A fire ignited in Gerlin's heart. His eyes were fixed on Torilde, and his gaze became more determined. "Why did you do this? These two girls are defenseless. Let them go!"

Thorild smiled coldly, his expression showing a bit of disdain. "Let them go? Why would I let go of those worthless pawns? They are just part of my plan. Only when they are desperate will they be more obedient."

"But they are all innocent!" Gellin almost yelled, the anger in his heart surging in his blood like hot magma. Although Gados had been knocked unconscious, Gellin was determined not to let the two girls suffer any more harm.

Thorild walked slowly into Gerlin's sight, his fingers gently stroking the hilt of the sword at his waist, as if thinking about something. "Innocent? In the game of power, who is not a pawn? The price of innocence is the bargaining chip of this war."

"Is this your true nature? Cold-blooded and inhumane?" Gerlin wanted to push Thorild to the ground with all his strength. His mind seemed to have reached a desperate situation.

"I'm just trying to survive." Thorild didn't seem to care, but there was a hint of disdain in his tone, "In order to survive, you have to pay a price. What makes you think you can interfere with my plan?"

"You are destined to pay for what you have done!" Gerlin's eyes were fierce and he wanted to step forward, but he knew very well that he could not compete with Torild's strength by himself.

At this moment, the clouds in the distance were lowering, as if foreshadowing the coming storm. Gerlin took a deep breath and tried to calm himself down. "I don't want to be your enemy, but I can't let these two girls get hurt. Either you let them go, or you fight me!"

Torild's eyebrows slightly raised, as if he was moved by Gerlin's determination, but he still smiled contemptuously. "You want to challenge me? I'm afraid you haven't seen the real power yet. This is not just a duel between you and me, there is a bigger plan waiting."

"I don't care about your plan." Gerlin clenched his fists, feeling the anger surging in his heart. "I only know that no matter how powerful you are, I will never back down!"

"Oh, child, courage is valuable, but it cannot protect you here." Thorild's voice was as cold as ice. "However, I can give you a chance to prove your worth."

"What chance?" Gerlin frowned, his heart full of vigilance. He knew that Thorild would not let him go easily, let alone give him any chance sincerely.

"If you can rescue these two girls within the time I set, I will let them go. If not, you will become my prisoner." Torild's mouth curled up into a smile, seeming very proud.

"I will succeed!" Gerling said without hesitation, his voice firm and confident. "Don't try to threaten me with such despicable means!"

"Then, the time is three hours." Thorild spread out his palm as if showing a rare coin. "If you can find them within these three hours, I will respect your courage and set them free."

"I will crush all your plans!" Gerlin roared, turned around and ran quickly towards the dark corner, with questions flashing through his mind one after another. He must find the necessary clues to rescue the two girls and must not let Torild's trick succeed.

Thorild watched Gerlin leave, feeling proud in his heart. He knew that no matter how determined Gerlin was, it would be in vain. His plan had been arranged long ago, and Gerlin could not resist the coming tide at all.

"My child, your tenacity is commendable, but soon you will realize the true meaning of despair." Thorild whispered to himself, slowly turned around, and prepared to return to his base.

Meanwhile, Gerling was walking through the dark alleys, constantly encouraging himself in his heart. He suddenly stopped, and the surroundings were suffocatingly quiet, with only a few dogs barking in the distance.

"I can't waste any time." He whispered, trying to find clues that could help him. The two girls were in danger under Torild's control, and he was the only one who could save them.

Suddenly, he noticed a vague figure hiding in the shadows, with anxiety in his eyes. Gerling's intuition told him that this might be a key clue.

"Who are you?" He asked calmly. The mysterious figure slowly walked out of the shadows, revealing a young and slightly pale face. A trace of panic appeared in the girl's eyes. "My name is Ellie. I heard your conversation with Thorild."

"Do you know where they are?" Gerling asked anxiously, his eyes shining with hope.

"I...I know something, but it's dangerous." Ellie hesitated, as if considering the consequences.

"As long as I can rescue them, I'm not afraid of any danger!" Gerling's tone was firm.

Ellie finally nodded and spoke slowly: "They are locked up in the warehouse to the east. It is guarded by Torild's team and it is very difficult to get in."

"We have to make a plan." Gerling's eyes were determined. If they didn't act quickly, they would lose the chance of rescue.

"I can help you investigate." Ellie said, a hint of courage in her eyes. "I have some friends around here, they can help you distract me."

"Very good, we have no time to waste." Gerling breathed a sigh of relief. Although he was in danger, the fire in his heart had already been ignited. No matter what the result was, he would not give up rescuing the girls.
