Hogwarts's Master of Mind

Chapter 350: Horas' Olive Branch, Controlling the Prophecy

On the train, Hermione and Ron returned from a meeting in the prefects' carriage with Horace's invitation.

"It seems that this new professor is a very snobby guy." Ron frowned.

"What do you mean?"

Harry was puzzled. The night he and Aiden visited Horace made Harry feel that Horace was a nice person.

"He has gathered all the wizarding students on the train for a party. Here is the invitation. You and Aiden are both invited."

Hermione pulled out a scroll and handed it to Harry.

"Humph, you blind old man, why didn't you invite me?" Ron crossed his arms.

"Then let's go and meet this slug professor." Aiden smiled.

He took the scroll from Harry and walked towards the professor's box at the rear of the car.

Outside the box, Aiden sensed the fluctuation of magical power, and Horace cast a traceless extension spell on the inside.

Opening the door of the box, there were only Ginny and Neville inside.

He also saw Marcos Belby, the nephew of the inventor of the wolfsbane potion, Cormac McLaggen, the son of Bones' good friend, and Blaise Zabini, a rich kid.

The last one is the eldest son of the Lestrange family, Edmund Lestrange.

When Edmund saw Aiden coming in, he sent him a huge distress signal. It seemed that he was being harassed by Horace.

"Oh, you are all here!" Horace raised his hat to the two of them.

After everyone was seated, Horace served them pie.

Then, Horace began to check their information by asking them various questions in a household registration-style manner.

After chatting for a while, he gradually ignored him when he learned from Belby that he was not familiar with his uncle.

Neville also received the same treatment. After a brief chat with Neville, Horace concluded that he was an untalented child.

All of this was seen by the insightful person in the box, and what surprised Aiden was that Horace was not recruiting new members for his club.

It turned out that Horace was planning to take in an extremely capable apprentice and teach him all he had learned throughout his life.

When the opponent becomes strong, rely on the opponent's wings to resist the Death Eaters.

During the entire party, Horace was the most enthusiastic about Edmund. Edmund, who was the best in character, family background, and strength, was undoubtedly the best candidate for Horace's plan.

This created the strange scene of Horace circling around Edmund.

"Well, let's make a deal. You must come to my place often to get together after school starts."

After the banquet, Horace warmly invited Edmund to meet again next time.

Edmund shuddered and quickly used Aiden as an excuse to drag him away.

"What's wrong with this old man? Does he like me?"

In the corridor of the train, Edmund made sure that the other party couldn't hear him and quickly asked his telepathic roommate.

"Yeah, he thinks you're pretty good. Your personality, family background, strength... and looks." Aiden made a funny expression.

"Really!" Edmund had a lot of question marks in his head.

"It's fake. Actually, he wants to win you over."

As Aiden walked, he held a carving knife and carved runes on a metal block.

Edmund let out a long breath and put his heart back into his chest.

"Why would he want to win me over? And if he really wants to win me over, wouldn't you be a more suitable person?" Edmund frowned.

"I have all the fame, power, and wealth. What can he use to win me over?"

Aiden spread his hands, an expression that seemed extremely Versailles to Edmund.

"Besides, he just wants to teach you all his unique skills, and then rely on you to fight Voldemort."

"And it just so happens that our line has an irreconcilable conflict with Bellatrix Lestrange, the core figure of Voldemort's Death Eaters."

Edmund calmed down and began to analyze the information given by Aiden.

"So, do you think I should accept his olive branch?" Edmund asked.

"How should I know? It depends on whether you want him to surrender. Anyway, he is looking for you, Lestrange. What does it have to do with me, Prewett?" Aiden smiled and ran towards the carriage.

"What? You are so disloyal. Stop right there!" Edmund chased after him with a smile.

In the carriage, Ethan watched them get on board while playing and joking.

"Where did you two go? I searched the entire car but couldn't find you." Ethan questioned the two like a wife questioning her husband.

Aiden told him about Horace.

"Wow, so now you have a professor who likes you, and at least there's hope for an advanced class?" Ethan's eyes widened.

"Your grades in Defense Against the Dark Arts and Transfiguration are pretty good, right? Professor McGonagall won't reject you." Aiden raised his eyebrows.

"Wait, I haven't told you about my grades yet, how come you... Legilimency?" Ethan gave Aiden an accusing look.

"No, it's a prophecy, a small-scale prophecy to some extent. For example, Edmund will fall down due to the bumps in the carriage."

Aiden spoke casually, and Edmund, who was standing beside him, was startled when he heard this.

"what?"

As he focused his attention on Aiden's prophecy, the carriage indeed jolted and Edmund fell to the ground.

"Damn it, it's really a prophecy, you are not using some kind of magic to play a prank on me!" Edmund held his head and stood up.

"Try again? Hold my hand and feel my magic. If I use magic you will know it immediately."

Aiden held out his hand, and Edmund took it decisively.

"When we get off the bus later, Ethan will fall down."

The prophecy was made once again, and Edmund concentrated on feeling the flow of magic in Aiden.

"Hmph, wait for me to slap you in the face."

Ethan decided to be extremely careful to avoid being arranged by Aiden.

When the carriage stopped, he let Aiden and Edmund get off first. He also planned to grab Aiden's hand later, so that at least some prankster would be implicated when he was playing a prank on him.

Unfortunately, Aiden and Edmund got out of the car first.

When Ethan got off the carriage, the nails of the carriage ladder broke due to rust.

The entire ladder fell down, Ethan missed a step and rolled off the carriage.

And he rolled steadily in front of Aiden and Edmund.

"It's actually true, and you really didn't use any magic!" Edmund exclaimed.

"Okay, stop holding onto each other and give me a hand."

Ethan fell to the ground and rolled over, calling for help.

The two men let go of each other's hands and helped Ethan up from the ground.

"You believe it this time?" Aiden raised his eyebrows.

"Letter!" They both shuddered in unison.

They walked through the gates of Hogwarts with their luggage.

Hogwarts has stepped up security this year, with a large number of Aurors on duty outside the campus.

Professor Flitwick was standing at the door checking the names of the names one by one, while also casting a restoration spell on the young wizards to prevent anyone from sneaking in using Polyjuice Potion.

"Good evening, Professor Flitwick." * 3

"Return to original form!" Professor Flitwick didn't greet the other two people, but directly cast a spell.

Seeing that the three people's expressions did not change, he nodded with satisfaction.

"Hogwarts is not peaceful this year. You must be more careful."

When the three passed by Professor Flitwick, he whispered a reminder, and the three nodded to him.

As for the belongings, Filch was carefully checking the luggage of each little wizard.

Aiden and the other two handed the luggage to him and hurried to the hall.
