The original intention of writing this book was because there were no Yu-Gi-Oh fan fictions to read, and I had some free time, so I just wrote a book for myself to read for my own fun.

By the way, I'd like to trick some people into reading Yu-Gi-Oh's novels so that I have something to read.

But my ability is limited and my level is average. I know that it can be bad, but it still suits my taste.

I have been reading online literature since 2008. As for Yu-Gi-Oh fan fiction, to be honest, I have not been able to find all the Yu-Gi-Oh fan fiction on the Internet. This is definitely unrealistic.

But the total number of views should be no less than 50.

If we classify them, it should be said that there are only two types from the beginning.

One type is non-playing card writing.

Most of them are about describing the love affairs between the characters in the original novel, and contain some indescribable content. Such books are often short and concise.

Although there are some long ones!

But it is easy to produce a sense of emptiness after shaking, and you will definitely feel nothing after reading a few more articles.

A small number of books focus on describing the story of Kato, or directly use the background of the story of Kato to construct the world view of Shuangwen, but most of them are thankless types.

A very small number of works only borrow popular characters such as Black Magician, Black Magician Girl, and Blue-Eyes White Dragon, and actually have nothing to do with Yu-Gi-Oh!

As for those BL romance novels, that is their own small circle and I will not comment on it.

Next is the card playing article.

As the name suggests, this part of the article mainly uses playing cards to advance the story.

The 1.0 version of the card-playing novel is simply to travel to the world of Yu-Gi-Oh, and through various cheat codes and using not-so-outrageous card decks, you can follow the protagonist to the finale.

Books of this type are usually DM Grandpa’s Blue-Eyes White Dragon, Duel City, or GX Academy Start.

In terms of duels, he often replaces a character in the original work, or replaces Yugi Muto to become the first generation Duel King. After that, he often works as a teacher in GX Academy, and then goes to the world of 5DS for various reasons.

Of course, zexal, ARC-V, and vrains are not much different, just follow the story to the end.

In short, it's the protagonist following the group.

It belongs to the old-fashioned fan fiction type.

The highlights are to make up for the regrets of the original work and the wonderful interaction with the original characters.

After reading one or two chapters, once the novelty wears off, this kind of book becomes extremely boring.

In order to alleviate this boredom, many authors thought of inserting DIY card decks into Yu-Gi-Oh, and this practice is still very popular until now.

But here comes the question, if I could DIY, wouldn't it be nice to just fill my deck with cards that could lead to immediate victory?

And if DIY is not as powerful as Angel's Tear, why would I use DIY cards? Right?

A large number of readers of Yu-Gi-Oh who are serious about playing cards naturally dislike DIY.

But it is undeniable that using a popular element for DIY can indeed attract many people who originally did not watch Yu-Gi-Oh to click in.

Especially Genshin Impact, Hokugawa Mart, Dragon Ball, Fairy Tail, One Piece, Naruto, etc...

As for what kind of results it will produce, it’s hard to say.

Then the card-playing article version 1.5 was produced.

Since the protagonist is given a golden finger, his dueling strength must be far superior to the indigenous characters of the same period, so it is not a problem for his strength to exceed that of ordinary people.

But if you are much ahead of the BOSS, then the BOSS's oppressive feeling and threat level will no longer match.

What to do? You can only create an original enemy, or pull a boss from other generations or the elf world, and make the strength of the cards used by the enemy match that of the protagonist.

This thing is really fun to play with a back-and-forth approach.

One-sided crushing once or twice is enough. If it is crushing every time, readers will not be satisfied at all.

But by doing so, there will inevitably be a sense of division, with Axe Kings chopping each other one moment and super mainstream fighting the next.

If it doesn't work, just change the map. There are so many card stories, there's always one that can be squeezed in.

But changing maps too much is also a problem.

So how do we solve this problem?

How about I bring all the characters from the original game into one world and play cards directly? Everyone's decks are all upgraded, so the sense of separation is not so strong.

This is the card playing article version 1.8.

Some books are based on DM, some are based on A5, and I, a stubborn person, did some research and used the virtual world of V6 as the stage. Basically, it's fun to write in this way, but it's a mess to read, so don't even think about getting good grades.

Basically, doing this will make you happier when you are having fun.

Next up is Yu-Gi-Oh 2.0.

No matter what, Yu-Gi-Oh fan fiction is also online literature.

