Hogwarts's Master of Mind

Chapter 442: Breaking into Gringotts, Betrayal

"Mrs. Lestrange."

In Diagon Alley, the members of the Snatch Team who passed by greeted Hermione who was disguised as Bella.

"Good morning." Hermione greeted the other party stiffly.

The members of the search team were stunned for a moment, curled their lips and then walked away.

"Good morning!" Griphook lowered his voice and kicked Hermione.

"Hey, don't be so excited." Harry came out to stop him.

"She almost killed us just now. Don't use your student's thinking to face the Death Eaters, otherwise we can commit suicide with this sword!" Griphook's voice was filled with anger and warning.

Harry carried him on his back, covered himself with the Invisibility Cloak, and the four of them walked into Gringotts together.

The decoration in the hall is still luxurious. The towering counters on both sides have stood here as they have for decades, and the goblins above them are handling their respective businesses.

But what is different from the past is that many regulatory agency personnel will patrol between the counters and occasionally go up to check the goblins' bills. If they find anything wrong, they will have the right to arrest the goblins and escort them to the Wizengamot.

When Voldemort was controlling Britain, he once planned to enslave the goblins. Although he encountered resistance, because of the existence of this regulatory agency, he did not intend to kill all the goblins, but instead wanted to force the goblins to submit through high pressure.

Hermione walked into the center and came to the counter in the center of Gringotts and coughed, "I need to go to my vault!"

The goblin in front of her pushed up his glasses when he saw her tone, then turned around to look for the supervisor, Bogrod.

"If they know she's an impostor, we're doomed," Griphook whispered.

Ron saw the security guard behind him approaching them, and put his right hand in his pocket, secretly holding his wand.

A moment later, the goblin from before came to the counter with Bogrod. He gave Hermione a slightly apologetic smile, "Mrs. Lestrange, can we see your wand?"

"Why should I show it?" Hermione continued to look up and pout.

"This is the bank's rule. You know the situation is tense now." Bogrod smiled. He was basically certain that the woman in front of him was a fake.

"I don't care about the situation." Hermione's momentum was too weak to pretend to be as crazy as Bella.

"Then I'm afraid..." Just as Bogrod was about to speak, a magic wand stretched out from the right and cast a spell on him.

"The soul leaves the body."

"Please follow me." Bogrod said the exact opposite with a dull expression.

The goblin next to him gave him a strange look, but because Bogrod was their supervisor, he didn't say anything.

The security guard behind him saw that Bogrod had agreed to take people there, and gradually stopped.

Several people got on the rail car and began to dive towards the underground. On the way, they were wet by the waterfall set at the top. Finally, the rail car stopped halfway and flipped down, and everyone was thrown directly into the bottom of the vault.

"Shock absorption and speed stop." Hermione cast a spell in time to keep the few people suspended on the ground when they were about to be smashed into meat paste.

They got up from the ground, and Hermione and Ron had returned to their original appearance.

"You guys have changed back?" Harry looked at the two people who had recovered.

"It's the Thief-Proofing Falls. It washes away all magic," Griphook explained.

"Why didn't you say so earlier!" Ron glared at Griphook.

Bogrod also woke up and saw several strangers. "You? You are thieves. And you, Lahup, you have been fired, you scumbag..."

"Soul out of the body." Ron cast a soul-destroying spell on Bogrod before he could finish his words.

Roar--!

A low roar came from behind the crowd. They walked forward and saw a white fire dragon lying on the ground outside the vault.

"Oops, it's a Ukrainian Ironbelly Dragon." Ron leaned against the corner.

Griphook took out two sieves from the box next to him and shook them. The continuous muffled sound made the fire dragon retreat in fear.

"Why?" Hermione asked.

"He was trained to be beaten if he heard any noise," Griphook explained casually, then waved his hand, "Follow me now."

They passed through the hall guarded by the fire dragon and came to rows of vaults. Griphook grabbed Bogrod's hand and pressed it on the door. With a click, the magic recognized the corresponding person, and the lever on the vault door began to shrink.

Then, the entire metal door automatically popped open and retracted to both sides of the door frame.

"It's been cast with a suction magic. If the wrong person activates the mechanism, they'll be sucked in and stuck in the compartment inside. By the way, we only clean the compartments once every ten years." Griphook smiled evilly, as if to deter intruders, but at this moment, he was already one of the invaders.

They came to the vault, which was filled with all kinds of gold, silver and jewelry. The three wizards took out their wands and used the fluorescent spell. The gold glowed with a unique color under the faint light, but no one was in the mood to pay attention to the gold.

"Harry, do you sense the Horcrux?" Ron asked.

"Horcruxes are coming." Hermione tried to use the Summoning Charm.

"It's useless Hermione, Horcruxes are immune to the Swarm Curse." Harry stopped her.

Then, Harry closed his eyes and began to spread his magic power, using his magical perception to touch the surrounding ornaments. After a while, he heard a golden cup placed high up whispering.

"There!" Harry pointed to a golden cup on a stand on the wall.

When Hermione looked up at the golden cup, she accidentally touched a golden bowl. It fell to the ground and began to vibrate. After a while, it split into two, and the vibration had not stopped yet.

"These things have been cast under a duplication spell!" Griphook reminded.

But Harry had already pounced on it, and the moment he came into contact with the treasure, the gold began to replicate itself. More and more gold bricks and gold bowls pushed Harry up. Fortunately, at the critical moment, he stabbed with Gryffindor's sword, hooked the handle of the golden cup, and then pulled back to get the golden cup in his hand.

Then, the three of them swam in the ocean of gold bricks towards the gate. Griphook snatched the gold cup from Harry's hand and threatened, "Give me the sword of Gryffindor!"

Harry looked at him angrily and threw the sword away. Griphook took the sword, admired it, and then threw the golden cup to Hermione.

"I said I would bring you in, but I didn't say I would take you out." The smile on Griphook's face was cunning and twisted, making people shudder.

He slapped Bogrod's hand back to the magic identifier, and the door began to close slowly.

"God of War!" The golden magic power on Harry's body burst out, directly cutting the closed door into pieces, and rushed out with his two friends.

However, Griphook had already taken the sieve away and activated the alarm. Many security wizards from Gringotts were on their way, and they were casting spells at the three people from a long distance.

"Don't worry, at least we still have Bogrod, right?" Ron leaned against the stone pillar to avoid the spell.

But because of the Soul-stealing Curse, Bogrod below was standing right next to the fire dragon's mouth and was swallowed by the dragon.

Harry and Hermione looked at Ron helplessly.
