Elf Story from Another World
Chapter 9: Teacher (1)
Chapter nine
"What are you doing?" Suddenly, Shkaluo said softly.
His voice suddenly changed. It lost the pleading tone just now and became as cold as an iceberg.
"Loewenstein, don't forget your last name. You are a member of Strath." He slowly put his hand on the black spear, and the glove suddenly broke, revealing the elf's slender palm. The surface of his palm was covered with a layer of faint green light, like a protective film.
Ou Yue was so frightened that he fell to the ground holding a pillow.
"It's okay, don't be afraid, I won't let him hurt you." Shkaluo turned around and smiled at him, then slowly turned his head, his eyes glowed faintly, and his expression was as ferocious as an evil ghost: " You are a member of the family who has made no contribution at all. We don’t ask you to make any amazing contributions. We just ask you to pass on your boring knowledge to your children."
"Get out of the way." Lowenstein's voice sounded like it came from the mouth of a dead man, without any emotion.
"Please fulfill your obligations, at least be worthy of your last name." Schkaluo gritted his teeth: "This is an elemental elf, or a dark element. Isn't your research about dark magic? Don't you want to see what this little guy is like? How far can it be achieved?”
"I said, get out of the way." Lowenstein repeated again. The whole space suddenly became sticky and it became difficult to breathe.
Ouyue's shadow suddenly moved, and a huge black monster poured out of it and ran to the other side of the corridor.
Schkalo was stunned when he saw this sudden change, and then Lowenstein whipped him away with his arm. The black spear was thrown out a moment after he let go. Leaving black lines in the air, the target is the black monster.
Ouyue watched the spear pass over his head. After being stunned for two seconds, he realized that he wanted to attack his friend.
Why did they have to take away everything around him? Ouyue thought blankly, first his parents, and then his brother.
And in the end, even the big guy will be taken away.
The black monster turned around and waved his hand to attack the flying spear.
His fist was like a huge rock, breaking the walls along the way when he swung it. The sound of the wall breaking was mixed with fragments of the stone wall, creating a faint gray mist.
The spear collided with the fist, and half of the black monster's body was torn apart in an instant. The spear seemed to have been ordered to destroy, and everything that blocked it was turned into pieces.
After the spear passed through his body, it did not disappear, but flew all the way forward. After a while, there was a sound of walls being broken, probably through several walls that were blocking the way.
High-level dark element, the spear of darkness. A huge amount of dark elements were compressed in this spear, and the materialized dark elements were forcibly compressed, increasing its destructive power to a level that was difficult to contain.
If it weren't for the fact that the structure of this castle was specially designed to cope with this situation, as long as more than twenty load-bearing columns were not interrupted at once, it would not collapse. Moreover, all the stones here are engraved with protective films such as magic barriers, because everyone in this castle knows some magic, and if some protective measures were not taken, it would have been demolished long ago.
"How lucky you are." Lowenstein suddenly smiled: "I didn't expect elemental intelligence to really exist. I thought it was just a legend."
He looked at the monster kneeling directly on the ground after half of its body was damaged, and clapped his hands with satisfaction.
Then he raised his hand again, and another pitch-black spear began to condense. The night was full of dark elements. So the black air flow rotated in his hand, and a few seconds later, a similar spear appeared in his hand.
"Hey, why are you doing this?" Ou Yue suddenly lowered her head and asked softly.
Lowenstein ignored him. He was too lazy to pay attention to the child. No matter how much the family emphasized his importance, he did not want to teach him.
However, the spear in his hand suddenly lost control. He was stunned for a moment and watched the spear in his hand disappear in a shorter time.
He finally looked at Ouyue, and the child came directly in front of him at some point, blocking the black monster.
The broken pitch-black spear nearly saturated the dark elements in the entire space, and all of these dark elements actually lost control. Lowenstein found that it was actually difficult for him to even cast a low-level spell.
