Cao Xiu once again confirmed that he did not see Gong Cheng downstairs, and turned back fearfully, only to see Lang Bushin, who looked suspicious, behind him, and screamed in fright.

"There's something wrong with you." Lang Bushin said.

Cao Xiu's eyes were full of panic, as the sun would be setting any later.

"Gong Cheng hasn't come back the whole afternoon. Do you know where he went?" Lang Bushin asked.

"I...I don't know." Cao Xiu said guiltily.

Lang Bushin watched as beads of sweat dripped from Cao Xiu's temples.

"You'd better not know."

After saying this, Lang Bushin was about to go out and made an appointment with Qiao Mu to go look for Gong Cheng together.

Lang Bushin was about to close the door when Cao Xiu stammered and shouted out.

"He's in the back mountain, at the mud slide project. I don't know... I really don't know." Cao Xiu's heart tightened and his eyes turned red with fear.

Lang Bushin then realized the mud marks on the floor of the room. His face changed and he ran out while sending a message to Qiao Mu.

The two of them went into the back mountain and searched all the way to find the mud slide that Cao Xiu mentioned. After looking for a long time, they finally saw three mud figures at the bottom.

If one of the standing ones had not moved around, Lang Bushin and Qiao Mu would not have been able to find him, so they tried to shout down to confirm his identity.

Gong Cheng was about to respond when he heard the voice, but Tao Zhi spoke first.

"It's Gong Cheng, there are three people below." Tao Zhi shouted.

"Are you okay?" Lang Bushin shouted back.

"Someone is injured, go and urge for rescue." Tao Zhi shouted.

"Who is injured? Gong Cheng? Is the injury serious?" Lang Bushin shouted.

Lang Bushin leaned forward to look down, and Qiao Mu saw that Lang Bushin's posture was somewhat dangerous, so he reached out and held his left arm.

Lang Bushin stretched out his right hand to keep his balance.

Seeing that Lang Bushin’s hand was almost about to touch the evil fake tree, Tao Zhi anxiously shouted upwards.

"Don't hold onto the tree!"

Lang Bushin didn't hear it clearly.

"What did you say?" Lang Bushin asked.

"Don't hold the tree!" Tao Zhi shouted with a dry mouth.

"He said not to lean on the tree." Qiao Mu said to Lang Bushin.

Lang Bushin was puzzled, why not hold on to the tree?

Lang Bushin tried to poke the fake tree out of impulsiveness, but there was no response, so he reached out and pushed it. As a result, half of the roots of the tree lifted up. Lang Bushin opened his mouth wide and rushed forward with fear in his eyes.

Qiao Mu's pupils constricted, and he reached out to grab Lang Buxin, but was pulled down by Lang Buxin.

Tao Zhi, who was standing below, saw the two men rushing down and slapped his forehead helplessly.

I really said too much.

So the two of them slid side by side all the way to the bottom smoothly. Lang Bushin screamed at first, but after finding it was extremely smooth, he howled with excitement.

Qiao Mu had already stopped sliding, but Lang Bushin was still sliding forward. Qiao Mu, who was holding Lang Bushin's hand, was dragged forward.

When they finally stopped, Lang Bushin's mouth was full of mud because he had been screaming with his mouth open, while Qiao Mu was pressed into the mud by Lang Bushin who was dancing with his hands and feet. He pulled his head out of the mud with a look of despair.

"Lang Bushin! I hate you!" Qiao Mu howled.

Lang Bushin climbed up with a grin on his face, still excited. He pulled Qiao Mu, who was trapped in the mud, out and led him towards Tao Zhi and the other two.

"What's going on? I can't tell who is who among you." Lang Bushin said.

"I am Gong Cheng." Gong Cheng said in a hoarse voice.

"I am just an ordinary employee of the villa." Tao Zhi said.

"Who is the injured one? He looks seriously injured." Lang Bushin bent down and looked at Xu Yanze who had his eyes closed.

