Black Myth: You and I are both destined

Under the glazed tiles of the Heavenly Palace, Sha Wujing and Tianming stood side by side.

The sky, through the glass lamp, showed a desolate scene. It seemed prosperous on the surface, but in fact, it concealed countless cracks and holes.

Sha Wujing's gaze penetrated these illusions, and his voice was a little hoarse, as if it had gone through countless years of sedimentation.

“In this tapestry of the universe, the spirit is like the sun, warm and bright. It is the symbol of yang, giving life to all things.”

Tianming listened quietly, feeling the weight of Sha Wujing's words.

“However, in contrast, the Nine Netherworld is like the night, deep and mysterious. It represents Yin and is the destination where everything returns to silence.” Sha Wujing continued, his voice echoing in the empty Heavenly Palace.

"As the saying goes, one gives birth to two, two gives birth to three, and three gives birth to all things. The original true spirit turns into yin and yang, and then there are the Three Purities."

The dilapidated Heavenly Palace was reflected in Tianming's eyes, and he began to understand the truth of this world.

"Energy? The more you use, the more harmful waste will be produced, and the less stock will be left. When it runs out, the creatures that rely on this energy will be finished! Even if they want to return to their primitive lives, without the protection of energy, those harmful waste will be enough to devour them!"

Tianming muttered quietly, but Sha Wujing didn't notice. He pointed at his clothes and said, "When the power of the spiritual essence is exhausted, Jiuyou will take advantage of the opportunity and cause a catastrophe, just like a hole in a gorgeous dress."

"So how do we fix this hole?"

"patch?"

Sha Wujing smiled and said, "A skilled tailor would use scraps of old clothes and remnants of new cloth to mend this dress."

"If this dress is this world, then what is the patch?"

The answer was obvious, and Tianming seemed to understand everything.

"They need to use the time and space of the past and future to fill this hole in the present world!"

No wonder he saw multiple timelines, and even different results at the same time, appearing and coexisting in the real world!

The place where Tianming is has always been the present, which is 500 years after the journey to the west. There is no fantasy, no reincarnation, only the chaos of multiple time and space superimposed on each other!

For example, Zhu Bajie and Sha Wujing, whom we met in Huangfeng Ridge before, were the original leaders of the journey to the West in the past, but this past event was superimposed on the present world, and the two were also influenced by the present Sha Wujing who was sitting in the Heavenly Palace and observing them with a glass lamp, so they knew it was dawn.

An inexplicable emotion surged in Tianming's heart, and he began to realize that the world he lived in was far more complicated than he had imagined.

Sha Wujing could tell from Tianming's expression that he still understood.

"It seems you have guessed that the world we live in is actually made up of time and space from the past and the future."

"That's why you meet current pilgrims on the road, and you also hear the stories of those who went on the pilgrimage 14 years ago and 28 years ago."

"Then how did I get here? Who am I?" Tianming wanted to ask himself how he traveled through time, but suddenly he realized that maybe he didn't travel through time at all, and he was just one of the fragments of future space and time that repaired this hole.

Sha Wujing picked up a cloak and half-draped it over himself.

"How do I know?"

"The old monk who asked you to come here didn't know how long he had been in a coma. He just woke up today and realized that I am myself."

"You might as well ask him. Maybe he will know."

Suddenly, Sha Wujing's face changed drastically, and he picked up the cloak behind him and covered Tianming with it.

The air around them seemed to freeze. Sha Wujing wrapped Tianming tightly in the Nether Cloak and warned in a low voice: "Don't make a sound, something is coming!"

Tianming could feel Sha Wujing's heartbeat quickening and his breathing becoming rapid!

Suddenly, a low and rapid panting sound came from outside the cloak, like some kind of wild beast lurking in the darkness, waiting for its opportunity.

The sound was getting closer and clearer. Tianming could even feel the heat lingering outside the cloak, bringing with it a suffocating feeling of oppression.

“This is the Sun-Eating Lord!” Sha Wujing’s voice was almost a whisper in his ear, “They are the most powerful force in Heaven right now!”

The two dared to move. Tianming could feel the terrifying power, as if they would be swallowed up immediately as soon as they lifted their cloaks.

The surrounding environment also became abnormal, and there was an unsettling smell in the air, like a mixture of burnt wood and damp earth.

The sound of wind coming from afar seemed to become sharper, like countless tiny blades flying in the air, cutting everything.

Sha Wujing's forehead was covered with cold sweat, and his hands were tightly grasping the edge of his cloak to prevent Tianming from being accidentally exposed.

Tianming could only feel it all passively, his body was stiff and his heart was beating like a drum, but he knew that since Sha Wujing could survive this chaos, what he said must be right.

“Sha Wujing, this cloak should be able to block the sound and divine power inside, otherwise the monsters outside should have discovered us at this distance.”

"Yes, yes!" Sha Wujing still answered in a low voice, a fear engraved in his bones.

"They now hold the power of Heaven, but the god who seized power is extremely conservative. In this time of turmoil, he still insists on upholding the old order of Heaven."

“It looks like chaos down there, with demons and gods indistinguishable, and the people living in misery. But on the surface, the Heavenly Court is still the master of all living things, suppressing all living things so much that they can’t even raise their heads!”

Sha Wujing stared at Tianming carefully with a firm look in his eyes.

"Since he asked you to come, I will tell you the truth about the journey to the West."

“It’s possible that your belief that the Journey to the West is a large-scale road show under the supervision of Heaven and Lingshan is false.”

"But I can tell you that the pilgrimage is real."

"Really?" Tianming: "Didn't they say that the scriptures they retrieved are really useful?"

Sha Wujing gave an affirmative answer.

"But it is not the Nirvana Sutra, the Bodhisattva Sutra, the Akasagarbha Sutra, the Shurangama Sutra, etc. given by the Tathagata!"

"We, master and disciple, took the Heart Sutra together."

The panting of the Sun-Eating God outside the cloak became louder, and the terrifying sound was like that of a monster jumping out of the "Classic of Mountains and Seas"!

Sha Wujing became even more nervous and cut to the chase.

"Only when I achieved the status of Arhat did I realize that I was awarded the title because I had attained Buddhahood, not because I became an Arhat."

“Only by walking on the road can you understand the road. The road is under your feet, and those who walk will live forever.”

"The road to the west is the path to obtaining the Heart Sutra, and you really need to comprehend it yourself."

"I can only tell you that the so-called destiny is not the fate recorded in the Southern Dipper Death Book and the Life and Death Book."

"The spiritual officer said that good luck and bad luck are all determined by fate, but that is not the truth."

"There is a will above the will of heaven. That supreme being is impartial and selfless. It is not like the Jade Emperor or the Buddha."