Others who write about weird things, Pokémon, and Kamen Rider can bring them to the world, so why can't I, Yu-Gi-Oh?

According to the routine, we first create an original world to make the level of game kings all over the world drop by tens of thousands times.

This way there is no need to explain why this character can get certain card decks.

Everyone can use the increased attack power of [Sincere New Universe Man], and [Gem Beast] can also be used multiple times.

Even those who play Lao Ai can have several legions.

For cards like [Three Evil Gods], [Phantom Demon], [Time Machine God], and [Earthbound God], you don't need to rack your brains to study their relationship with the original work when they become enemies.

There is no need to explain the 4000 HP environment and the 8000 HP environment. (This is very important. If the Naughty Fairy Star with the OCG effect hits 4000 HP, just hit it! One by one, no one will say a word.)

Then, I put a live broadcast into the book to stir up the emotions and increase the word count.

If the live broadcast is blocked, then the national destiny can also be OK? By the way, the word count is watered.

OK, no problem, but it’s a bit hard to prepare the representative decks for each country.

But the problem is that the only Chinese style with a bit of strength is [Xiangjian]. How to pass the Angel's Tears is also a problem.

But overall, the merits outweigh the flaws and it's decent enough to make a living.

The country is running, so can't I just list some famous scenes or something? And add some words at the same time.

It seems to be okay?

What if you don't play cards, but just beat people? It's hard to waste words on this.

It seems to have deviated from the core of the fun part.

It can be used as a gimmick, and if the author has strong control, it's worth a try.

Then having many children means more blessings, having three babies in one pregnancy, not being a bootlicker, and regretting having an abortion, is that okay?

It seems... this really doesn't work when applied to playing cards. Of course, if you can write it, just ignore what I said. Anyway, I have never seen it written like this.

It is possible to combine it with the story of the card illustrations, but that is outside the scope of non-card-playing articles.

Anyway, the protagonist uses the super mainstream to kill a bunch of Axe kings.

At this point, I have tended towards a more refreshing style of writing.

For Yu-Gi-Oh, the results have improved.

But compared to popular gameplays such as live streaming and national destiny, Yu-Gi-Oh seems a bit niche. It seems that if we put Yu-Gi-Oh aside and replace it with a more popular element, we will probably make more money.

Researching and deciding the solution is time-consuming and laborious, which is a thankless task and affects the speed of typing (making money).

So many authors didn’t realize it until this time.

There is still a big gap between the Yu-Gi-Oh game itself and popular IPs.

At the same level, if you write about popular topics and add a relatively reasonable imagination, you will definitely earn more.

Why would they hang themselves over this Yu-Gi-Oh? Then they all ran away.

This is also the reason why we haven’t seen many high-quality Yu-Gi-Oh online novels in recent years.

Finally: DM has its own traffic, GX is second, 5DS has even less, and Z4/A5/V6/S7 are roughly niche. It is okay to design your own worldview, but please learn to pull emotions according to the 2.0 routine.

Otherwise it would be an absolute failure.

Don't believe the nonsense that some people read the DT/Dragon Swordsman/Brand worldview (there is more than one person who wrote it, and I have read several books. The traffic is not as much as DM, and no achievements mean that you can't write long. Those who write these things haven't even read a few books that insist on more than 30 words)

You can type a lot of words by following the routine.

But it's painful to look at, and it's very long-winded, and there's no enjoyable reading at all.

The OCG construction of the comic Yu-Gi-Oh! omits the process of making the field and directly sets out the field, which looks good.

At the same time, the wonderful confrontation and pulling parts are retained.

But how to choose depends on the author himself.

Regarding the matter of affixing effects, to a certain extent, it is still necessary to explain the effects of the cards when they first appear.

But the effect of repeatedly repeating the card is bound to be to increase the word count.

Moreover, Tomato’s plagiarism check is actually quite outrageous.

Finally, a reminder: Not many people like marginal decks such as Draconia, Man-Made, Alien, Reactor, and Demon Summoning.

It is best not to use DIY cards for anyone other than the protagonist (even if they are too invincible).

Also, if possible, try not to write a deck like Hanafuda that has a long and boring expansion. This is just a rule of thumb.

Finally, I hope that there will be more and more 1.5 version card-playing articles to read in the future. The emotional tug-of-war of 2.0 really doesn’t have to be done by reading card-playing articles…
