Waiting for you at the place where you are reborn

Chapter 144 When did it become so romantic

At around three o'clock in the afternoon, Du Qingqing came to Fang Zheng's home after preparing her lessons.

Fang Zheng was wearing an apron and cutting meat and scraping fish scales in the kitchen, while Bo Tong was washing vegetables nearby.

Du Qingqing walked into the kitchen, rolled up her sleeves and asked, "What can I help with? Uncle and Aunt are not here?"

"They deliberately went to work today so that we young people can have fun. You go out and watch TV." Bo Tong said, "Today we boys will cook."

"Who said boys should cook?" Fang Zheng called out, "Du Qingqing, come here. I'll teach you how to cook fish. Today we're going to make a squirrel fish."

Du Qingqing happily walked to Fang Zheng and said, "Okay, I just want to learn how to cook fish."

Botong said: "You just order Qingqing around."

Fang Zheng said: "Who said I was ordering her around? I was giving her life skills so she can eat whatever she wants and make whatever she wants, right?"

Du Qingqing took the fish from Fang Zheng's hand with a smile, but because she couldn't hold the slippery fish body, the fish fell to the ground.

Fang Zheng picked up the fish and said to her, "You have to hold the fish flat in your hand to keep it steady."

"I'm so stupid." Du Qingqing blushed and took the fish again.

"You didn't master the method. Look, it won't fall off now." Fang Zheng said.

Bo Tong looked at Fang Zheng and said, "That's strange. You don't seem to be that patient with us. Last time, you scolded He Xinyan for dropping a fish on the ground."

"Really? Did I scold her? I was just joking with her." Fang Zheng stood up and started cutting meat.

"Didn't you cook fish for her today?"

Fang Zheng shook his body and said, "Yes, she helped me so much. She asked me to do it, how could I not do it for her?"

Du Qingqing scraped the fish scales silently and stopped talking quietly.

Bo Tong couldn't help but secretly glance at Du Qingqing out of the corner of his eye. There was an indescribable emotion on her face, her eyes flickered, and she seemed to be hesitant to speak.

At five o'clock in the afternoon, He Xinyan arrived at Fang Zheng's house.

The dishes prepared by Fang Zheng had already been served on the dining table in the living room. When He Xinyan walked into the kitchen, she saw Fang Zheng and Du Qingqing who was standing beside him and moving around.

"Fang Zheng!" He Xinyan shouted, "The chef is busy."

"You're here?" Fang Zheng said excitedly, "Go out first, this is just one dish."

"Are you two cooking? Where's Botong?" He Xinyan asked.

"He is also a helper. He is preparing to serve the rice now." Fang Zheng said.

Bo Tong was carrying a rice cooker into the living room and shouted outside, "It's time to eat, Fang Zheng, when will your beef stew with potatoes be ready?"

"It will be ready soon." Fang Zheng said.

Du Qingqing handed the cut potatoes to Fang Zheng, who turned around and looked at her and said, "Thank you for your hard work today."

Du Qingqing smiled and shook her head.

Fang Zheng brought the last dish to the table. Bo Tong had already served the rice and poured a glass of red wine for everyone.

Fang Zheng said: "Botong, you even prepared some wine. When did you become so romantic?"

Bo Tong said, "What's so romantic about this? This is a gift from my college classmate. He said it was a 1990 Frank Earl dry red wine. I don't know much about wine, but he said it was a good wine, so I took it out for everyone to enjoy."

Fang Zheng raised his glass and said, "It doesn't matter whether it's a red wine produced in 1990 or yesterday, let's toast to the next few decades."

The four young men clinked their glasses.

Fang Zheng picked up a piece of fish and gave it to He Xinyan, saying, "You have to try my squirrel fish today, and don't say it's salty anymore."

He Xinyan said while eating the fish: "You really hold a grudge."
