Chapter 379: Stair Seal

The warm chocolate muffin stood on the road, soaking up the scorching sun of Bayam.

Carmes Pete, who was sitting on the steps, finally picked it up and took a bite. It was actually a little hot.

This sturdy boy with a blond crew cut and a mole near his mouth is only sixteen years old. He is waiting for his gang members to bring him sweet iced tea to relieve the greasiness.

Young street kids always gather together for various reasons and form a gang. Sometimes it's because they feel lonely being alone, sometimes it's because they think the gang culture and movie scenes are cool, and sometimes it's just a beautiful excuse to get together and bully others.

Unlike these boys and girls whose brains were developing wildly during puberty, Kames actually joined an illegal violent gang.

He was originally a street kid, picked up by this gang when he was young, and was originally intended to be used as a consumable. However, after discovering that Camus had complete citizen data and excellent combat talent, the gang trained him as a thug.

Now, in a blink of an eye, Camus is already sixteen years old. While other middle school boys were still playing with the brotherhood of gangsters, he really worked hard with his own hands to become a small leader of thugs, leading a group of gangsters who were older than him to commit violence everywhere.

After taking another bite of the muffin, the colleague he had agreed to meet still didn't show up. Bored, Camus looked around and suddenly saw a suspicious figure.

When I came to my senses, the man disappeared from my sight, as if his figure just now was just an illusion.

Camus's fighting instincts felt bad. He carefully lowered his head and pretended to take a bite of a muffin. A man had silently sat next to him and suddenly appeared and put his arm around his shoulder.

"The chocolate muffins from Spendici Bakery are of great quality."

The man, who looked to be in his late 40s, gave Kames a thumbs-up.

Kamis was so shocked that he grabbed the man's hand and threw him over his shoulder, but he missed. When he looked up, he found the man standing in front of him, eating his chocolate muffin with relish.

This completely went against Kamais' combat experience. He couldn't understand this magical action, which seemed impossible to be accomplished physically.

"It's just in time. How did you know I was starving?"

In no time, he ate everything up, then the strange man waved his hand and disappeared.

"Your friend is coming, so I won't bother you. Thank you for the muffin."

Kamis looked at the empty street with a puzzled look on his face. Only the muffin that disappeared in his hand proved that he was not hallucinating.

The little incident did not affect Kamasi for too long. Perhaps the person he was waiting for was really coming.

Just as Kamis collected his thoughts, a familiar figure came from the end of the road.

"Kamax, you are really here. Sorry to have kept you waiting!"

The visitor was a young man in his twenties. He greeted Kames warmly and sat on the steps, but subtly kept a distance from Kames.

The sweet ice tea was not handed to Kames personally, but was placed casually on the steps.

"It's so exciting that you actually escaped from the pursuit. You can never imagine how happy I was when I learned the news!"

"Ah, yes, yes, Sergey..."

Kames agreed in a disjointed manner, trying hard to suppress his impatience.

"The day the police raided the Manhole Cover Gang to liquidate them, I was outside collecting money."

"Collecting money? Isn't that the job of Harowen and his men?"

"Yes, but the guy that day was a deadbeat. It was just our first time doing business with him. Later we found out that the middleman had cheated us. Damn it, this middleman had been doing business with us for so long, and he still wanted to cheat us.

"At the time, Harowen and his friends didn't know about it. On the day of the transaction, they suddenly changed their minds, robbed our goods, and beat Harowen into the hospital."

A very common emergency.

What gang members value most is brotherhood, the joy of settling scores, trust and integrity, because these are the qualities that gangs lack the most. In the gang world that is not bound by the law, the only thing that can constrain and guide their behavior is profit.

Since they don't want to do business properly and have driven away the "gentlemanly" Harowen, it's time to fall out and replace him with the violent Kames.

Everything went smoothly, just like every time before. That day, Kames led his men to massacre the buyer's stronghold, and once again defended the dignity and status of the Manhole Cover Gang with thunderous means.

But when Kamais returned triumphantly, he found that his own Manhole Cover Gang's stronghold had been looted by the Bayam police. The blaring red and blue police lights surrounded the entire area, and blood-stained ruins were faintly visible between the covers. Black packages containing corpses were thrown onto trucks. Of the cadres who used to order Kamais around, only a few could be seen squatting intact in front of the ruins, staring at the ground in a daze, shackled in their hands.

It was a sudden field mission, but it allowed Kamath and his thugs to escape.

"I saw the police car from a distance and thought it was just a normal patrol. But as I walked forward, I saw more and more police cars. So I felt something was wrong and ran away."

In fact, Kamasi still took a sneak peek, wanting to find an opportunity to fight for the Manhole Cover Gang, but when he realized that the dust had settled, Kamasi made a prompt decision to withdraw, thinking it would be best to protect himself first.

"Luckily you didn't go, bro, it was horrible!"

Sergey lifted up his long sleeves and trousers to show Kames his horrible scar.

These twisted and strange marks made Kamasi feel very uncomfortable and unhappy, and he was completely unable to determine what kind of attack had caused the wounds.

Shooting? Knife-stabbing? Stabbing? Burning? No no no…none of them.

Kamais once again felt his lack of experience and knowledge. This was the second time today that something beyond his combat experience had appeared, and it even made Kamais feel extremely uneasy.

The anxiety and impatience spread endlessly like moss, but Kamis tried his best to suppress it under his pupils.

"What I'm going to say next is the truth. Really. We've been brothers for so long and have killed people together. You have to believe me."

Sergei became more and more excited as he spoke. He began to describe the dark experience of that day with gesticulations, his face showing unspeakable panic and fear, but his wandering eyes would secretly glance at Kames' reaction from time to time. He was careful to keep a distance from him, unwilling to show his wounds at close range.

"…This is not a wound that can be caused by physical force, Kamis…"

Sergey stared at Kames' face and swallowed.

"…It was those cops who used supernatural powers to massacre the Manhole Cover Gang…"

At this moment, Kamis suddenly moved closer and looked at Sergei with a creepy and strange look.

"You mean, the Manhole Cover Gang was destroyed because of the existence of supernatural forces in this world."

"...No, I mean..."

Before he could finish his words, Kames' two sharp knives cut open Sergey's throat and heart.

"You were the one who informed on me! Traitor!"