"It's Teacher Xu!" Qiao Mu exclaimed, pointing at the black coat that had already become dirty and messy.

"Oh my god." Lang Bushin widened his eyes.

"Can the people down there hear me?"

There was a sound coming from the shore, and several people looked up, only to see villa employees coming in groups of three or four in rain boots, followed closely by medical staff carrying stretchers.

"I can hear you." Qiao Mu waved towards the shore.

The villa employees hurriedly picked up shovels to find the steps, and after determining the approximate location, they started shoveling the mud. During the process, one employee accidentally slipped down, so they simply started shoveling the mud from the bottom.

After about half an hour, they shoveled out a place to stand, and the medical staff put on non-slip rain boots and carried the stretcher down.

Although the rain boots were non-slip, it was still difficult to walk in the mud at the bottom of the pit. The steps were some distance away from Tao Zhi and his group.

Lang Bushin was getting impatient waiting for them to come over, so he bent down, picked up Xu Yanze from Gong Cheng's arms, walked towards the stretcher, and put the person on it when he got to the stretcher.

Tao Zhi and others also stood up and went over.

Gong Cheng felt a little dizzy when he stood up. He frowned in pain as soon as he lifted his foot. His vision went dark and he fell forward. Tao Zhi held Gong Cheng.

"Are you injured too?" Tao Zhi asked worriedly.

Gong Cheng bit his lip and regained some consciousness.

"It's probably just a bit of heatstroke and dehydration, don't worry about me." Gong Cheng said weakly.

Tao Zhi waved to the medical staff on the shore.

"There is a wounded person here, please come over here." Tao Zhi shouted.

Gong Cheng wanted to refuse, but sleepiness swept over him and his legs could hardly stand. Tao Zhi frowned and looked at Gong Cheng in front of him, feeling his heart tighten.

Tao Zhi helped Gong Cheng onto the stretcher and walked towards the stairs.

Tao Zhi walked to the steps and was stopped by medical staff like Qiao Mu and Lang Bushin.

"Just stand here and don't move. We will come and carry you up in a moment."

"You fell from here just like the other two injured. They were injured. Although you can move around normally now, you cannot tell whether your internal organs have been damaged."

"To avoid secondary trauma, please do not move around now," said the medical staff.

When Cao Xiu saw the ambulance entering the villa from the window, he was so frightened that he went downstairs in fear and stood next to the ambulance at the intersection leading to the back mountain. Several other students from the same school also came over after hearing the news.

Cao Xiu was still holding out hope that it was just a misunderstanding, but when he saw the medical staff carrying out a motionless clay man on a stretcher, his heart sank.

Then the second one was carried out, and then the third... and the fourth.

The fifth person to be carried out was Lang Bushin. Because his legs were too long, if he stretched them out on the stretcher he would kick the medical staff's buttocks, so he hung his legs on each side of the stretcher and lay on his back with his legs spread out.

"That person...that person's leg is broken!" a student exclaimed, covering his mouth.

Cao Xiu looked at the person on the stretcher, whose hands hung limply by the side and whose legs swayed outside the stretcher as the medical staff moved around.

Cao Xiu's legs suddenly went weak and he knelt down towards the stretchers being carried into the ambulance one by one.

"It's over, it's all over, my life is over." Cao Xiu's eyes were filled with despair.

One of the students took pictures with his mobile phone and happily handed the pictures to Cao Xiu.

"Brother Cao, look, they are all covered in mud, it's so funny. I didn't know which one is the kid Gong Cheng, so I took a picture of each of them." said the student.

Cao Xiu raised his head with an indescribable expression. He pointed at the man with a trembling finger and was unable to speak for a long time.

The other person quickly snatched the phone away and slapped the man on the back.

"Don't you know how to read people's faces? Why are you still taking pictures at this time?"

The person being photographed touched his head with a look of grievance.

"Didn't you guys say before that we would take more pictures when Gong Cheng came back from the back mountain covered in mud?"