Ouyue lowered her head, slowly raised her hands, and dropped the pillow she had been holding on to the ground. This was a blocking movement. He wanted to protect the black monster behind him.
"Please don't hurt it." His voice was soft but extremely clear.
Black airflow gathered at his feet, and elements that were originally invisible became visible to the naked eye and rushed towards him. The black pattern on Oyue's head was like a growing tree, and the pattern began to spread toward his face. A huge amount of dark elements gathered around him, piecing together a wall.
This is not any spell, it is just gathering scattered dark elements to come to him. But this is such an unimaginable thing. Those things that are difficult to control actually obeyed the orders of a child and formed a wall around him.
Lowenstein looked at the child in front of him, his expression suddenly became a little hesitant.
He stroked his stubble with his hand and observed the child in front of him.
"Hey, hey, hey, if this continues, it's going to get out of control. Do you have any way to stop it?" Shkaluo said suddenly, then looked at Oyue and sighed.
The elemental content of this space has been severely saturated, and the excess dark elements have begun to vaporize.
If this situation were caused by Lowenstein, he would probably be able to control it and allow them to continue to liquefy and even turn into something similar to colloid.
But Oyue probably didn't learn any method of controlling power, he was just gathering it. This situation puts a heavy load on the body. If one suddenly loses consciousness due to fatigue shock, the dark elements in this space will spread out to the surroundings at an extremely rapid rate without control.
To put it simply, a situation similar to an explosion will occur.
"I have no choice. I have lost the ability to control the dark elements." Lowenstein put a hat on himself: "Let's go, why are you standing there waiting to be hit by the elements?"
After he finished speaking, he left, leaving Shkaro there in a daze.
"Then what should I do with this child? My dear uncle, don't tell me that he will be seriously injured or die because of this. It's better for me to go over and take a beating." Shkaluo said with a sad face: "You have to know that in order to snatch him away, I Have you offended the Elf King?"
"Don't worry, his elemental affinity is so high, he probably won't be injured. At most, he will sleep for two days due to fatigue." Lowenstein's words gave Schkalo reassurance: "But it is estimated that the facilities will have to be partially damaged. It’s damaged, so be prepared to hire someone to repair it.”
"As long as he is fine, it is a trivial matter. Our family can still afford this money." Schkalo took a long breath: "It will become an important weapon for us."
Shkaluo also quickly followed up, although he could attach a protective shield to himself and force himself to bear it. But who wants to have a stomachache like this?
The black monster suddenly came back. He knelt down and hugged Ou Yue, as if to comfort him.
Ouyue was wrapped in huge black, as if swallowed by darkness.
Suddenly, the place where the black monster was smashed grew at a speed visible to the naked eye. In just a few seconds, the huge gap was restored again, and new limbs grew out.
Not only that, his already huge and bloated body actually began to expand again until it was even bigger.
"What the hell is that?" Shkaluo looked at the monster and swallowed.
"A large elemental body." Lowenstein didn't bother to explain.
The black monster slipped away within a few minutes, and Lowenstein did not stop him. Judging from the sound of broken glass, they should have smashed the glass and left.
Ouyue was lying on the ground, still holding the pillow in his arms, and seemed to be sleeping soundly.
"What's going on?" Schkalo was hesitating whether to go up and carry him to the bed, and asked Lowenstein next to him.
"It should be that elemental body that swallowed up all the excess dark elements." Lowenstein actually walked over and picked up the child lying on the ground.
"I'm begging you on behalf of the family. Please teach him something before leaving." Shkaluo sighed: "Can't you help me a little?"
"I'll leave next week." Lowenstein said, then lowered his head and looked at the pattern on the child's head.
The pattern that had spread to the chin slowly receded, and finally only spread on the forehead.
"Oh, that's great." Shkaluo took a long breath: "I think I need to find someone to repair it. Oh, I'll go, your thing probably penetrated our house, and it didn't even damage the outer wall. Once repaired, it will be ventilated in the middle of the night.”
