The most powerful wizard in the magic world
Chapter 157 Desire for Victory
"Understood!" The apprentices responded in unison, their voices echoing in the hall, filled with a tense atmosphere.
"So, who is willing to be the first to challenge another group of apprentices?" Dean Sly had an expectant look on his face, as if he was enjoying the thrill of this confrontation.
Draco Malfoy, who was sitting at the table, smiled contemptuously and raised his hand. "I'll take them hunting, Dean, the others are no problem at all." He glanced at the other apprentices with disdain and provocation.
"Draco, you are indeed a decisive young man." Dean Sly's mouth curled up slightly, with great appreciation in his eyes, "This is the spirit that we Slytherins should have."
"It's just bluffing." Zach Smith said coldly, "If you have the guts, challenge me directly. I don't want to waste my time."
Draco gave Zach a challenging look. The students around him all looked at them, and a tense atmosphere filled the air.
"If you want to die, I'm happy to oblige you." Draco showed no weakness, with the corners of his mouth slightly raised, looking confident, "But I don't want the honor of being the first in the academy to be taken away by a jack of all trades like you."
"That's enough! Do you two want to fight here or go outside to solve it?" A girl stood up and said firmly. She was Parvati Pawar. In order to stop the unnecessary fight, she interrupted: "We should focus on the real goal instead of bickering with each other."
"This is the law of power, Parvati." Draco's eyes were sharp. "If you don't even have the courage to fight, how can you survive in this world?"
"If you want to fight, go ahead." Parvati showed a helpless expression on his face, "I just want to tell you that cooperation is a more powerful weapon."
"Do you think your words can change me?" Draco sneered and turned away.
Dean Sly tapped the table with his fingers, and the crisp sound made the apprentices return to silence. "In the next few weeks, a severe competition will be held in the academy. You need to divide into groups to compete. The winner will receive a generous reward, and the loser will lose honor." He paused and said in a heavier voice, "Not only will there be fights between apprentices, but there will also be threats from outside. You must learn how to deal with them."
"External threat?" Harry Potter spoke in the corner, his voice low and firm, "We can't let Slytherin's ideas spread. Unity is our strength."
Dean Sly stared at Harry like a hawk, as if assessing the weight of his words. "Do you think cooperation can save you from being eliminated? In this cruel world, only the strong can survive."
"But it doesn't mean we have to kill each other." Harry replied firmly, with a hint of tenacity in his eyes.
"Interesting!" Dean Sly showed a sly smile, "Well, I look forward to your performance. Humph, let's see if this weak mentality can survive the competition."
As the course ended, the apprentices left the classroom one after another, but they could not get rid of the tension in their hearts. A game about survival was about to begin, but Draco's plan had already taken shape quietly.
"We must take action." Draco said to Zach and other companions, "Let's find the target tonight and teach them a profound lesson."
Zach curled his lips, "I knew you wouldn't miss any opportunity. Okay, I'll help you, but I don't want to be too drastic."
"This is my personal matter." Draco responded coldly, "If you want to continue to stay in my team, you have to listen to my arrangements."
"Got it, Malfoy," Zach responded reluctantly.
As night fell, the moonlight outside the academy shone through the treetops onto the open space, and the cold air was filled with a turbulent atmosphere. Draco led his team, lurking in the darkness, waiting for the opportunity.
"They are just ahead. Let's split into two groups and encircle them from both sides." Draco's voice was so soft that it was almost inaudible, and his eyes were as sharp as a wolf's.
"Come on, Draco." The people in the team whispered encouragement, and the tension was growing.
Draco's heartbeat began to speed up, as if he had seen prey. He took a deep breath, secretly glad that he was ready for it. Suddenly, several figures flashed in the darkness ahead. They were their opponents - apprentices from other colleges.
"Here they come!" Draco roared in a low voice, and the team quickly approached that direction, their figures stealing in the night like ghosts.
"Prepare to cast!" Draco ordered, his wand ready to go, his heart filled with a desire for victory.
A spell rang out like thunder and lightning, and the battle was about to begin. The opponent counterattacked silently, and the darkness echoed with screams and spells. Draco looked at his companions proudly, and they fought hard, like a group of brave warriors.
Zach waved his wand and instantly knocked down the enemy in front of him, shouting excitedly: "Well done! We are going to win!"
But at this moment, a cold light flashed by, and Draco took the opportunity to cast a spell, and a magic directly hit the enemy in front, forcing them to retreat. "Don't let your guard down! Keep attacking!" His voice was as dull as a war drum, driving the team behind him.
However, this battle was not going to go so smoothly. Several opponents fought back fiercely, and Draco felt a sense of pressure approaching.
"We should split up and continue to outflank them!" His voice was still firm, but the expression on his face was slightly anxious.
"Are you saying we should spread out?" Zach frowned, "It will be easier to defeat us this way."
"No time to argue! Get moving!" Draco waved his wand and led the team to disperse in different directions, trying to find an advantageous position as much as possible.
In this chaos, Harry and his companions also felt the breath of conflict. Hearing such a noise, they did not retreat, but chose to face the challenge.
"We can't fall behind!" Harry shouted, his eyes shining with determination, "Fight for our ideals!"
There was a fierce confrontation from the other side, and Harry felt a warm current in his heart. Although Slytherin's theory was cruel, he always tried to defend what he thought was right.
