowly to the carriage, and sat down on it.

Even though it was dark and he couldn't see Shikamaru's expression clearly, Kazama could imagine that Shikamaru must be squinting his eyes and looking as if he had lost all hope in life.

Asuma and Ino rested under a tree not far from the campfire. Compared to Ino who lay down to sleep, Asuma just sat with his eyes closed.

"Uncle, are you a samurai?"

"No, I'm a swordsman." Fengjian patted the samurai sword at his waist to show his identity as a swordsman.

Seeing Kazama's behavior, Choji blinked his little eyes. Having a samurai sword doesn't mean he is a swordsman, because samurai and ninjas also use samurai swords.

"Chouji, if you're sleepy, take a nap."

"No, keeping watch is my job, I can't be lazy." Shikamaru shook his head.

Seeing the sincere look in Choji's eyes, Fengjian spread his hands and said, "It's up to you, but you are not allowed to eat potato chips anymore."

Choji nodded seriously.

The quiet night is not as warm as the day, but the cool breeze makes people feel refreshed.

The roaring sound of the fire, the intermittent snoring, the rustling of leaves, and the occasional animal calls, all these sounds intertwined to form a slightly disturbing musical score that penetrated Fengjian's ears without missing a single one.

Suddenly, a slight click sounded in the forest behind Fengjian.

When Kazama heard the voice, he immediately frowned and looked back at the dark forest. Before he could talk to Choji, he saw Kazuki waving at him.

Kazama also waved at Kazuki, then jumped off the tree and walked straight towards the woods.

Seeing this, Shikamaru said nothing and followed closely behind.

"Chouji, come back." Shikamaru whispered.

After Shikamaru shouted, he found that Choji had followed Kazama into the forest. He stomped his feet and chased after him without thinking too much.

Yimu drew out his samurai sword, jumped onto the carriage, and looked around with eyes as sharp as lightning.

Not long after entering the forest, Dingci saw Fengjian stopped, and he couldn't help but speed up, "Uncle Fengjian, why...uh..."

Without Kazama's answer, Choji saw that in front of the two of them, there were eight green eyes and a slight whimpering sound.

As Choji gazed, four wild wolves slowly appeared in his sight.

After seeing clearly, Shikamaru also frowned, because these four wild wolves were a bit big, and each wolf was almost twice the size of an ordinary wolf.

However, no matter how big the wolf is, it will not make Shikamaru retreat. He drew out his kunai and was about to move forward when he was stopped by a hand.

"Uncle Kazama, you..."

"Chouji, please step back first. I need to stretch my muscles." Kazama shook his neck as he spoke.

The moment the samurai sword was unsheathed, a cold light flashed in the dark night, and the surrounding air was filled with a chilly atmosphere, which made Shikamaru involuntarily cross his arms.

When the four wolves saw the samurai sword being unsheathed, one of them raised its head and prepared to howl.

Seeing this, Fengjian couldn't give this wild wolf a chance. He knew very well that these four wild wolves were obviously the vanguard. If it let out a roar, it would be in great trouble.

It just so happened that Kazama also planned to try out the power of the vacuum sword.

He did it as he thought. Fengjian suddenly held the samurai sword in his backhand, swung the sword quickly, and created a powerful wind blade, which passed through the four wolves at lightning speed.