Lowenstein nodded lightly: "I don't mind if I take him to my room."
"I don't mind, why would I mind?" Shkaluo immediately said with a smile, then looked back at the corridor in front of him that was almost in ruins, and sighed: "Fortunately, everyone usually stays in their rooms at night. At the end of this corridor is the grocery store, otherwise we would probably have to call a doctor."
Lowenstein no longer wanted to talk to him. His nephew was so annoying that he kept talking once he relaxed.
So Shkaluo was placed next to the Elf King, so that he could maintain a tense state of mind throughout the day. In addition, he is also a good mage. If he had hardly learned dark magic, teaching him personally would not be a big problem.
In other words, from the perspective of the family alone, he is much more reliable than Lowenstein, at least he will not travel far away if he disagrees. Every time he said it would be less than three months and more than half a year. This time, if he heard what he meant, he wouldn't be able to come back for a few years.
Every time the elders in the family think of Lowenstein, they always wonder why there is a guy like him in the family, who is as stubborn as a donkey.
Lowenstein is not young now, probably over 200 years old. However, as long as it has not entered the aging stage, being over 200 years old can be regarded as being in the prime of life.
Oyue he was holding was trembling slightly in his arms. If it weren't for the worryingly weak breath on his body, Lowenstein would have really felt that he had woken up.
Lowenstein walked up the long staircase. In the middle of the night, the castle was unusually quiet. Only the guards who happened to be passing by bowed and saluted when they passed him, making a sound as their armor and stomach collided with each other.
He walked for a long time, and the stairs were covered with bright carpets. It looked like they had been taken care of regularly, and there was not a single bit of garbage on the carpets.
Until he walked to the underground of the castle.
Lowenstein took a candle from the door, lit it, and walked down as a torch.
After passing by the warehouse and the reservoir, he finally came to a slightly decayed wooden door.
Lowenstein lived here, in this dark place, where there wasn't even a refined spar lamp, and the most common candles were used for lighting.
He held Ou Yue under his arm and opened the door with a candle in his free hand. It was so dark inside that there was no light. Even the candle in his hand could not illuminate the place.
Lowenstein reached for the candle and lit it fixed on the wall.
The candle lit up with a blue flame, like a will-o'-the-wisp. Not only did I not feel warm when I looked at it, but I felt a chill.
It was a skull. The opened skull was filled with wax, and some white wax seeped out from the gaps between the eye sockets and teeth. There was a long ignition thread soaked in wax oil, and the part that leaked out was hung with a faint will-o'-the-wisp.
But this blue light actually illuminated the entire room.
This way I can finally see clearly the furnishings in this room.
There are bookshelves on the four walls, filled with books. There are a few pieces of slightly yellowed manuscript paper scattered on the floor, some of which are crumpled into a ball and thrown on the ground.
The bed was placed against the corner, with bookshelves in front and back, except for a table next to it, with several books spread flat on it and countless manuscript papers. It was filled with incomprehensible sigils or complicated formations.
He put Ou Yue on the bed and covered him with a quilt.
His bed wasn't damp or dirty. Instead, it’s clean and tidy.
It should be said that most of this room is like this. Although there are bits and pieces of garbage on the ground, it is not dirty. There is no dust on the bookshelves, and there are no cobwebs in the corners.
In any case, he is a direct descendant of the family, so the servants here come regularly to clean his room, change the kneading and bring food.
Although the family members are dissatisfied with his preoccupation with black magic, they are still willing to strongly support him. This is enough to show the tolerance of his family.
Lowenstein scratched his head, looked at Oyue who was sleeping soundly due to exhaustion and sighed, then turned around and sat in front of the table, filling the pen with ink.
He pulled out a new piece of paper and flipped through the book in front of him.
Looking at the ghostly symbols written on it, Lowenstein did not show any impatience. Sometimes he would also write down some contents in the book.
It's so eerily quiet here, the only sounds left in the air are the sound of books being turned over and the sound of pens scratching on paper.
